In the tradition of the firmware threads by @vsriram92 ... here is the full initial update zip.
Honor 6X (US version) model: BLN-L24C567
Firmware: BLN-L24C567B110
Updated Link 2017-09-09 MEGA-FULL-OTA
Rollback Package from Android 7.0 to 6.0: MEGA-ROLLBACK
You can also download both from Huawei at hihonor.com in their support area.
Thanks @adomol, repository updated with appropriate credit.
Is this the Android 7 update from the 6.0.1 ????
No, this is the stock Marshmallow firmware that shipped with the 6X.
Can this be used to downgrade from Nougat to Marshmallow? Or will it brick? Just figured I'd ask before I try, I'm stuck in a bit of a jam right now, and no firmware I've tried will apply successfully (fails at 5%). So I figure that I might have better luck going back to the stock MM that the device came with.
Edit: It looks like the download link is invalid. Any mirrors?

@AnonVendetta
Thanks guys, but I was able to go back to MM yesterday, with the help of private messages from @adomol. It involved using a small rollback package and a large full package. The rollback went fine. I may or may not upgrade back up to Nougat, got some prep work to do and things to test. I've only had this device for a few days so I don't know the ins and outs of upgrading/downgrading firmware on Huawei. I'm more familiar with Samsung and Odin.

It is good that you downgraded to MM.
You'll get used to honor devices pretty quickly.
All the best

Does anyone have the OTA firmware for the Honor 6x LN-24? All the links I'm finding online are broken.
Q: what is the difference between RETASIA, RETIN and RETAIL versions of Firmwares for Moto Z Play. Which one is particularly for Indian Moto Z Play?
[Request]: Please somebody upload official stock Nougat 7.0 Firmware of Moto Z Play for Indian version (RETASIA/RETIN)? There is a 7.0 RETAIL firmware version for Moto Z Play https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/addison/official/RETAIL/XT1635-02_ADDISON_7.0_NPNS25.137-24-1-4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip but I doubt that it is not official for India. So please upload stock Nougat 7.0 for Indian version (RETIN/RETASIA) Moto Z Play.

Baseband is the important part of the Firmware. As you say that they have different basebands. So which baseband version (RETASIA or RETAIL) is for Indian Moto Z Play?
Nobody is telling the exact difference between RETASIA, RETIN and RETAIL versions of Firmwares for Moto Z Play.

But there is no RETIN firmware for Moto Z Play. There are only two types of version for Indian Moto Z Play i.e., RETASIA and RETAIL. As you said you have checked the RETASIA version but what about the RETAIL version firmware for Indian Moto Z Play?
And why are you talking about RETIN? Do you type RETIN mistakenly instead RETAIL? And If not then where you find it? I can not find it anywhere?

You will only find two firmwares RETAIL and RETASIA
I've tested both ...and works fine ...on both ROM you will get OTA update

Why my Moto Z Play become bit laggy after unlocking my bootloader? I am on stock Indian Nougat 7.0 ROM (latest updated March security patch) and have installed twrp recovery and Magisk Systemless root v12 without messing any system file/partition. Mobile seems little laggy/jerky sometimes in settings and apps. This problem was not before the unlocking bootloader and installing twrp recovery and Magisk systemless Root. I have also factory reset the mobile and also wipe the Dalvik cache, cache and Data through twrp recovery. But I didn't get any improvement then I reflash stock nougat rom. But the problem of laggyness/jerkyness still existed. What should I do? Any fix or any suggestion?
And please also tell me does most of the android phones get laggy after unlocking the bootloader or after installing the Root?

It's strange , I haven't faced any issues like yours on any ROM with SuperSU or magisk
Have tried flashing stock ROM with stock recovery ?
You can get from here [1]
I haven't tested 7 ( nougat ) from this link ...so i suggest you to flash 6 (mm) and get nougat through OTA

Q1. Yes I have installed the stock Nougat Rom (RETAIL version) with stock recovery but I still get laggy experince some times especially with jerky/laggy status bar and toggles.
Q2. And also please tell me that during installing stock nougat ROM, should I completely install all the files in zip like bootloader and modem files etc or just install system files, recovery, boot.img, without touching any modem files & bootloader?
Q3. Currently I am on stock nougat 7.0 Indian Rom, so please tell me 100% accurate safe method (adb commands) to install RETAIL nougat stock Rom.
(Please read all questions and give all answers step-by-step. And please give complete answers. Please, No short answers. I Will be very thankful to you for your help.)
Hey, Mate, I got lags on stock nougat even without root and twrp.
I really doubt that systemless root is to blame here, and definitely not TWRP, since there is no possible way it can affect system performance.

