as it`s said in the title, my touchscreen in Xperia Arc S is getting crazy during USB connecting. sometimes it just doesn`t work, sometimes behaves like I`ve putted two fingers on it, but I`m holding only one finger, sometimes just some area on screen works and some not. is there any way to fix that? i`ve got bootloader locked, so i can`t get root. I found this problem in every bulid I`ve tried.
I think this is a charger or Voltage or usb-cable's problem. you can change a usb-cable to try it again.

but if I`m putting my USB cable to a wall socket`s charget it`s ok, only during PC-USB charging this problem is appearing
and BTW I`ve not got any spare cable to try it. will try it tomorrow with my mom`s, dad`s and sister`s cables and let know is that ok or not
edit: I`ve tried with another USB cable and still got this problem. normal charging is ok but PC-USB charging causing problem.
HI, I have the same problem on arc S. Is there any solution yet?

If this problem happening only when phone is connected to pc and sd card mounted then I guess its app2sd bug something.
If only in charge mode then you cable is maybe "old"

I'm guessing it's internal current leak. There's nothing you can do about it, other than getting another phone.
Its probably because your laptop/computer has an "unearthed plug" (a plug with only two pins) whereas, your phone charger has earthed plug (3 pin plug).
The 3rd pin is to push out the excess current/voltage from your device to the ground and that is the reason you dont experience multiple-touches when you connect your charger directly to sockets. Simple as that.
Or because of capacitive touch screen nature reaction on different voltage ?

ya it happens only through the power supply and voltages problem..
it happens many times often...
i noticed that problem in indian trains..that when i did charging in train.it happens
and sometimes the battery also gets severly damaged through it..
so BEWARE..!!
I found the best solution ever....... just sold my Xperia and bought HTC Sensation
but for other people, I just had pre-beta version of Windows 8, which has a looooooooooooooooooooooooot of bugs, I reinstalled Windows 7 and all problems gone. And ether USB devices was getting crazy as well, so that must be something with USB port, not phone.
Howdy guys,
I found that there was a small amount of "noise" on the 5v line comming from my charger. and that was causing the touchscreen to fritz.
i tested using my osciliscope.
you'll prob find that the 5v line from you laptop is dirty. and the arcs internals cant filter it out. i dont know if prolonged use can cause dammage tho but i would advise against it.
so charge it from a stable source.
Pvy.
The same problem happens only when I connect my phone via HDMI to a TV! And it's annoying!
i have the same Problem too if i charge my LT15i with the Charger from a HTC Wildfire. At First i thought it has something to do with CM7 but now , on Arconium its still the same.
Fortunately my phone charges normal on the USB Port of my PC in the Company
I would say that if you get this problem using the original charger in any wall socket, try another charger if possible otherwise have both your phone and charger examined at a repair center.
If you get this problem charging via USB from a laptop or connecting via HDMI to a TV, check if the same problem appears during charging through a wall socket.
Basically you will have to check if the grounding problem is located in the charger, phone or other devices like a laptop or TV.

Hi, do you work at SE?
And I tried now and I also have this problem when conected to TV. So my problem is connecting to TV and to PC, but not when charging over wall socket.

Yes I work at SE.
In that case it seems that something changes the ground in your TV and PC.
Do you have any problems when the phone is not connected to anything?
Because if it works properly when connected to the charger via wall socket I don't think it's a problem with the phone or charger.
You could try to disconnect some other equipment from the TV when you connect your phone to see if this might be caused by some other equipment like antenna cable, sattelite dish, DVD or Blueray players etc.
This past Friday, I stayed a hotel and plugged my ZenFone 2 in to the TV to try to watch some of the videos stored on my phone. As soon as I plugged in my phone, it just died even if it still had 50% charge. It went off immediately and just wouldn't power back on even up until now. I haven't charged it since Friday and nothing. I've been trying to charge it for the past hour now and there doesn't seem to be any indication that it will get charged. There's no LEDs that are lit up, it doesn't vibrate when trying to turn on. I even tried the hardware reset procedure with pressing the volume up and/or volume down along with the power button for 10 seconds, and nothing.
Is there a way I can fix this or would I need to have it repaired?
Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
Connect it to your PC, update the drivers prior to it... Got mine back this way..

