Hi, I'm on Lineage 15.1 with Mitdthegapps and last week's build. The integrated Email client app doesen't have Exchange ActiveSync integrated any more. Is that an Oreo thing, LOS, or something else? Anyone else noticed that? Thanks for any response.

Hi Guys, I recently downloaded Kavanas Rom,
Everything works great but i cant sync with Exchange. Im using Tzones as my data plan And i am able to get on the web. When i try to sync I get this message
"The server could not be reached. This can be caused by temporary network conditions. Support Code:80072efd"
Has anybody experienced this before? anybody have a solution for this, I Did a search but couldnt find a solution any help guys is appreciated, Thanks

i dont have an exchange server to screw around with right now...but you can hit me up on yahoo or aim and i can try to give you a hand..all i have to offer is i have set up quite a few exchange servers and maybe you might be overlooking something or whatnot.

I'm currently having this problem now I have the 3VO Rom (which is great by the way!!) I can get my aol or yahoo email but I can't get the exchange server to work. Did anyone help you??
Hi. I am using the official SEA ROM update to 6.5 (ROM version: 1.86.707.4). And it's great in many ways. Yes, it uses more RAM but only 10% more and it is in general quite snappy. Only problem is that any of the e-mails I send aren't saved on the device nor on the server (at least on the yahoo account, I still have to check the gmail one properly but it seems they might be saved there).
Anybody else experiencing this? Anybody know why it is happening or how to fix it? Hope you can help and thanks in advance

Are you having problems with Exchange ActiveSync with Hotmail. The symptoms currently on the HTC One X is if you manually fire a sync with your Hotmail account it fails with a message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly".
On searching for a solution I've found this is a known problem. Microsoft is updating it's servers with a newer version of the protocol, and this is breaking ActiveSync with Hotmail on many devices.
Note that the update appears to be happening slowly across lots of servers, so depending on which server you hit it may work for a bit only then to stop working. At some time in the future it will never work.
It seems HTC need to update their client software.
If you are affected please add your details here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...637-90a3-b6f00e1e4500?page=1&tm=1341158876259 and also report it to HTC.
Hopefully this information will save someone spending a lot of time trying to remove and add back accounts etc.

I have this problem since 10 days. According to this post android 4.0.4 is not affected by this issue. So after the next update the problem should be solved.
I'm also experiencing the same issue, auto sync seems working but when i force it manually i get error message couldn't open connection to server.
I'm on cm9 mod on htc sensation and i have a hotmail.fr account, maybe related to PhilipL problems...

I'm running ViperX based on 4.0.4 and am still having this problem.

I had a similar problem with my work email, when i found out the problem was a new server i changed it in my settings on the phone, as soon as i clicked on sync it went into data reset and wiped everything. I got an email in work saying
The remote device wipe has completed successfully.
The remote device wipe you initiated from the Mobile Devices Options page on 6/28/2012 11:56:06 AM is complete.

Note: To sync with Microsoft Exchange, you must remove this device from the list in the Mobile Options page.
Otherwise, for security purposes, your device will continue to clear data if you try to sync again

I can confirm, Phil, that once Microsoft have completed their necessary recovery work, we will provide any necessary update to our phone's firmware, however not all phone models will require an update.
We do not have any further information about which phones would require an update or to a date for the release, but I would advise you to keep watching our news feeds, and social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, as any notification will posted released on these sites first.

Hey All,
I am finally back on CM after getting the HTC One , but I have a question that I have had ever since I got on CM back in the Thunderbolt days, and even on the SIII.
I have an exchange account setup for my work email and the server automatically redirects certain email into a predefined subfolder, ie:
Inbox
Project A
Project B
The problem I am having is that I only get notified if the email lands in the "Inbox", if it syncs to one of the subfolders there is no notification. Is there a setting I am overlooking to get this functionality to work? Or has anyone found a work around?

For those of you looking for a fix I think I might have found a solution. Looks like someone is working on getting this functionality merged into CM, however the code is still in review.
Edit: I found the APK works great on CM 10.2.

OK. So because gmail is not part of the basic mindTheGapps package used on Lineage I am trying to configure the lineage email app to get gmail. I have searched the web for hours and can't seem to find a combination that works incoming and outgoing. Does anyone have a clue what the working settings are?
I am using the LOS16 build.
Yes I know I can download the gmail app. Just trying something new.