Ok when you go to home then give all answers to my questions. Thanks in advance. By the way, are you a software engineer?
So, as I understand. This phone works similarly in the way the Moto G did in the sense that the Firmware and the actual ROM are seperate?
firmware controlling things in the background and the ROM being front and center?
Theoretically speaking, I could run Lineage 14.1 with HTC MM Firmware AND Nougat firmware? (Obviously not at the same time)
Only reason I ask is I come from a G3 which requires TWRP and all roms to be "Bumped" so things are a bit different (No bootloader unlock)

If you read the LOS installation instructions you see that it support both MM and N. Supported firmware depends on the rom, though many roms will ask you during installation which firmware you're running and support both.

Nougat firmware could have more advanced radios for improved signal.
A caution: don't mix Marshmallow and Nougat firmware bits, such as aboot.
I did that and ruined a perfectly good Ten.

The Nougat update gave a performance boost.
And staying up to date with firmware is always a good idea. Google is releasing monthly security updates now.
Is there news about the Android Oreo Firmware Update for the Moto G5 (Cedric)?
Timeline or a fix date
We will get it or?

The only information available is what Motorola make public
That is this device will get oreo
No time line or anything other than the Motorola announcement that this device will get oreo is available
Dates for otas are never made available as they always change
No one at xda will be able to give you anymore information
Ok thanks for your answer

I'm a bit confused. Why does Motorola push OPP28.85-13 as an official update when newer version (OPP28.85-16) already exists? I've even heard about OPQ28.85-13 build somewhere on xda - that build should be the latest one right now.
Opp28.85-13 Oreo 8.1 arrived in Portugal. Device from amazon market.
Got OPP28.85-13 on my phone (Slovakia - reteu soft. channel, unlocked BL) today. However, I am scared of getting hardbrick using OTA, because my bootloader has been already updated to Oreo version (B8.31) by flashing another official Oreo releases (you can find them here, on xda).
In my case, is it safe to do the OTA update or should I rather wait for full fastboot image of OPP28.85-13?
EDIT: Full fastboot firmware (OPP28.85-13) download link: https://rsdsecure-cloud.motorola.co...ubsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip (approx. 1.4GB). File is geo-locked, German VPN is neccessary. I might recommend this free VPN add-on for Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hotspot-shield-vpn-free-p/nlbejmccbhkncgokjcmghpfloaajcffj.
I just found the ota update for NPPS25.137-93-14 build number https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ev...XAIiIQkY6EXDVg
just place the zip into the root directory, then go to moto update and enable storage permission finally go to check updates and just install
thats all

Nice....but I'm flashed to 998 to get root.
Would be nice to be able to run the 933 rom with root. I do know of the guide for getting the 933 modem running under 998 rom was waiting for pie before giving it a shot but I'll wait for someone to confirm it works with pie.

There are TWRP flashable zips for H933. You can have root on H933 firmware, just like you can have root on AT&T H931firmware, Verizon VS996 firmware, Sprint LS998 firmware.
You have to temporarily convert to US998, but if you really want you can use the TWRP-flashable zips.
It's just for H933, it's a little harder. You can't just flash straight from US998 to H933 TWRP flashable zip. There are steps in between.

wow....so yeah I clearly didn't look around. I saw the thread for installing a H993 modem and it had a lot of steps and at the time wasn't polished yet. I haven't been pay much attention to xda and that's more due to being pretty happy with the V30. Only thing that bugged me was the loss of VoLTE and WiFi calling but I got kind of used to it and didn't want to screw around too much. But would really love to get those features backs.
So once a TWRP flashable zip exists for the H933, I should be able to follow the steps to retain root and get on H933 firmware? I'll probably wait until Anxious magisk module is compatible with Pie. (Well I just went to that thread and saw its gone....that's unfortunate)
Thanks for the heads up ChazzMatt
