Hey ZTE Axon 7 proud owners,
Do y'all think we need another great case for our beloved ZTE Axon 7?
How about the new Dbrand Grip Case!
Wouldn't that be something amazing and different with the customizations/ non-slip option?
I think I would definitely love that and we deserve it!
If you feel the same way, please support this effort to bring another great addition to our ZTE Axon 7.

Don't know about how much you have used your phone but the condom case which came with my one sure has worn out and it has collected so much dust and grim it's simply yuck to look at, but i really like the idea of the dbrand grip because its rugged and seems to be very strong against impacts which the plastic case sure wasn't ahah, tones of bangs from small bumps, i just don't use it anymore and just use the camo dbrand skin to cover the worn gold finish.
New case on a soon to be 3 year old phone ? That's not gonna happen, especially from DBrand that added their custom skins on request but failed to sell them well as they weren't a good enough fit...
It would be sweet for the users that need one but the sales would never meet the production cost.
Edit : And i just realized this is an almost year old petition xD

Really? Can't find anything about a dbrand grip case for the Axon 7 except the petition of course...
The petition for the skin was successful back when the phone was rather new but that's it.

One of the reasons I purchased the OnePlus one was for the great idea of being able to change over the swapstyle cases. I was really interested in the bamboo and kevlar swapstyle cases. But after seeing today on the OnePlus forums oneplus employee Carl today stated that they have stopped making them and only have a few cases of what people can by.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/regarding-styleswap-covers.115575/
I don't know of about any one else but I feel abit let down as I was genuinely looking forward to getting some.
Yes. I was looking forward to using the bamboo style. Fingers crossed on a third party building the style swap covers.

You can get the at aliexpress I think. And Op are selling on the stock they got at the moment do try sending an email to them asking for 1.

Or bamboo https://dbrand.com/shop/oneplus-one
I don't really care about the bamboo but I would really like a different color backplate (the silk white one looks so nice). Are there any third parties that sell a replaceable backplate for the OnePlus One in different colors?
Personally I'm okay with them stopping production as long as this helps them ramp up production to sell their phone without invite systems.
Fair play for them coming out and saying this. Yes, it's annoying but better to leave them than release sub-par accessories

Just a shame as it was a nice touch for an accessory.
Yet another disappointement coming from that "Honest Company".
I was looking forward to buying the bamboo case. I guess I'll have to stay with my aliexpress case.

Has anyone ordered the bamboo swap cover from aliexpress ? it says 60 B days. idk if its worth it or not. I really want the bamboo cover and not the case. Also how are the dBrand skins ? I have the sandstone back
The back cases was a unique selling point for this device, but I don't think this will be the last we hear of it. I have a feeling they will introduce / announce something similar (backplate or customization) when they release the OnePlus Two.

One plus two so we gotta wait another long time then I doubt that will come until next year.
It was a unique selling point which they kind of ruined.
I just find it funny how they say 'NEVER SETTLE' but they ruined that now as guess what we gotta 'SHUT UP & SETTLE' LOL

If anyone is interested in signing a petition for Otterbox to make cases for 1+1 here it is:
http://www.change.org/p/otterbox-create-cases-for-oneplus-one
This is a great way to get together all 1+1 owners that would like to have accessories made by Otterbox for their phones. Chances are slim but it costs nothing.
Spread the word around your fellow 1+1 owners about this petition. The more the merrier
Edit: Forgot to mention that this is not my petition. OP can be found here:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/petition-to-make-otterbox-cases-for-the-opo-sign-here.118791/
bump!
Petition signed...
"Everyone should have an otterbox for their phone! Especially Oneplus One owners cause our phone is code named Bacon and people will be less likely to try and eat our phones if it has an otterbox on it!"
Sent from †®1gg3®§ bacon!
It's a shame only over 500,000 have been sold... Other wise it might be easier to get people to sign the petition.
Sent from †®1gg3®§ bacon!
It looks like there is no love for Otterbox cases here. Such a shame that as great as 1+1 is it won't have waterproof case.
Well I think the reason why is Otterbox is not a best in class product anymore. Many competitors have creeped out of the woodwork and stole their thunder. I think for most, Otterbox is way overkill, and this phone is already very large. Phones just don't need nearly as much protection as what the Defender provides, unless you are a construction worker or base jumper. Spending $50 to protect a device sold for $350? Too expensive. Id rather spend $10 and have a thinner profile, but some may disagree.
I'd put our Ultra case up against any of Otterboxs cases for drops under 4 feet, which is about the highest anyone would reasonably drop them anyways. They arent waterproof, but how important is that feature really? It's the phones that should be designed to be waterproof, not cases. Most people are not going to want a built in screen protector on their case. They look bad, and stuff gets trapped under them.
I can guarantee 100% Otterbox will not release a case for the OnePlus phones until you see OnePlus sold in USA retail stores. That is their bread and butter, brick and mortar.
Wish we could get the life proof cases.

