i'm on android 5.1 and i need to know how i can install custom rom or at least the last android for the phone.
any help on rooting or installing any rom is very appreciated.

Hi
I have a LG E973. I installed Cyanogen Mod on it. Right now, it is giving me some problems. I would like to know if it is possible at all to install the Software OS that came with the phone which LG had it pre-installed when I bought the phone.?
I didn't do a back up when I put Cyanogen Mod on it because I didn't think I would need it. Is it still possible to revert to the OS version manufacturer originally put on your phone?
Please advise.
Thanks
Like I said on your other thread just install the KDZ for your country via LG PC Tools...
Hi guys, I need some help.
Two weeks ago my mic stopped working so I installed the latest stock rom for my G3 D855 (D855P20C_00.kdz) with the KDZ method so I could use the warranty. (I followed this procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 and downloaded it here http://lg-firmware-rom.com/ )
Somehow LG find out that I had root before, they show me their software and it was displaying "rooting".
I don't know how, because it was totally formatted, I followed the procedure, I had lost twrp, root and it was in the same version I had when I bought my G3 which was 20C.
I was lucky, they had a lot of warnings in the room saying that 27/01/2016 was the last day that they would accept the warranty for cell phones with root, but they accepted mine.
Today I received my G3 back and they changed the main board, now I am afraid that if I root it again I won't be able to use my warranty without sue them first, which takes a lot of time.
I'm from Brazil, I read that in some countries in Europe they already separated the hardware warranty from software warranty, but here it's all the same, only one kind of warranty.
I am really suspicious that the technical assistance could have installed a faulty or old main board hoping that I would root my device again and then I would have to pay for the assistance in a next time.
Btw the new board also has the 20C rom..
I really want to install stock marshmallow again or fulmics rom, if anyone could help it would be really appreciated.
Sorry for my english and thank you in advance

I got my lg g3 fixed running v30b and i rooted it got all the lg g5 apps but i dont have custom recovery so i cant flash a rom and everytime i replace the framework and system ui from the lg g5 it gets bricked and i have to flash a new kdz so can someone help me? Please
what the.... why are u trying to port framework without a custom recovery? it's not hard to install there is a program called g3 autorec that you can find online (not on playstore) that will install an old version of twrp for you and backup your current recovery, just make sure u get the right one, there are diff versions for diff g3 models.
Motherboard doesn't support android kitkat/lollipop partitions
Now thats my problem my motherboard doesnt support android kitkat or lollipop so if my use autorec my motherboard is fried thats what happened last time when i tried to downgrade to kitkat i want to get a working port of framework and systemui and maybe lge-res so i can get a taste of the white theme from lg g5 that works for all variants after that i'll use root explorer
Cool?
My software version is
D85230B
V30B for short
Android 6.0 marshmallow
Can somebody please help me?

First downgrade to kitkat (with a d852 tot or kdz), then root, then use autorec. After that you can flash what you want.

Pretty sure you just did something wrong. You say your device is a D852 (from your software version), the fact that a D852 kdz or tot is not compatible with your D852 because it was manufactured in 2016 is very unlikely. You also said that your motherboard was "fried" when you tried to downgrade (which is again, VERY unlikely), if your motherboard was fried you phone would be dead right now.
"now i want you to ...(blablabla)", don't ever say that if you want to get some help.

I said it was unlikely that the kdz or tot wont work because your phone was manifactured in 2016, not that your phone was manifactured in 2016.
That being said, I guess you don't understand really well english and that's causing some misapprehension.
I was not rude or anything, I was just trying to help you.
Have a nice day, I wont answer anymore.
I strongly recommend this thread is closed.
I bought my phone and they told me that it was the d855 international 32GB 3GB RAM version, it came and it's currently on Stock 4.4.2 and was already rooted for some reason, I figured that out because there is no Update Software option and because of that I then ran Root Checker and it is indeed rooted.
I bought it planning on installing LineageOS, but I'm unsure if it really is the D855 model, it has 32GB of Storage, it DOES NOT have the antena of the Korean version, in Hardware Settings it says Model LG-D855 and in Software Settings it says Software Version D85510m.
The thing is that when I'm following this guide while I'm running LG UP the program says that my Phone is currently in version ls990zvb, why is that? should i trust LG UP? or should I trust the retailer?, I read that LS990 is a Sprint version and that ls990zvb is Lollipop for those devices, but my phone right now is running 4.4.2 Kitkat, not Lollipop.
I don't want to brick my phone just by installing the wrong KDZ from the incorrect model, and I really don't know which version it truly is, because I read somewhere that they can just edit the name and version that it shows in the Settings but it also doesn't make any sense that LG UP says that I'm running Lollipop while I'm not. I just want to use LineageOS and that's it.
Maybe this will help
Maybe the phone is refurbished and you should get it exchanged from the retailer asap?

I feel like you should trust LGUP, even though it reports the wrong version number. Checking the build.prop file also might help.
While not definitive, you could take off the back cover and look on the left side of the phone. It should have the model number printed there.

Well, my G3 says 'D850' there, but it's really a D852 (found out the hard way, bricked my phone then had to use LGUP), so I'm not sure how accurate the number is (ironically).
