I've a very strange problem on my z1 compact with jack audio
When a part of music is at low volume or simply decreasing volume the output sound become crappy similar to speaker's crackling but only at low volume.
isn't a connection problem of the jack audio because moving it does't change anything and i've tried different headset/ audio amplifier turn on airplane mode and the problem persist
Someone have a idea to fix this?
I really don't have idea of what can be, today audio trought jack was good but now is crappy ?
Randomly this problem appear, i think is a hardware problem and not connection (can be DSP damaged?)
No one can explain this issue / have this problem?
what can be? i try to restore original system with sony pc companion with no success (also the bootsound is crappy) but randomly sound good
Try with this if Bootloader are be unlocked:

I found a temporary fix for this problem
The problem appear only after reboot. But
If i use internal earpiece at least one time (doesn't matter how telegram whatsapp or simply start a call) the problem is fixed until next reboot!

Hey all,
I am having some trouble when connecting it in car to my Sony BT2700 head-unit it is all working brilliant calling, music and so on.
But the problem shows when disconnection it again and making or receiving a call the sound in the ear is very loud and metallic, the only way to fix it is rebooting. When it happens I try to turn the volume down or up and still nothings happens..
The phone is rooted but the problem was there before. Anyone that have experienced the same with loud volume?
Maybe it is a a2dp problem?
/tsk
I have a problem that I do not know if it is Rom related or not. I am using Midnight Journal on and after a few hours my ringer and notification volume gets very very low. I never had this issue before Voodoo Sound and did not know if anyone else is having this issue. If I reboot the phone the volume returns to normal. I also use a2dp bluethooth so I am not sure it is causing the speaker to not work normal when I turn Bluethooth off. Any Ideas?

I am not seeing this on my phone; I am using journaling off though.
Nor do I use Bluetooth.
I'm having a similar issue. After a while my ringtones and notifications won't play (or are so very low I cannot hear them), I must mention though that this only happens with ones I have downloaded. I've also noticed at the same time this happens, I cannot stream any media (video or sound). A reboot of my phone also fixes this. I'm currently running Midnight v5.0 but I've also had this happen on SyndicateROM Frozen.
My problem seems to be when I am on bluethooth the sound will only come through the bluethooth device and not the phone. When I turn the BT off the sound is through the phone but very very low. I have to reboot to get the sound back. It may also be being caused when I am using the headphone jack in the car and after I unplug it. I will have to test this and see if this is the problem. I don't think the speaker is bad because after rebooting the sound is normal again.

What it actually does is misroute the audio through the phone speaker. It is damn annoying.
Currently using MIUI-XJ 1.12.30, there is no sound during calls unless I use the speaker phone. Adjusting the volume while calling shows that it's on headphone mode when the speaker phone is off, but no headphone icon is shown on the status bar. Plugging in a headphone during a call allows me to hear the dial tones and voice through the ear buds, but removing it during a call does not solve the issue; nothing can be heard from the phone again.
Music and everything else involving external speakers work properly.
Any light you guys could shed on this issue would be much appreciated.
I have exactly the same problem with MIUI_Au 1.12.30 on my HTC Desire. My symptoms are exactly as described and I've tried the same resolutions.
Upon reflashing other ROMs (CM7 and Sense) the problem continues to persist.
In the worst case scenario, it may be a broken internal earpiece. Does anyone know if flashing a different radio will have any effects on this issue?
My phone gets a low sound when connected to a headset or speaker, even at maximum volume, when I test another device, the sim is normal and loud, does anyone know how to solve?
What rom/version do you have?
I am having an issue where when attached to my Bluetooth in my car I can not adjust my in-call volume in my phone. It gets stuck at 50%. I can adjust media volume no problem when playing music and can adjust the in-call volume in other Bluetooth devices like my buds+ and galaxy watch.
Any ideas how to fix this? It results in either very quiet call volume or when the call ends the music is crazy loudly.
I have this same issue.
Me too
Don't suppose anyone has managed to resolve this yet? It's still happening with me with Android 11 update.
Disabled absolute volume?
Make sure volume limiter is not enabled.
Clear system cache.
Reset network settings.
I have the same problem on tcl 55p83 ( RT851)
bluetooth max volume is limited to 50%
Any help ?
I have the same issue.... Just figured it was normal to keep distortion or feedback at a minimal?? But, maybe it isn't?
