S9+ SM-G965F on UK network
Noticed 2 problems while trying to track down incoming call notifications-- has anyone else seen this:
Problem 1
I made a call from a landline to my S9+ and allowed it to ring --it cycled three times through the Over the Horizons ringtone and then I hungup the landline phone whilst the s9+ was starting the 4th cycle of the ringtone. However the S9+ continued to play the ringtone an additional 5 -6 cycles. This was about 3 minutes after I had hungup the landline phone. Whilst the S9+ was still ringing , I called the s9+ from the same land line and got busy tone. I could only call the S9+ once it had recognised the call at ended, approx 3 minutes after I originally hungup the landline.
Problem 2
I used the S9+ volume rocker to turn down the volume of the ringtone whilst being called. I took the volume down until it muted , and then tried to adjust the volume up, however it remained muted. Testing it again, calling the s9+, the phone rang as normal , but the volume remained muted when using the volume rocker to adjust the volume down and then up exactly as before.
Aside from this, notification of missed calls do not work consistently.

Hi!
My Rhodium with WM6.5/Dutch behaves strangely... Multiple times a day I get a missed call notification, but the phone never rang (while other calls do get through and it isn't set to silent mode). It also occurs that the phone only rings once and the callers thinks I ignored the call by pushing the hanup key, but I didn't even touch the phone in time to do that.
Anyone else seen this behaviour?
I currently have Tasker set up to bump up the ringer volume of an incoming call from a specific contact.
It works fine if the volume is at 1 or higher but if the phone is on silent it sets the volume to 7 (I set it to display, so I can see the volume being maxed) but the phone doesn't ring.
I did digging and found that on some phones if the ringer is silent when the call is incoming it doesn't load the ring tone so if the volume is maxed after still it wouldn't ring.
I have also read other post with people who have the GNex who have a similar Tasker set up to the one I am looking to create. Which implies that the GNex is not one of the phone which remains silent if the phone was silent when the call came in.
Can any one confirm? Thanks.
I am rooted/stock. My tasker profile is very simple. State > incoming call from xxxxx contact. Task Ringer Volume to level 7.
I still don't know the answer to this question but in case someone else has a similar problem,
With Tasker I just modified by Profile a little
State> Incoming Call.
Task
If VOLR = 0
set VOLR level 7
Play Ringtone
Else
Set VOLR Level 7
Endif
Not sure if thats the best way to do it but it appears to be working.

My nexus rooted (and before I rooted it) with stock rom does it correctly with tasker.
If my phone is in silent and I get an incoming call from one of those I filtered it gets loud...
After the call the phone gets back to silent mode..
This hasn't always been the case, but maybe it cropped up after the last update.
My in call volume is really low and adjusting the volume doesn't do anything. Maxed out its low. If I go down lower, to its lowest it's still the same volume as maxed. No change in volume up or down.
This is really obnoxious, anyone else have similar problems? I tried googling around but no dice. Found some old stuff circa 2013 for the nexus 5...
EDIT: Only happens in stock dialer app on my mobile phone number. Google voice/hangouts number in call volume works correctly... So it's not a hardware issue.
Yes I have this 50% of the time when on my handsfree in the car. I can ring someone, hear the dial tone is low, hangup and immediately redial and its fine. Its driving me crazy! Changing volume between min and max makes absolutely no difference to call volume.....
Hello,
I have noticed that for some time now whenever I try to adjust the volume of a call (during that call, using the volume buttons) the Bluetooth volume is adjusted instead of the in call volume, leaving me to either not hear well enough or too hearing too loud.
I have tried rebooting and noticed that for a few seconds after each reboot (about 15) whenever I place a call I can adjust the in call volume just fine. There is a definite point in time, though, when the in call volume in replaced with adjusting the Bluetooth volume during the same call after boot.
Notice that I do not have Bluetooth enabled and have never used a Bluetooth headset.
How can I debug this? This looks like some service starting and messing things up. How do I find which service is that?
Thanks.
On Android 9 my pixel 3xl used to have a hang up notification sound on call ended. But since the upgrade to Android 10 when a call is ended there is no call end sound. This was helpful as in poor reception I don't realise the call got cut off until I look at my phone.
Is there any way to enable this. I normally run my phone in silient mode and vibrate for the past handful of years.