I too prefer them over Otterbox. I tried to contact them over Twitter but so far no answer. So we have to stick together in Otterbox petition. My opinion is that 100k is impossible to reach but hope dies last.
@OneStepAhead
Otterbox is still on of few that makes waterproof cases. I think that for Android phones there are only Lifeproof and one more that I can't recall. There are people that need waterproof/dust proof case, including myself. I have S5 with Preserver series case. I upgraded it from S3 with OB Armor series case and I have to say that S5 with preserver is easier to handle with one hand. I've also had Lifeproof for my S3 and it was the best of them but it is not so easy to take the phone out of the case. So 1+1 with waterproof case with small profile like Lifeproof would still be usable, with OB Preserver maybe a little harder to operate.

Let me know if you get any answer. I would like to know what sales prediction would make them going into production. That 100k from Otterbox is unreachable. This one from RhinoShield is more down to earth limit.

Has anyone got the UAG Monarch case for the S8 Plus? Is it worthy of the price? Is the drop protection really that good? Any downsides? Thanks
personal reference.
Yes, It's worth it.
Very Premium looking without the bulk and over priced sticky plastic like other Brand "otter whatever b0x".
When you have it in your hand, make you feel like climb mountains or hike some trails. ^_~
Protection is real good, haven't tested myself, but I feel like it will stand up against my daily oops, but have not yet slipped.
I Have their other style case the "plasma series" for a while and them when through some beating and came out the winner.
Felt down a 6 flight of stairs like it didn't happen. dog chew on it and slid on some pebbles ground, case side with just some scuffs in the case. And this Monarch is, even more, protections, so I say Yes, drop test certified.
And "10 years warranty, what other cases have it? Not that anyone will ever need it, who uses a smartphone more than 10yrs, right.
Works with lots of case friendly GlassSP.
Downside,? to me, NON.
Because it's just what I expect my case to be like. Protection, looks, mini bulk.
But for most People who like to show off the beautiful backside of their Gorgeous phone. Then this is not the right case.
I think the time looking for cases are over for me.
UAG Monchach will be on every one of my phones.
I love it. I'm not about to test the drop protection, but I had a UAG case on my S4 and it served me quite well. Considering that a comparable otter box is 50 bucks, I felt like this was worth it.
I have had bad luck with this brand. Owned three for different tablets and all of them had faults. Not used on on a mobile though as for me they look just too industrial given the S8+ is such an elegant mobile I feel this case is just OTT. It will, or should, protect the mobile BUT many cases do and do so looking much more in line with the aesthetic of this beautiful looking mobile.
I totally accept its a preference and respect those that do use this brand. One last point they are truly hideously priced in Europe. The last UAG case I bought was for the Surface Pro 4. Cost me 70€! Developed a fault so went back for a full refund. I understand the case for the S8+ is 50€!
Ryland
You say industrial, I say rugged. I've always liked the look of these cases. Imo it turns an elegant phone into a rugged phone when needed. There aren't very phone cases that are this minimal but still leaves your phone feeling protected.
Thanks for the replies! Yes they are £50 in the UK which is about 59 euros. Everything is really expensive here, now. Just need to find the Monarch in stock now.
Ever since having phones that UAG didn't support I started using cases from Supcase and have never went back to UAG's overpriced cases. They literally use the same materials and the protection is equal, but at 1/5th the price and fast shipping through Amazon. I also think their cases look better IMO. Save your money and try out a Supcase and if you don't like it send it back.

I've got some protectors that will do the job for now. They are very thin and quite soft TPU, not the most protective but they can be trimmed if needed so are ok with cases :good:

Same here. After using UAG and Otter, the Supcase Unicorn Beetle is my goto now. I mean a 10yr warranty is great but whose going to have the same mobile in 10yrs? I tried the Spigen Tough Armor and it didnt feel like it held the phone well, and didnt give enough lift to the phone screen off my desktop to make me comfortable. The Supcase is well worth the price so far. Considering its $18 US, with the belt clip. Its survived 2 falls so far no damage :good:

For anyone who doesn't follow JerryRigEverything, he just made an announcement video for new limited edition skins coming from OnePlus called "Teardown" which show the internals of the phone so you don't need to remove the back but can still have the same effect. They show the OP7Pro too :
You can find them here :
https://dbrand.com/shop/limited-edition/teardown
Limited edition is only available for one week.
Already ordered mine, even though I literally have only had my current skin for a total of less then a week. Looks so cool.
Instabuy. Since I dropped mine last week and the back looks like a spiderweb now this skin will cover up the damage nicely
slickwraps brought back the glow in the dark love it

It is a flat printed image piece so it will never look real in close up because it lacks the 3D depth of the internal modules.
Also, would never support Dbrand with their grip case selling for 30USD lel
Maybe if they stop throwing tons of money on youtubers over and over again and just start pricing their products right.

just cannot decide between buying "grip case + teardown skin" or just buying a just a skin and transparent case? what is your recommendation? I don't want to make my phone too bulky. ( a thickness near plastic case included with the phone's box is ok for me)
and please show me a good transparent case for op7 pro. please recommend a good tampered glass if possible
Note: there is small chip on the downside of my phone which the plastic case( which was inside the box) can protect it very well. So I have to keep a case to protect the phone.
