Trying to find stock firmware for KD-0234 HU - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

I have a Pumpkin KD-0234 and I've been trying to correct an odd issue for some time but I'm not really getting anywhere with Pumpkin's support. It all started in January when my google play services crashed. Did a bit of digging, found out which service it was and force stopped it. All was good until a few weeks ago when out of the blue my wifi would not connect to any network and I now have limited bluetooth connectivity. BT actually connects fine but not all functions work. For instance, when I'm playing music on my phone I can play\pause through my HU but FF and REW have no effect. My OB2 reader connects fine but torque cannot read anything from it.
All other functions are fine and I am certain it is all software related and so tried a factory restore only to find that it doesn't actually do a RESTORE (ie a full wipe and reset from scratch) but instead just wipes user settings and data. Many of the factory settings and element changes (ie LED colour setting) remained as I set them.
So, in contacting Pumpkin they did send me an update.zip file which did update my version but it still isn't a full factory reset that I'm looking for. Now...in trying to get the image.zip file they finally tell me that don't have it and can't help and they believe this is a main board problem. I'm not buying that answer and want to see what a full wipe and reinstall of the OS will do. But I can't do that without the image.zip file.
So...does anyone know where I can get the image.zip file or another way I can perform a full factory restore for my HU?

Upgraded to 5.1.1 now only see a Blank Screen - Music and volume works

Hi,
so I am kinda new to this and wanted to upgrade to 5.1.1 below is the initial information.
Its a Roadmaster AN-111 GMC (if it matters)
It was MTCB - KSP 2.86
upgraded to MTCB KSP 2.89(KSP_11-28-2016_1.99_dmcu.img)
Firmware was 4.4.4_11032016
I installed the KLD - 2.1.1 december update
now the system boots up but does not show any display, if i plug in a USB it starts to play songs. All hardware button BEEP when i click so does the buttons on steering. I
I can go into recovery but I continuously receive the no sd card - cant post a picture yet
any chance of recovery please?
Hello,
Are you sure the MCU upgrade you did was to KSP 2.89 ? The filename you gave says something else: KSP_11-28-2016_1.99_dmcu.img (notice the 1.99 in the filename).
That would mean you did a MCU downgrade. Try flashing the MCU back again (i have KSP mcu too, not sure which version, i may be able to help you).
Regarding 5.1.1 update, i have the same behavior. I do not see the "desktop" with all the icons, but i see toast messages, popups, the "preparing to shutdown" window, so, maybe display driver problem ?

Unit not connecting to mobile network on startup.

Hi,
This is my first post here, but I did search and couldn't find any relevant results, so here goes...
I recently installed a Zeepin DY7098 in my car. It seems to be a MTCD unit, as far as I can tell.
The details I managed to find are as follows:
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: SF3GR_M-26.3_cpeg_rk_r2p_bc2_20160629_111639
Kernel version: 3.14.0+ [email protected] #15 Wed Jun 21 20:17:52 CST 2017
Version: sofia3gr_car_64_userdebug_6.0.1 MMB29M eng.hct.20170705.123915 release-keys
MCU version: MTCD_LM_V2.55_1 Jun 23 2017 13:42:21
The unit has a built in 3G modem and a SIM card slot. I've bought data for the SIM card and installed it. I can enter settings and connect to the mobile network automatically, but I have to do it every time I start the unit. Fast boot is enabled, and it has constant power, so it only takes about five seconds to boot.
What can I do to get the 3G modem to connect to the default network on startup?
Thanks in advance!
/Fredrik
Edit: No replies, but no worries! I entered tha admin settings of the unit, changed the boot logo and when it made a full reboot, somehow the connection started working as intended.

Pls help! Installing software from scratch on MTCE Px3 2GB

Hi guys,
your help please! I have a Px3 2GB head unit with the following:
- MCU MTCE_KGL_V2.70_1
- Androd 7.1.2
I was trying to update to the latest Malaysk version 5 and somehow during installation an error message appeared and the unit is now unusable. When turned on only the initial screen (Navigation system) is visible and nothing else, so I can only switch it either off, or on and it stays on that screen. I have tried to install a new software through USB and microSD but nothing seems to work.
Do you know how I can install the software again so that I can use the unit?
Many thanks for your help!!

Problems with my Headunit - Bootloop

Hello,
I have very big problems with my car radio at the moment.
I bought this car radio.
Code:
amazon.de/gp/product/B07BFS29HZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
1st OS: Android-8.0
2. CPU: Rockchip PX5 ,Cortex-A53, Octa-Core
3. RAM: SAMSUNG DDR3 4G
4th Flash: 32GB
5th Radio: NXP 6686S
6. GPS: SIRF III
Seventh screen: Capacitive and multi-touch screen
8. video decoder: 1080P HW
9th WIFI: Built-in
10th DVR: USB camera (PC standard)
I have already successfully used the car radio until the car radio has restarted and is now hanging in a boot loop.
It is no longer possible to start the car radio.
Please see the following video:
Code:
photos.app.goo.gl/cbKFMqfr5HDhDTc87
I then tried to reset the car radio to the factory settings using the reset button, but that didn't work either.
It reboots again and again.
Then I found out how to get into the recovery mode.
I made them a picture with the messages
Code:
photos.app.goo.gl/56SphjLcg2a5bwQb8
Apparently he can't find a file to successfully boot the car radio.
I suspect that if I put a correct kupdate.zip file on an SD card and boot the radio, it could work again.
Unfortunately I don't know enough to find the right file or I don't want to risk a brick of my radio if I use the wrong file.
Can you please help me get the car radio up and running again?
Many thanks
Best regards
mandragora
