Just got my Pixel 2 XL today. I've been scouring the internet for a leather clamshell (no wallets) style case with a single card slot on the back. I found one for my Pixel XL, but can't find anything for the Pixel 2 XL. The one option I have found is a custom case from an Italian group on Etsy, but I'd love to not spend almost $100. Just wondering if anyone has come across a cheaper option I've missed.

Hi,
I think it's likely I'm going to get a Milestone 2 when they are available, and wondered whether the things like cradles etc are compatible between the original Milestone/Droid and the Milestone 2/Droid 2?
I've seen a video where (I think) a Motorola employee said that the two are device compatible, but I've also seen a review and specs which state that the devices are slightly different sizes which makes me question that statement.
Any thoughts?

I know the Droid dock works with the Droid 2. The other stuff I can't speak on though.
The Droid holster from Verizon fits the Droid 2 just fine. You might be able to find some on clearance at authorized dealers now that the original Droid is starting to be phased out.

Car / home dock, holster, shell holster will work with D2 shell. That's all. (Except universals lol)... oh, and also the battery.

I can also confirm the original Droid multimedia dock and batteries fit the Droid 2 [Global].
One thing that didn't fit were screen protectors, as the new bezel is everso slightly different in dimension - but with the Gorilla Glass I've found you don't need to bother with a protective film anyway.

I got one for my Xiaomi and it's so wonderful! I am not a fan of flip cases especially without the sleep/wake feature.

I doubt you can get one like with the Xiaomi. The Z3C is too small, so a case like that would only be able to hold 1 card without blocking the rear camera & flash.
too bad i've been looking for this exact style of case...I had the incipio stash back for my iphone 5 and loved being able to stick my credit card debit and ID for going out. Now that I have this phone i forget my wallet constantly as I was super used to not having the lug it around haha.
You could also add a card holder to the back of your case like this:

Coming from an old Nexus 5x I has the Google Nexus fabric flip case. Was perfect for me.
I'm trying to find one for the Pixel 3 but it's impossible. Google no longer make a flip case, and all the 3rd party ones I can find are full wallet style cases which I don't want. Is this style out of fashion now?!
Also - if I end up with a wallet case, does anyone know if they auto shut lock/wake the phone when opening and closing the cover? I put my Pixel 3 in the old Nexus case but it doesn't seem to do it. Not sure if Pixels have the magnets for auto wake/lock for flip cases anymore?
Almost all Nexus and Pixel phones/tablet had that auto-lock magnet (like they almost all had a notification LED).
Yes, Pixel and Pixel 2 have the hall sensor (the magnet sensor that detects the cover over the screen). Guess what? Google removed it with Pixel 3 (like they did with the notification LED, laser autofocus and Trusted Faces).
So, I'm afraid. No auto-unlock when you open the cover.
And because of this, almost nobody would buy a cover. And because of this, good manufacturers won't product any flip-covers.
So yeah, you either get one of those crappy Chinese flimsy flip covers, or give up.
I cannot find any battery cases for Google Pixel 2! I can still find it for Pixel 2 XL on both ebay and Amazon and for newer pixels. I don't understand why this phone is not as loved. It needs a battery case even more desperately than 2 XL.
