Another not turning on problem - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
Because I will travel soon I decided to use my old HTC One m8 as an additional phone. I didn't use m8 for over 2 years now so when I started to play an update came up and obviously I followed the update. After that, I wasn't able to turn the phone on. It is stuck on white HTC logo screen. I am able to access bootloader but factory reset or recovery doesn't help. The phone is not rooted, I do not have any recovery tools installed or anything.
I checked a lot of threads on the forum and didn't find the answer. most of the times people were saying to access bootloader and do recovery/factory reset, but it doesn't help.

Not really a lot of options to recover a stock device, if no RUU is available from HTC for your version (which would normally be the tool for an stock device). And not RUU for your version AFAIK.
In that case, the way forward would be to restore a stock TWRP backup (6.13.206.5); which is a rather complicated process if you aren't familiar with modifying the phone. You will need to unlock the bootloader, install custom recovery TWRP, and restore the stock TWRP backup from the collection:

Let us know if that is something you are willing to do. If so, we can give more details on unlocking the bootloader (which is mandatory before you can follow the guide linked above).

Can't find full kernel version for rooting

Hey I apologize if this is a stupid question, what with the video, and this thread and all which is also giving advice but.... It doesn't seem to apply to me since I have a different model phone. >.>
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383050
So here goes, when I'm trying to find my kernel version all I get is 2.6.35.11, with no other information whatsoever. I reset it to factory settings (I bought it used off of ebay) to see if that may help and there was no such luck. So I took the liberty of taking a screenshot hoping that would you might be able to help me This is only my second android device (my first was a g1 that I rooted back when texts entered information into the terminal) so be gentle.

Now I'm not sure what to do at the moment, but any help would be awesome. I would really like to root my phone so I can get all this garbage software off of it. Thanks guys!
Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, you are running 2.3.5 as your android version, you can use SuperOneClick to root it ...
Or you can Use Odin to flash a custom recovery , and root it ...
and then you can install whatever custom ROM you want as long as it is compatible with your phone ...

I was going to try and link you to the method I found but I found something on AndroidNZ that I thought would work. I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid thread, I'll try the things you guys just mentioned.

Their are more than a few ways to root ZF2.. I chose this method after a few failed attempts with some others..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/root-newbie-root-instructions-zenfone-2-t3114063
It is important to know that in order to use root properly, as I found out the hard way, an unlocked bootloader is a must before trying to add a recovery or rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/congrats-to-bootlocker-unlocked-t3138547
The reason I say this is because I took the first update and then rooted.. This was bad.. Almost every attempt to unlock bootloader afterward failed.. Couldn't update. Couldn't factory rest. So what was I to do? Luckily this wasn't my first rodeo.. After hours of xda searching and kicking my own ass, I started to remember," hey I have a brain let,s look up Asus support for phones".. Sure enough in black and white I was saved.. Now mind you guys.. You will have to use adb or fastboot tools as almost all of these instructions require sideloading or fastbooting.. So as GP I downloaded all above updates and went through them all erasing one after the other once updated to conserve the 16gig version I'm using. So grab updates add to root of internal storage using PC and USB cable, pull from USB after downloading and Boom..Phone will auto recognize update hit install and your good..

Can i safely flash a custom rom on this?

I bought this phone as a used phone from a local market, as i love custom roms it'd be great if i can safely flash it on this device? I'm confused because i know Htc is the most complicated when it comes to rooting. Im Currently rooted with twrp installed on this phone. Just wanted to know if the supercid and everything is on point for me to flash any custom rom? Also im not interested in stock roms and the im also worried about losing cellular signals. Because i dont really know of this device was factory sim unlocked or not. Thanks in advance.

Update: i safely managed to flash Insert Coin nougat custom rom on this device. I took the chances and got successful.
Gonna leave the thread in case somebody else gets in the same situation.
Please read the ReadMe thread for finding out why you shouldn't use the SCID on this phone and why you need to be careful with flashing RUUs (hint: you own a CDMA device). In addition, I'd recommend you getting back to a stock state and installing all available OTAs before you flash a custom rom. The needed guides and files should be available in the ReadMe thread, as well.

I Re-unlocked. and i tried to boot my firmware. I got replay like this image. Please help me.
i tried this firmware : RUU_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_4.20.531.4_Radio_1.23.213311491.05G_20.57.4198.02_F_release_420431_signed_2.exe
Image Details.....
Thank you
The pictures don't show. Typing out the error message will work just as well.
Also, we need more info about the device. Do fastboot getvar all, and post the results. Delete IMEI and serial number before posting.
Also, need to know what you were doing when this happened, and what you were trying to accomplish. The OS number being blank on bootloader screen is usually due to using a very old, outdated version TWRP; or some custom ROMs will also make OS number blank.

HTC 10 Rollback to stock ROM issue can't load any RUU/OTA

Hi Guys,
Need some expert assistance.. I tried to root my HTC 10 because of some reason that my battery life issue after the O8 update. My phone will turn-off even my battery charge is still 20% to 30% then I will recharge it. I want to use again the original HTC stock Nougat ROM.
Now. I rooted my phone and unlocked bootloader and I use TWRP. I backup my system/image and copy my backup to my OTG-USB. Then, I wiped all Dalvik, system, cache and data and tried to use Leedroid. But, when I checked my custom rom my telecom provider didn't recognize I guess its not compatible with my provider and now I want to go back to original HTC 10 Nougat 7.0 stock rom.
I can't load/flash any RUU exe or OTA because there's already an error something like related to S-ON or what. I tried to set my S-ON to S-OFF using sunshine-latest.apk but it say's my rom already modified.
I hope someone can teach my what ROM/OTA/RUU that i will use and how to flash OTA/RUU file because there's always an error.
I will attached some images of my phone.. (can't attached link of my images)
