Is this an MTCB/MTCD,PX3/PX5, compatible with roms here? - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Hey guys,
Rather new to the Android Auto scene and having a hard time figuring out the different options I have for my 2004 GX470.
I'm leaning towards this model: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/And...e7e5-438d-925c-4a37f5b0e785&priceBeautifyAB=0
Seems to be a PX5, but I'm confused about MTCB/MTCD and whether I'd be able to use roms found in this section. Any help or alternate suggestions appreciated.

HELP fixing problem/downgrading rom!

Hi guys.
I recently decided to mess around with my first android device so i updated the standard vodafone uk rom i had pre-installed (RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28 U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe) to the generic (RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe)
Since the upgrade my mobile internet has stopped working. it doesnt even show the H or E icon when data is being used.
CAN ANYONE HELP?!?!
If not then how can i back date the rom to the vodafone version? using the usual method gives me an error (140 (- i think) saying it is an older version.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Ady
Have you checked your APN's?
Hi Rolf
I thought reasonably highly of myself when it came to phones in general yet i was baffled by this! I have now been brought back down to earth due to my ignorance and your astounding logic! All sorted now. Thanks a lot for your help!

Lol no bother. It's often the simple things that are overlooked.
Glad you got it sorted.

[Q] Q: Is it possible to multi boot with the Xperia Arc?

Hi guys,
For my work (I work as a web developer) we are currently looking into buying some android devices for testing purposes. One of my friends has a Xperia Arc laying around, and I'm trying to find out wether it's at all possible to multiboot into different ROMS with this device. I can't seem to find anything related around here, but it's been a while since I was into Android ROMs and was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction
Thanks in advance, and kind regards,
Gerben van Dijk

Please do not shoot me

Hey guys,
First of all let me thank you for taking the time to read my question. I tried to prevent this post but as I really don`t like bricking my unit I felt like I had to confirm my suspicions, couldn`t confirm this myself as the search button has not been proven to be my friend
I have a GS (Hot Audio) unit 800 * 480 RK3066 running on a rooted Android 4.4.2 at the moment and wanted to upgrade this to 4.4.4 however since my last visit to this wonderful forum a lot a changed and given me a case of information overload. Therefor I have the following questions.
- It is not mandatory to include the MCU.img in the update package
- Otherwise I can take one of these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3246370 (Top 4)
- I can use any update.img as long as the resolution and chip number is correct. In other words there is no need anymore to look at the model KLD/GS/KGL (This one for example: http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/KK 4.4.4 Dual core Coudu Rooted /KLD/800x480/)
If you would be able to relieve me of these doubts I would be very grateful.
Thank you all again :good:
No one will shoot you. Ignore the grumps.
You are correct on all three points as long as you are sure of your head unit's make/details which sounds like you are. I know you used it for an example but in your third point you linked to Coudu's ROMs which are way outdated, stick to Malaysk's as they are superb.
Just be aware that there might be some settings (thinking of the configurable sleep timer delay) in newer ROMs that require an updated MCU so something like that won't work if your MCU is too old. But I don't know how applicable this is to you as I don't know what MCU revision you have for your GS. You can always update your MCU at a later time by itself if need be, no biggie.
Well a small update I just finished the install and to be honest I wished I would have done it much, much earlier Malasyk has done some incredible work
Thx again for your help again :good:

Question Help Back To android 11

Hello everyone, I upgraded a moto g30 to android 12 (stock) and the colors of the images look really different. I compare the images taken with the g30 on a g7 and they look good in the g7, that is, it is not the camera. Also the g30 was looking good with android 11.
The problem lies in how the colors are presented to the screen. It looks like with to much detail, with stains in the skin of people, that i do not see in real life.
In addition, old photos that I had looking good in the g30, now look bad.
I tried in Display settings to change from Natural to Saturated, From Cold to Warm, and is still bad.
For example in the g7 device with android 10 (stock), i have the option to use boosted. but i don't have that option in the g30.
tbh i'm noob. But i think is some post processing shader built-in in andoird 12 and i don't have a clue on how to fix this.
Does anyone else experimented this issue? do you know any way to fix it?
If i don't find a solution please point me to how to downgrade to android 11 stock.
Thanks in advance.
You can try a fix some of us have found, but it may not work:
1. Download the "Set Edit" app on playstore
2. Open it and find the "display_color_mode" option
3. Edit it to "1"
4. Close app and reboot
Tell us if that changed anything.
If it doesn't work you can try rooting and using a color management app
Hi Kuntitled, thanks for your answer. That was actually helpful, i do not see a great difference but it is somehow better.
I didn't root it, and i wont do it, because i have apps that wont work with the phone rooted.
Do you have something more to try? again thanks!
