Boost headphone volume - nougat - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Did somebody found a way to boost volume on nougat, except viper and by kernel. Viper I already have and by kernel I cannot as blu*spark doest have a feature like this. I remember in the old times there was a way by editing some files.

Hello everybody. I need to volume up of the microphone during the call. please tell me,which lines are responsible for the volume of the microphone? I found there are 3 options: Line, Line_vr and Line-voice, which seems to me to be responsible for it. I changed them to the value of 88, but the volume remains the same. It may be worth more to change something?
Stock 5.0.2 Lollipop
anybody?
I'm having the same issue. Did you ever fix it?
on LL - not remember. maybe solve it with custom kernel.
on MM - absolutely yes. via mini's kernel. but if you on stock MM - don't flash him. tell me and i provide to you link to download workable custom kernel for stock.
on N - not yet, because kernel like stock kernel, there is no setting for audio, cpu governors etc.

low speaker volume on cyanogen roms

OK...so I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this problem or not, but every cm ROM I have installed the speaker call volume is obnoxiously low...if I'm on a stock lollipop or stock marshmallow ROM whether its modded or not the volume is fine but on a cm ROM it sucks...its only the voice call speaker volume that is low. The bluetooth, media volume, etc... is fine. I have tried increasing the voice call speaker volume through the mixer paths XML file via es file explorer and it only gets distorted and I have tried many ways...turning it down from 66 to 64 (that makes it sound lower), turning it up from 66 to 68, 70 (that makes it sound distorted). Anyway is this a normal issue for cm ROMs for the speaker call volume to sound low or is there some kind of work around to enhance the volume...thanks
Friend, that sounds like it could be a modem issue. I've used CM-based ROMs for years and haven't had this issue. Currently on vanilla CM and my call/speaker volume is great (D850 variant).
Strange...well I don't reflash bootstacks if I'm already on the correct one but y would everything else work except speakerphone...should I try a modem all by itself? I'm on vs985 variant running resurrection remix (latest build)

Yes. Find a modem for your device and flash it through recovery. It's possible the solution could be that quick and easy. I have no idea why one thing would work and not the other, but personally I would start with the modem.
CM Roms ... The kernels have fauxsound support in kernel management... Have you tried adjusting those settings?
I have not but somebody has told me that when I put them on speakerphone they can hear themselves echoing back when they talk...I flashed to a stock based rom and they no longer hear the echo...I reflashed a custom Rom and now they hear the echo again...so...I flashed a couple more cm aosp rims and they hear the echo on those roms to...is the echo curse normal on custom aosp roms or is there something I'm missing???

ViPER4Android on HTC 10

Hey guys,
was anybody of you able to install ViPER4Android on HTC 10 7.0 Nougat?
There is an official Nougat version released, the apk run's perfectly, nonetheless the app everytime returns that the audio drivers need to be updated/installed. After pressing "yes", my phone tells me the audio drivers were installed and I need to reboot the phone.
After the reboot the same message that there is the need to install the sound drivers?! Tried it a few times now.
And yes, my phone is rooted.
... and would you say it would make a difference to install ViPER4Android even if the Boomsound of the HTC 10 is already pretty nice?!
Thanks guys....
Hi,
It is necessary the version 2.5.0.5 and in Zip, not in Apk!
Diverse file are needed to work.
It is integrated into my Rom Pyrana NO7-0.8 with Dolby.
@+
In my honest opinion, A.R.I.S.E can do the same as what Viper4Android can do except it actually has huge device support.
I used to use it but I now don't need it due to an upgrade of the speakers I was connecting it to, works almost identically and can sometimes fix the secondary speaker that doesnt work on some ROMs. nothing third-party seems to be better optimized for boomsound though, the standard is usually the nicest sounding.

Really low MIC volume

Hi there!
I don't think anyone else addressed the issue yet.
The problem occurs when I'm using any custom ROM - it's there both on Lineage and RR. (that's why I don't really know if it's the right section to post this on).
All I'm asking - is there any way to increase the mic volume, preferably systemless? Magisk's Audio Mic Fix doesn't seem to work and I don't think I want to tamper with system/etc/mixer_paths.xml by myself.
Thanks in advance
@edit: Just checked it - mixer_paths.xml in stock and in RR rom are identical

Sound mods

Has anyone managed to install Dolby Atmos?? I managed to root stock firmware but am unable to install any sound mods!! Has anyone any ideas? I've tried Zirene,Atmos and Viper and none of them work!! Many thanks in advance
I haven't managed to get sound mods to work on any device I've tried - Sony or Samsung (and a Lenovo P2). That said, crude but effective volume increase can be modded, instructions in this thread. If you have any idea how to get this working, please post it here! Ideally I'd be using one of them as well as a system wide vol boost / eq.

Try this out!!! Works perfectly for me and you don't need root!! Press Thanks if this has helped you!! Wicked stuff to the Dev!
Install the viper4android module with magisk, but first uninstall, disable, audio fx and sound settings. It works fantastic.
