Hi, recently I switched from Nexus 5 to Lenovo P2 but the phone I got has bloatware from T-Mobile and they don't seem to hurry with releasing Nougat to my phone
I noticed that in dev setting there's an option to OEM unlock the device, does it unlock the bootloader or just permits me to unlock it manually?
If so, after unlocking all I'll need to do will be just to flash TWRP and that's it?

Click to collapse
This option only allows you to unlock it, it doesn't actually unlocks the bootloader
I asked a bootloader unlocking from my device. If after the 14 days period I don't unlock it with fastboot, do you think my warranty is still valid ?
I am thinking oft buying this Phone but rooting is very important to me. What I have found out so far is that you have to unlock your bootloader to install TWRP. Your warranty will officially be void.
Now my question: has sb send his phone to repair in Germany? Does Lenovo really check their database for your phone? And what about this 14 days wait?
Thanks in advance
Since the bootloader itself is a piece of software. Is it possible to flash an already unlocked bootloader on a locked phone to unlock it?
Is it possible to unlock bootloader with existing Lenovo id which I use earlier to unlock my other Lenovo P2 bootloader?
I get this error when I try to unlock the lg site.
Unfortunately, your device( Turkey, (TURKEY), LMG710EM.TUR )does not support unlocking the bootloader. Your account will be locked if you enter the wrong information more than 9 times.
Do I have a chance to unlock otherwise?
Hi there, I can't unlock my Xiaomi Redmi 7 bootloader because I can't active the find device service, Is there any other way to unlock it?
Surely there's a way to unlock the bootloader of an Asus ROG phone 6 without the unlock tool?
Does anyone know how? And is it as simple as other OEM unlocks
It's possible but not simple.
ASUS remove the OEM unlock commands from all their roms to force using the official unlock app. The one they have decided to no longer offer.
What needs to be done is someone patching a ROM to enable those and re-pack it as a RAW or EDL that can be force flashed on to a locked device. After that the device can simply be unlocked with the standard commands. It requires some development work that nobody has looked into yet. It was done for ROG 2.
