Samsung Bluetooth Keyboard not configuring keys - Galaxy Note 10.1 Accessories

I have purchased a Samsung Bluetooth Keyboard for my Note 10.1 (N8010).
The keys aren`t giving out the correct symbols i.e. the @ symbol is on the Q but when i press shift Q nothing happens. To get the @ symbol i have to press shift 2.
I`ve tried playing around with the keyboard input languages with no luck.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I`m running 4.4.2
Thanks
Simon

Sprint Touch Pro 2 on screen keyboard - keys are mixed up

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2, running the stock 6.5 ROM.
For some reason, a few keys on the soft keyboard all of the sudden got switched around.
The A and Z keys are now on the top row, the Q key is now on the middle row, and the W key is now on the bottom row. And it looks like the "secondary" key on top is still in the right position - there's still a 1 on top of the A, a 2 on top of the Z, etc.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Is there some registry edit I can do to get things back to normal?
Thanks.
I was trying to change to the compact qwerty, and I noticed that the keyboard somehow got set to French.
Not sure why I didn't check that before (I forgot that setting was there).
Stupid me...
Thanks for the help!

[Q] Problems with bluetooth mini keyboard

Hello,
I've done with a bluetooth mini keyboard.
When connecting with my HTC Touch II have not had any problem, but I do not work, the second key functions. As much as I hold down the FN key not write the symbols, I think it must be some configuration or drivers. Anyone can help me?
Thanks
I have the same problem with my mini bluetooth keyboard. I think the funktion key is for pc and mac. But that seems strange. Will let you know if i solve this problem.
Edit: I downloaded a program from teksoft. This made most of the function keys wor. Too bad its a paid software, but you can download a trial and see if it works.

hi everyone,
i am to hoping create an exhaustive list of bluetooth mice for the galaxy note. it will help everyone looking for one, and i think it would make a wonderful device for remote desktop sessions.
if anyone can list any models they can confirm to work i would be greatly appreciative. also, please list any you have tested which do not work, as this will help narrow down the search.
thanks in advance.

So which is it? "Reportedly working" or "confirmed working"? It's one or the other but it can't be both.
it has been confirmed to work by a user over at phandroid.
so I guess we will take his word for it =]
Confirmed working (on AOKP) -
Apple Magic Mouse, complete with scrolling gesture.
magic trackpad works
The mouse on the Logitech DiNovo Edge is working as well.

Microsoft 5000
Reserved for later: when I get home I will test with my razer orochi (the thought never occurred to me to use it with my phone!) The only thing I want now is a mhl adapter so I can use it as a portable media storage medium which I can connect to my tv
Edit: it works flawlessly

So do we have a list of bluetooth mouses that cab be mapped to all android functions on the gnote?
I am looking for a cheap one (maybe from ebay) that can perform all the android functions.
This guy states that his dell mouse can do it all (except for the home key):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEb-DICYCgg
Left mouse button = single press and hold to do long press
Right mouse button = back function
Wheel scroll = scroll/swipe up and down
Wheel button = Menu
? = Home
Any standard bluetooth mouse should work.
ie as long as you don't need to install proprietary mouse mouse drivers to use it in Windows, it should work on Android.
In regards to the right mouse click mapping to the back button, I believe they changed that with ICS.
In GB, right click used to map to the back button, but in ICS it no longer does. I presume that change was to allow applications to support the right click function.
I have a Buffalo BT Laser mouse BSMLB01.
It also has a back and forward button for back and forward in a web browser in Windows.
The back button maps to the back button on ICS.
The forward button doesn't seem to do anything.
The touch pad on the Rii mini also works fine.
Thanks for the info.
Yeah i have connected one from work before, but it has no Menu button mapped.
It is so useful so have it, instead of pressing the Menu button on the phone.
At work - I tested a Logitech MX laser (M-RBA97) mouse and it only has the Back function mapped - not the Menu button. It has so many other buttons, but none are usable.
There must be a mouse out there that can do all, Menu, Back, and maybe even search.
Or maybe an app that can remap buttons on common bluetooth mouses.
I am also looking for a bluetooth keyboard too, and would also need the Menu, Back, Home functions.
Wouldn't it be really informative, if we had a sticky post that listed all known and tested bluetooth devices and their pros & cons, purchase price & place, etc. ?
Everyone can just edit or add their findings to keep it updated.
Logitech have an Android keyboard that has back, home and menu buttons.

I was looking more towards cheap/ebay ones around $20... the mouse and keyboard are not critical but would be nice to have...
Office shops sell same ones for $40+ so a bit too much.
I think if i get a bluetooth keyboard with the F1, F2, F3, etc. function keys, it will do it all..
ESC = back
Menu (on right of the Space key) = Menu
F2 or F3 is Home
I dont think this kb has been reviewed here yet.. the F keys are secondary so its going to be a pain to press 2 keys every time..

There seems to be 2 key layouts on ebay for the same model/design.
I have Toshiba Bluetooth mouse which was working in GB 2.3.6, but I updated to ICS 4.0.4 and the mouse can not be paired. When I try to pair the mouse it gives me a pop up that I should enter a PIN to pair the device, but the mouse never wanted a PIN in GB 2.3.6 and was working good. The stock pins 0000, 1234 are not working either.
Logitech MX5000 Revolution Working
Hello all,
Have just tried my Logitech MX5000 Revolution bluetooth mouse and paired (with code 0000 ) straight away with the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 running stock rooted rom fine.
All buttons seemed to respond OK and mouse pointer was working fine.
Cheers.
You mean the logitech mx5000 has a button for Menu? or just single press and back?
thanks

And i have an A4Tech mouse that used to work fully with my Note N7000 while i was using the stock GB ROM. But now when i have upgraded to Stock ICS (i have tried 3 ROMs), It aint working fully. It gets paired and left mouse button and scroll button function properly but the right button aint functioning as Back; it is performing the same function as of left button i.e., selection.
Anyone knows what could have happened?
Anyone with the same issue?

Thats exactly what im facing with ICS ROMs.
But whats the point in changing it? It seems more like a bug bcoz without back, its functionality is far too limited.
Cant there be a MOD for that?

android bluetooth keyboard doenst capitalize with shift key

The shift key on this Bluetooth keyboard doesnt do what its supposed to. I know that Android recognizes it because when i press it i get a small triangle under the cursor when im typing. Ive tried several IMEs and none fix it. Ive even manually mapped the shift key using USB/BT Joy Center. So Android sees it and doesnt use it. What gives. Also, Ive only tested it on this device which is a Toshiba Excite 7C running Android 4.2.2. Im using an iPad keyboard called ZAAGmate. Please any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I do have root permissions so altering the keylayout files is an option.
Are you sure it's just the Shift Key? I have a keyboard that does't recognize any key combinations (like Ctrl+C) which work with a USB keyboard.
My thread is here.
Not sure if this is your problem, but many cheap BT keyboards don't process two simultaneous key presses, like the ones mentioned. You can use Shift Lock to get a capitalized letter and others have a special key for Ctrl and Alt.
