wanted to know and request if any developer is working on miui rom ports.
recently mi 6 with official stable oreo has been made available.
would if great if any one can port it or provide a guide to port it.

And yes, It's possible to port it but I don't have access to a PC with a Linux distro right now so I'm unable to do so.
Maybe you can suggest @OmarEinea to port it?

It's not that easy.
-First of all miui9 is almost out and developers prefer the latest android version(nougat).
-Secondly if they want to do it now they will be forced to use cm/los 13 because miui 8 android version is marshmallow and it will be harder for them as long as if they use those roms they will experience many errors.
//Also you need cm/los or something else with 6.0 because you HAVE to PATCH MIUI into the rom.

Hey everybody...miui 9 is officially out ..do u think developers will be able to get the camera prob fix now and port a fully working miui 9 rom to our device like miui8?? cuz to me miui is one of the best roms for our phone other than a pure stock android rom. Miui has alot of great features . Im really hoping a fully stable working miui 9 rom can be ported soon
MIUI projects are usually ported to one device from another.
For Z2 Plus, i think it is ported from Mi 5 usually by the Chinese Devs/porters.
You can ask the ones to do it as they have been doing it since a long time.
Maybe they'll do it, as i have seen some MIUI 9 beta builds on Chinese Forum..

I would like to transfer FlymeOS to my smartphone on my own (this is Readme Note 8T), can anyone share instructions on how to do this?
Here I saw the 2017 instructions for porting Flyme, but it didn't work for me.
I want to clarify that I am aware of the existence of unofficial Flyme ports for my smartphone, but to be honest, I don't really trust these developers, so I would like to port this firmware myself.
