I am finding that if I leave network set to auto I get frequent signal dropouts if you are on a call and the signal switches back and forth between 3G and GPRS as you move around.
One solution is to leave the phone on GSM mode but then it's a hassle to switch to auto each time I want a 3G data session.
Anyone else finding this problem?
I have been trying to get the data connection to work, when I am in a 2G coverage area, however I didn't have any luck.
3G works ok, but as soon as it goes on the GSM as apposed to WCDMA setting, none of the online options are available.
Do I have to set another access point on the phone to get data when I only have GSM (2G) coverage?
Hmmm, for some strange reason, yesterday while at work, I couldn't connect to T-mobile's 2G data network (GPRS)... Yesterday evening it shutdown by itself (empty battery) and after I restarted it, I have 2G data connection... very slow but it is there...
I wonder what may have been the problem. Any thoughts?
I am having issues connecting to mobile data when I switch from 2G to 3G (WCDMA). I can be connected to data via Edge or GPRS on 2G and when I switch to 3G data drops (as expected) while the phone reconnects using 3G but data wont reconnect until I power off and back on again ?
Before you ask, I switch to 2G while at home because the 3G signal is bad and the phone doesnt seem to want to switch down to 2G by itself when there is a really weak 3G signal.
Anyone else have these issues or even better any solutions ?
cheers,
Seedar.
