Couple of annoying problems in phone mode: 1. Sometimes, even though phone is locked, it wil automatically answer calls when in my pocket - what's the point of being locked if it does this? 2. When on a call, if another call comes in phone will automatically switch to new call and point existing call on hold, with no warning or prompting from me - very annoying. Does anyone know how to stop these happening?
Other than that great phone with a few minor irritations, eg when in contacts looking for a number, if access say SMS or phone, when return to contacts has returned to top of address book - would be much more convenient if it stayed at last accessed name.
Did you enable "Automatic pickup" in your phone settings?
No, all settings are normal, and not set for automatic pick up??
Not sure if I was being clear earlier. So, here's a screenshot of the Automatic Pickup setting I was referring to.
On my Droid Incredible/Gingerbread I could configure whether the phone went to the call log or not after a call, but my Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2 always goes to the call log - this is especially annoying when I'm using the phone to navigate and get a call, when the call ends you don't just go back to the navigation. Anyone see a way to configure this that I missed?
Definitely interested in this as well
There is an app called "Not Call Log" which can take you to the home screen, dialer or open an app after hanging up. If you use Tasker, you can also set it to do anything with a "phone idle" condition (that may not make sense if you're not familiar with tasker).

Even though the call log appears, i believe the activity stack is is still maintained meaning after your call ends just press back twice, the second leaves the call log back to your prior activity.
Hy guys, i have a strange isue with my N2. It calls on its own a specific number from my contacts list. And when i call that number i have a green icon showing on call screen with the mention 2 days..., like there is some timer set. I searched the forum and the net but couldnt find an answer. What setting is this and how do i turn it off? Auto redial is set to off. Anyone know?
I'm on stock rom perseus kernel.
Edit: the green icon notifies me about the upcoming birthday set on that person contact.
But the call coming from me is still an issue. And that call doesnt appear in my journal, only on that person's phone. I have to see if it's not a problem with the other phone. Not a smart one, but Samsung.
Edit 2: problem solved (i guess). I made a call about 10 hrs before the person received it. Probably a cell/connection/network issue. That is why there was no log on that person phone about my call at the time i made it nor on my phone at the time it was received. Strange thing!
Hi! I hope this is the right place to ask. It may sound stupid but I just cannot turn off the auto sms feature on HTC Wildfire S. An automated sms is sent while the phone is in the locked state.
It shouldn't do that, but I know when I was using the WFS and I would drag the red dismiss/decline button to the lock ring I would sometimes then have to tap end call. I had voice mail turned off so maybe it was trying to send a message? It didn't seem to use minutes.
Did you know that when the phone is ringing there's a menu that is only available at that time, whether you're locked or unlocked when it rings...just tap the menu button on the bottom and you can mute the ring and let it ring through to voice mail. Curiously this is where I thought one had to go to send the SMS message, which I used to do when I was low on minutes...I set my message to say I was low and please text or email me...still after it sent the SMS I'd have to then tap on end call. Anyway, check what's in that menu, and if it still sends the SMS if you simply select decline from that menu. My other thought would be to press the power button twice to reject the call and see if it still sends the SMS. One last suggestion would be, in call settings, select to edit message before sending and when it wants to send the SMS and opens for editing, maybe cancel it, or set it to send blank if you're worried more about what you're saying than minutes?
Hello all,
This is kinda strange , HTC decided that rejected calls are missed calls and this doesn't bother that much, but when I reject a call a couple of options appear on the lock screen whether to send an text message or remind me to call the caller again. There is an option in Settings > Call which should disable these lock screen options for rejected calls "Declined Calls" with the following description: Show text message and reminder options for declined calls . I unchecked this setting but it still shows me the two options, any idea how to really disable those options?!
Best regards..
