Hey.I have a huawei nova 2 plus with android 7.I have added lte/wcdma option to network mode using settings database editor but everytime I turn on cellular data, it changes automatically to lte/wcdma/gsm network mode and is really annoying.
How can I fix this?thanks for checking on this issue.

I want to set my network manually to a single one and have the phone auto-connect to it when it gets signal.
The manual network select works keeps coming up with a box asking me to select the network when I go in and out of range. I can't trust the auto setting because it keeps connecting to transmitters that are across the border (so roaming charges apply).
I did try using the Set Networks function of the network selection panel but the settings never save?! They just revert back to what they were before each time.
when i put network mode in auto,i want the phone to connect to 2g network first till data network is activated and then it should switch to 3g.is there any way to do this?
is there any way to give delay in auto mode?
what i have observed is,when the phone is in auto mode, some times it connects to 2g data network first then it switches to 3g.in this case ,i'm getting 3g data speeds with 2g data plan.for this purpose, every time i want the phone to connect to 2g network first till data network activates then switch to 3g.can we do this in ril source files?
thankz in advance
Earlier today my phone was connected to Sprint's LTE network but no data seemed to be flowing to and from my phone. I really needed my work email to update so I used the Phone Info app to force my phone to jump on the 3G network, which worked just fine and my mail quickly updated. Now I'm trying to turn my phone back to "LTE/CDMA/EvDo" mode but the phone won't switch. Every time I switch from "CDMA only" to "LTE/CDMA/EvDo" then leave the "Device information" screen the phone reverts back to "CDMA only". Has anyone run into this problem and if so, how were you able to fix it?

What about going into settings > more settings > mobile networks > network mode and changing it there. (you'll have to restart)
I've found those toggle apps aren't always reliable.

Well now I feel dumb because that had totally slipped my mind. That worked like a charm. Thanks for the help!
Hey everyone,
I noticed in my Better Battery Stats that I have alot of com.android.phone alarms, more specifically "com.android.internal.telephony.gprs-data-stall". In about 8 hours of use its normal for the number of these to be around the 150 range. (The pics I attached have a low number of alarms at the moment as the phone has only been unplugged for 36 mins)
Now when I check Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode, I set to LTE/CDMA, though sometimes after a reboot it switches to CDMA/EvDo auto.
Also, using the app Phone Info (Alternatively dialing *#*#4636#*#*) and going to Phone Information, my Set Preferred Network Type is GSM/CMDA auto (PRL). Again, changing this to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL) works but will change back to GSM/CMDA auto (PRL) after a reboot.
I'm not sure if the data-stall alarm is because of these network settings or not or if they are normal for the android OS. Its worth mentioning that I do not have any cdma/lte network disconnects or delayed handoffs etc. My connections work as they should and my phone sleeps as it should (I think).
I have a toro nexus running AOKP mr build 1. Perhaps I accidently flashed the wrong AOKP version? Which I HIGHLY doubt.
Maybe others using toro AOKP 4.2.1 can chime in on their settings. I attached some pictures for all to see.
Updated recently to MTC19T (stock OTA) and Enhanced LTE mode / HD voice option disappeared in settings. Any fix? Is this a mistake by Google or an intentional change?
Is it immoral to bump this? Please don't hesitate to strike me down.
Really no one has any info on Enhanced LTE being gone from cellular network settings?
Ok, I've found that dialing *#*#4636#*#* gives a phone menu where the enhanced LTE mode setting can be toggled on/off. It's on for me currently and I am unable to toggle it off. Clicking the button to do so has no effect. Any suggestions?
