Hi guys,
I need some help, I recently got my OnePlus 5t and think it's an absolute blast. Only thing is, before I was using a HTC one m9 with a custom ROM. The ROM gave you the ability to change the navbar height, means the actual size of the navbar. The OnePlus 5t navbar is so high that I keep clicking on the damn navbar when I'm typing. Is there any way whatsoever to change the size of the damn thing? I couldn't find a solution anywhere...
Would mean a great deal of you guys had a solution for me.
I had the same problem, now using gestures, forget the navbar, gestures is the future, tried going back to navbar, seems archaic now

Hi all.
I am using Cm10 and have been for awhile but was wondering what the main differences are between CM and Task?
Can anyone clarify this for me?
Thanks a lot

I find AOKP gives you more choices to customize your device.
Would you mind elaborating on that and giving me some examples
If not I totally understand.
Have a great evening

You have more options to mod the UI:
ROM Control- you can get nav bar like in nexus
change battery icon style, color
disable or custom boot animation
change toggle style and layout
add brightness bar to statusbar
enable face down audio mode when u put phone face down it would go to silent or vibrate
and more
lots of goodies that in cm10 you have to custom install
I find cm10 to be smoother than aokp

Interesting, seems like there are quite a few extras and worth the trial. The only think i see missing from CM10 is the additional 2 shortcuts from the lock screen (not a huge deal for me anyways)..
I'm curious though, how would one use ROM control with nav bar like in nexus (since S3 already has meny and back capacative)? Just wondering how it may be used..
Thanks again

Some people are used to the nav bar, maybe if they're coming from a Galaxy Nexus or something. I don't find it useful at all, because as you said, the S3 already has a menu, back, and home button. Also, you'll lose a bit of screen space by using them. Hope this helps!
IHey there, i'm not sure if this is the right category to post it, since it's a request/idea/theme related, but anyways here's the thing.
The Navbar, It's nice to use but it looks kinda horrid, not to mention the screen estate loss & Screen Burn-in effect, So i was thinking.
So the idea is :
Can it be that the navigation bar would change color to match that of the app you're running currently? is it attainable? please fill me in
If not, can anyone help me on getting it Transparent (regardless of performance drop, it's okay) because i looked everywhere and i can't find anything about it, Changing it color or making it transparent would do for now until that feature is available (in the next android update or in a Custom ROM like AOKP/PA/CNA.
Thanks in advance ;A;
[Fixed] : ParanoidAndroid added this feature and nailed it, thanks!

Flashed it, but i was looking for a more..er..Universal solution, One that would make it transparent while using Apps but thanks anyways, let's see if someone can tell us more
I have a LG G4 (Model: LGUS991). I rooted it (Stock Rom + Root), but it does not allow any custom roms to be installed. I think T-Mobile version of G4 is the only one that allows this.
I love everything on the phone, however, the only thing I want to do is reduce the size Navigation bar. I feel that it's simply too big. I'm assuming it'll be a simple flash or changing system setting to change navigation_bar_height to 30 dp or something?
If you want to see an example, please take a look at this thread. He has a much smaller navigation bar.

How can I achieve the same thing? Help is greatly appreciated.
I think the shortest way to lower the bar in your case is installing the Xposed framework and using modules to lower the bar
And transparent navbar ?
I have not managed to get working layers on the framework. The only way is to recompile frameworks framework-res.apk and change navigation bar height in dimens values. The navbar icons (vectors) need to be adapted as well.

I'm not too sure on how to do any of those. First of all, I'm not able to unlock the boot loader for this phone since it is not a T-Mobile LG G4 (That's the only one that can be unlocked). Therefore, I don't have access to TWRP boot loader. Is there still a possible way for me to do this?
Then not.

Force copy the modded framework-res while the device is booted should work btw. A but risky, i know.
You are right my friend.

Hey guys, i really need the pixel navbar! Any flashable zips or other things? The Navbar App is not compatible with htc 10, the Xstanaa skin buttons size are to big for me and the xposed Modul Nougat Navbar looks not like the pixel navbar. Any help?
Wrong section, really fooled me into thinking there was a mod for Pixel Navbar for download.
Sorry, my bad.
Do you know where i can find this mod?
I edited the thread title to clarify that you were looking for this mod, not posting one.
I'm trying to make a substratum theme to overlay SystemUI, to make the navigation bar black, by override "op_nav_bar_background_light" from "ffebebeb" to "ff000001" in colors.xml. But sometimes the nav bar is still white. Also, I have tried overriding "android:navigationBarColor" in styles.xml but still no luck. Any thought ?
PS: I have done a lot of researches so please don't suggest nav bar app, i'm trying to make a solution instead of a work around.
You can use a Xposed module if you don't care about safetynet

Xposed is not stable on Pie yet.
It might not be possible to do this, unfortunately. I don't have any credentials or knowledge to support this, BUT the only logical conclusion I can come to is this has been a complaint for a long time now, and if no one has come up with any solution by now, there probably isn't one
