So i did the G2 Battery mod (soldering the battery circuit from a Nexus 5X battery to a LG G2 Battery).
it was a clean job. no mess. phone booted fine, but it wont charge.
when i checked the battery in EX Kernel Manager, the battery temperature is "-17°C" and current is "-1 mA"
do you guys( and/or Guys In Real Life), know a way to fix this?
if you need any additional info. i'll gladly answer.
same thing i say to everyone who asks for help with a hardware mod. post pictures of your work. what you think looks like a good job may not be.

I finally got fed up with my battery on my EVO (lost its ability to hold charge for a long time) I went and bought a new one. My question is what is the correct way to break this new battery in so I get maximum battery life. I am still on my old battery and am hoping I can get an answer from someone. Thanks in advance.

I got it, never mind.
Just use it like any other battery, there is no special battery. They can only hold to a certain amount and stops. You just have to use the right kernel and see if your phone likes it. No other way I think. After you flash a Rom just wipe bat stats and calibrate it once it reaches 100%. Hope that helps.

Yep, no need to "break in" a lithium ion battery. Just charge it all the way the first time you use it.
I found this on another thread and thought it might be helpful, the battery stats posted with it were pretty phenomenal too......

All people experiencing bad battery life....after flashing a new ROM or kernel should follow these steps.
1. Charge battery to 100%
2. Unplug go in recovery and wipe battery stats.
3. Plug in and charge to 100% again
4. Unplug use and enjoy your device until it dies!
5. Plug it in charge to 100%....your battery is now calibrated.
6. REMEMBER after flashing a ROM or kernel it could take a few days for it to settle!
Do you know where the thanks button is?? If so please hit mine if I've helped you!
That's the key.....2 to 3 charging cycles, you can't make a determination untill after that period. And of course there will be some of you who still don't get great battery life with anthrax, but that's the way it is. Same as when someone's phone runs great on x kernel, but it sucks on mine. This a pic of my battery life on anthrax, its pretty good."
Hi every, I'll like to know some battery life tips because I think mine is to short at software level or maybe at hardware don't know yet. I've GNex 1.9.0 installed with Trinity kernel. I've also WiFi enabled, 3G enabled and PowerAmp running all the time but I notice my battery drains to fast. How I can fix this? Do I must re-calibrate the battery or something else? I'm totally lost on this topic so any help will be appreciated :good:
Yea I want this too

To recalibrate a lithium ion battery,
1) Discharge battery completely.
2) Charge battery completely.
Unfortunately, that's about it.
and there is no good extended battery case for the phone.
unless you want the current one which bulks up your phone 2x (i believe at 3800)
if only there was a morphie juice case for the gnex
Hello,
I posted this on reddit as well, but was hoping to get y'alls opinion as well. I've had my LGG3 since launch in the US (one week). Yesterday for some reason the battery just decided to not hold a charge. I get 3 hours in standby mode where before it was going much longer.
I have the T-Mobile, rooted with purple drake, running xposed with G3 Tweaks and Gravitybox. I bought the Quick Circle case so I could use the QI charger that I have for my nexus 5.
I'm not sure what could have caused the degredation of my battery life. Here is what my predicted battery life looks like after letting it fully discharge and then charge up to 100% (Attached a screenshot)
I installed a wakelock viewer and saw that the Carrier IQ was killing it, so I used titanium backup to freeze it. That still doesn't seem to help.
So do I have a bum battery? What would cause it to go bad after one week use?
Install better battery stats and post on that forum, someone will definitely help you out. I'm not that experienced but don't mind having a look.

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this sound is called this way or another. Basically, I'm trying out Tasker, and the only reason for that is to add a sound when the battery is full.
So, I have a question about it. Is it possible to find this sound on a non-rooted device using Tasker/some other software/some other way to get it, like somebody would share it with me here?
It would be nice to have some sound when the battery is charged, so you could know it for sure that the battery is fully charged. That way you wouldn't have to run and check for the battery charge level every 5 minutes - this is especially true when the battery is 95+%. Since overcharging isn't a good idea and LG (afaik) is the only manufacturer with the battery full sound, I want to be sure I won't overcharge it, which would mean that the battery will serve longer.
Thanks to anyone who provides instructions.
I know it's a dinosaur of a device but I've got it modded and it's a good phone and works great. Ok what happens is the battery charges and holds and lasts all day but the level indicator says 100% all the time until the phone shuts down. I've flashed stock firmware from 4.4.2 to 6.0 and 3 or 4 different custom ROMs and it is the same no matter what I do. I have seen it show different battery levels in booting up after flashing something or a situation like that but its a unstable reading because of the way it'll fluctuate. So I'm thinking it's a hardware issue. The phone works as it should with the exception of that. It has a original oem lg battery unknown if it's been replaced or it's got some kind of fault. It's basically my work phone my side chic to my Nexus 6 because the SD card storage holds my music so it would be nice to have that working so I know when it's going to die. Anybody else with this issue. Thanks in advance.
Was the battery ever changed? I think it May be related to battery

That I'm not sure of, it's a oem lg battery and it works good and lasts all day, actually surprisingly very good battery life that's what made me think it was internals because if I reboot into recovery and then back out out when it boots it'll say battery is is dead and shut back off, but I'll reboot again OR just plug it in for a sec it'll boot back up with 100% battery life. It never gives a accurate reading. Well I'll order a new battery off e.bay there only 7$ to 10$ for a original lg battery. It's a great phone for what it is with some mods it's fast as hell.
