My device is rooted.
Andriod Version 4.0.3

HTC SDK API: - 4.11
You need a completely Stock ROM in your device before you can do an OTA update.
No root, no busybox, no missing files.

so i installed a custom rom oriox to my htc one x but now there isn't system update check part. how can i get it back ?:good:
You need to go back to stock Rom & recovery, and may have to relock your bootloader.
Some custom Roms have ota updates, but many don't support it.
Check the Rom threads to check if supported.

Hi Guys,
I looked for an answer before posting this message but I couldn't find any clear post on that.
I installed in December a Flashable GPE with Android 6 onto my HTC One M8 and I received few days ago a notification for a System Update to the version MRA58K.H9.
If I click on Install update it will restart in TWRP, so looking around I found that the update needs to be manually installed.
Now my question: I downloaded the update file from google (approx 28 mb), is it enough to restart in TRWP and flash this zip file? Or is something else needed?
Many thanks
OTA updates require stock recovery to install. Further, if your version is not GPE (and that sounds like the case - a Sense version with GPE ROM flashed to it), the OTA will fail for CID check, and also wrong firmware number.
Received message on my phone that RIO-LO3C567B160CUSTC567D002 update is available. Update is 136 MB in size. Currently running RIO-L03C567B141
Downloaded the update and try to install but after 26%, I got message that it failed.
Anyone know why?? And does anyone know how I can retrieve the update (zip file) from my cache so I can manually flash it with twrp.
I am running stock unlocked rooted base with stock recovery (I have twrp ready to flash also).
Huawei website still shows only B141 package available for download: http://consumer.huawei.com/us/suppo...0=Mobile Phones&key1=Smartphones&key2=RIO-L23
Thanks in advance.

You cant download an ota on a rooted device. download the zip from xda or oneplus's forums and flash it through flashfire app.
I download OnePlus forum and flash twrp recovery option
Why my OTA update options is light theme but
Another people OTA update option is dark theme
You should flash the full ROM (previous one you were running) + the new OTA patch "together" after wiping the system partition. Or else it would end up in an error.