My PC can't recognize it... :/
Then ... you will have to send it back to the vendor ... seems the hardware faulted .. BTW .. when you say you connected it to the TV ... you used a mini usb to hdmi port? as it feels that the TV fried the chip-set (if the phone turned off immediately once you connected it to the TV)

The TV had a USB port so I just used the same cord that came with the charger. The cord isn't busted because I am still able use it to charge my Galaxy Note 2. I was also thinking that the TV may have fried the phone, so that sucks. But yeah, I guess at this point I think I will send it back to the vendor.
Thank you for trying to help. ü

Use a known good USB cable and connect it to your PC. It should charge and transfer data if the tab's port is still good. That being the case, it's your OTG adapter that's bad, obviously. Otherwise, time to repair the micro port on the tab.
Remove the backplate and reseat the two ribbon cables over the battery.
This is a design fault of the Nexus 7. These cables are to long and due to pressure on the back they move in the connectors.
I actually built a ramp for the cables (by raising and lowering it a bit I remove the slack in the cables) to stop weird things from happening.
I personally encountered: Ghost touches, weird charging times (2 days until charged on the lockscreen ), auto rotation randomly didn't work and required a reboot (3+ times a day ).
Does N7 link OK with a PC?
I see you also have LG G3 (D-855). Does the OTG adaptor work on it?

Oh, nice to know
I already built in my third display cause i am a little bit clumsy with my tablet in one hand
Will check this tomorrow
I remember a smal "presure point" on one of the "cable" that brown one which goes over the battery.
Hopefully this will fix it :'(

Yea everything works fine on my g3
I would be happy if there would be a nethunter port for it
But i will change back to Xiaomi the next few months, cause the quality and performance of their phones is just amazing for their price
Hello!
Recently I woke up and went to turn on my Shield TV Pro and it wouldnt turn on.
I am pretty sure it went to sleep as it normally does.
I tried various things like plugging in hdmi and usb and different power outlets as well.
It doesnt give any output.
I also connected to a pc and doesnt appear to see it either.
Has this happened to anyone before? Is there anything I could try?
I'd rather fix it myself instead of going to Nvidia to try for a replacement if possible.
If I do go the Nvidia route what has been your experience if you did a warranty claim? What is the process from start to finish?
I have never had this happen and had a few 2017 models for years without this issue. Bad luck I suppose upgrading to 2019 models and getting rid of my 2017 model and now dont have anything. I suppose its time to bust out the old MiBox 4k in the meantime.
Thanks
False alarm! I took the adapter off the power adapter and pushed it around a bit then plugged in and it came right up. Must have been a loose connection in the power adapter.
I wasn't looking forward to the rma process lol.
If anyone has similar issues the power adapter is universal so you can take the plug portion off. I believe this is in case you are in Europe or some other country that uses a different plug it can be swapped out using the same power adapter.
Hello all,
i have a renault.
Last year with miui 11 somewhere in december my phone charged just fine wehn it was connected to the car. Android auto worked fine as well.
Now with Miui 12 it stopped chargin. THe charging indicator on my phone goes of and on every second.
Tried all the tricks with, replacing the cable with an original from a friend.
Tried to toggle debugging on and off.
Updated my medianav evolution software (there where no updates).
Went to the Renault dealer to check for energy spikes in the charging socket, all their phones worked fine.
Tried a Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro from a friend, same issue.
Tried a Samsung mobile phone, charged fine and AA was working with the same cable i have for my xiaomi.
Tried a Hiuawei mobile phone, worked perfectly.
Tried an oppo phone, worked perfectly.
I never have charging issues with my phone connected to any device like a pc, laptop, charger, tv, android box etc etc.
My suspicion is that there is something in Miui that is causing the problem. I have seen a lot of threads about Miui andr AA for example.
Anybody have any idea why my phone stopped charging in my car? ANd when i get this resolved i assume AA will work again also.
anyone?
unlocked bootloader, rooted phone and installed pixel experience 10.
Still same issue.
Did a reset of my car radio.
No solution. Any help? any ideas?

Are you connecting to car usb port?
I doubt its miui, sounds like hardware, probably battery circuit board keeps disconnecting.
Maybe you can buy cheap charger for cigarette lighter port.
I agree that IT must be hardware.
I connect to USB port of my car because i want to use Android auto. IT charges fine when connected to charger or any other device like a computer.
I Read somewhere that maybe a USB hub could help. Will try that today
Hello !
I know its been a while but I have the exact same issue.
Were you able to resolve it ?
