I bought Honor 7x yesterday and it came with build number BND-L31C185B130 (I am from Pakistan). Now I have some questions about it
Does it have Oreo Beta Update ?? (If yes I want the link)
Can anyone knows which region's cust version is C185 ??
Does it have any support page ??
If anyone of you knows the answer to this please tell me. I would be very thankful

Why there is no IMEI number in your device?
Here are the answers for your questions.
1) Currently in India and Europe Android Oreo beta testing is going on.
2) The model BND-L31 is released in US. I wonder how did you get it in Pakistan. Because of this you may not be able to get any OTA updates.
3) There is a community website for Honor 7X - https://club.hihonor.com/in/honor-7x.315
This is Indian website. May be there will be a website for your country also. Otherwise you can ask questions in the Indian community and members will help you for sure.

It is to inform all customers in Pakistan ،not to buy honor products in this region. No software updation support is available. Even the mother organization doesn't support honor products for this country.

I hate to be that person but telling people not to buy certain phones in XDA forums is like telling people, with food poisoning, at a hospital, not to eat at a restaurant that they just came to the hospital from.
Sorry but I am just salty that I bought this phone.

Does anyone have any idea when honor is going to release the oreo update? And will there be custom oreo roms for the honor 8 pro(DUK-L09) before that?
Maybe end of 2017
My guess will be the following, it may get it in late 2017/early 2018
Custom ROMs?! Definitely before the official

It would be AWESOME if users added which firmware variant and region the firmware was for in the title. WAY too many difference with firmwares to make the titles "April firmware update" "April fastboot firmware" "April ______ _______".
Seriously, too many users end up flashing the wrong firmware because of the lack of information in the title.

Not trying to be the elephant in the room, but this device has had more wrong and premature flashing of "roms, kernels, stock" than any device I've been associated with since owning a smartphone. I finally joined this site because there was so much wrong info. I suspect a lot of this can be chalked up to people being careless
because of the entry level price the phones sells for. It is easy to be flippant with a cheap phone that one you spend a months a wages for.
Is there any info about 92-10 retla image? That would be good to relock the bootloader on my phone.
EDIT: This works for relocking the bootloader on XT1681, 92-10 retla!

Moto doesn't release ANY firmwares, except for "developer" or "Pure" variants, and those are old versions (but that is a different story). The ones we do see are leaks from employees, authorized repair centers, etc. in which people literally put their jobs on the line to get them out.
Moto has little love for the developer community anymore, but they have (had) a strong presence in it since since pre-Google days, but Lenovo hates it. Honestly, if Lenovo wouldn't get a huge backlash they would just stop allowing bootloaders to be unlocked at all. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens in the next couple years anyway.
Otherwise, Moto thinks you don't need a firmware image at all. If there is a problem, take it to a service center (or send it in in many countries, as "service centers" don't exist in a lot places, like the US or EU) and get it fixed. Out of warranty, no problem... just buy a shiny new Moto.
I'm stuck on the March update and can't take the April OTA. Sucks. Maybe time to move to a custom ROM rather than stock. Are any images available for US--EU?

I gave up and flashed Pixel Experience. I have no idea how it happened but my internal storage got wiped. Lesson learned, always back up your stuff to a laptop.
In any case, I've mostly recovered everything and Oreo 8.1 on this thing is pretty great. Also the camera seems to work a lot better with the camera2 api enabled. Overall not a ton of difference from Nougat though.
Hi all,
I tried to make my mind regarding the HW differences between the two models (Indian and International) but I am still confused.
This is for clarity, the main question I have is the following:
What is preventing modding of the international version?
- International model is still pretty new and no modder is on it (yet)
- Kernel source is not released yet and being different from the indian model, we need to wait for that
- Not enough interest for this model
- Other (that I don't know of)
Thanks to whoever will help clarify this.

Unlocking and rooting should be the same for all xiaomi models, I'm not sure, maybe exceptions exist.
For the recoveries I can tell that TWRP for example does not support all/any Android 10 models yet except for a few, as far as I know.
For deeper knowledge you should look at the appropriate websites of the recoveries and here on XDA forums...

boot loop and have to flash back to an official rom
Could someone please explain if it was ever possible to switch to firmwares from other regions.
As MitchDeathKills says, flashing Indian onto an International model would cause a bootloop. However, some posts suggest that flashing International onto Chinese is possible (as means of getting official support for Google Play Services)
Is there a definitive guide for this?
I have a 9s (International), and I can flash the indian rom without problems.

Since the European 9s model is precisely the Indian 9 Pro model, just look at the charging speed and no NFC for example. On the Pixel Experience download page, they are also signed as the same model.
