Check your Tv and see if you got a ratio setting and try changing it. And make sure your phone can dock. So when you plug it in you can put it in landscape
I have a seiki SE39UA01UK it says it supports 4k at 30hz
Does the new Ftv2 4k work with this TV thanks.
And is there a way to make the Ftv gen 1 to output 4k?
Or have any suggestions for a raspberry pi that would work with my TV
Thanks

-No, our tvs do not support HDCP 2.2. Amazon Video or Netflix won't stream in 4k.
-No.
-I'm not familiar with PI set ups so I can't answer that question.

Is there a way to change the Pixel Ratio of video playback across the board, on the Fire TV Stick 2 through an ADB command?
It seems like 480p mode doesn't exist in the Fire TV Stick 2 after a recent update, it won't even show up in the hidden display option, so 16:9 appears all squished up when using an HDMI to Composite Convert to a 27" CRT TV, the only way I can change the pixel ratio, is when I use Kodi, but i have to load Kodi every time when watching Twitch streams, in Kodi I adjust the pixel ratio to about 1:41 in order to letterbox the 16:9 twitch streams.
So if there is some command to adjust the pixel ratio via ADB, it would help in my situation, I just need to adjust the pixel ratio, so that 16:9 videos is displayed in letterbox format on a 4:3 TV.
The movies in Amazon Prime Video are not playing in full screen even though the resolution of the movies seems to be 1080p.
The TV Shows (1080p) are playing in full screen without any issues.
I've tried various settings on both the TV and Fire Stick, but nothing working out. The movies always start playing with black bars on the top & bottom even in best quality settings. TV shows occupy the whole screen. Pls help with this issue.
Device: Fire TV stick (India)
TV: Sony Bravia Smart LED TV
PS: The same issue is applicable even while watching the content on a Smartphone, PC, etc.
Its all about the aspect ratio u cant do any thing much about it.in general all tv shows are in 16.:9 ratio same as your tv screen ratio i guess .but now days movie are shot in 2.39:1 ratio that is why u got black bars up and down in movies.
Hi there!
I have a Fire TV Stick 4K with an debloated ROM running and hooked up to my older 4K TV.
It's a Sony 55XD85 with HDR10 signal support but I don't like how Netflix HDR looks on this TV.
Fire TV options do not work to get rid of HDR output and TV settings same (it's an ATV Generation 1 TV but global disable possibility is only available in ATV 2).
So do you know if it's possible to forbid (Netflix) HDR output Android-sided or is this not possible because of HDCP or similar?
I had a look in "/sys/class/graphics/fd0" but didn't see anything HDR related.
Thanks,
Nico
