Hello, i own a samsung galaxy s3 and it can barely game. I know i wouldn't expect much from this tablet, but you know my budget is a bit off.
So i was planning on buying a used samsung galaxy tab 3, rooting, modifying the kernels, putting custom rom, (basically making it fast).
Anybody experiencing lag issues or did u make most of the 1 gb ram available?
I was planning to play some hard games like: Rules of Survival, Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, or maybe some RPG games
the bottomline question is.
Can It game?

I know there are lots of threads asking other people what kind of phone they should get, but those threads are a little bit outdated.
With all the newer phones getting dual core processors, and bigger RAM sizes, and more internal storage, does it mean that the Xperia Play is getting outdated?
With almost all of these newer phones wouldn't it make Google just want to make Jellybean (which comes out in just a while), a "only dual-core" OS?
If I were to look into a phone - I am stuck between a few of them, but if I knew that the Xperia Play could at least survive another OS, then I would heavily consider it.
What's more worth it though: Xperia Play vs. Motorola Atrix 4G?
Or even more harder: Xperia Play vs. Samsung Galaxy S II.
I have a pretty flexible budget, but I want a phone that is unique and one that can play games. I need one that can be modded, and I see that the Xperia is in the headlines a lot about small things...... What are your guys' opinion?
How much support life does the Xperia Play have left?
I want to have hope in the xperia, but I don't want to be left high and dry.
If you want to play classic games on emulators it is the best phone because of the controls, but if what you want to play is moden games, you should get another phone, even GTA3 goes slow even on low detail on this phone, but i dont care, because what i use the most and it goes perfect is the emulators, world of goo and fifa 12.
Samsung Galaxy S2 can play GTA 3 Perfect, but you can only use the games and emulators with touch controls or a external gamepad, wich sucks.
Storage is not a problem, i got it with a 64gb microsd card.
I say get the Xperia Play unless if you want your hands covering half of the screen when playing games.
Is it on it's last end of life? I don't want to buy it - and then find out that the entire line of Xperia Play is dead?
It's getting more support- ICS and playstation suite are expected soon but it isn't getting too much support- you may be a bit underwhelmed cause of this after about a month. But leave it for someone who knows what they're on about to give you a better answer

I wanted to know if owners encountered problems with simple games (I'm not talking the high end graphic ones) with the Galaxy Y. A friend is interested in purchasing one.
I'm especially interested in Clouds & Sheep but also for other games. there is know info about this in the Market for minimum requirements.
Game play isn't quite difficult. It's pretty good for a phone with a price tag below 150 dollars. Though it certainly isn't one of the positives of the phone.
no problem at all, I just wanted to know if there are many games that limit the minimum resolution and therefore not work at all, even though the processor will handle them without a problem.
for example a simple game like I've mentioned.
Yes. The low resolution limits the choice of apps. But it supports most of the basic games. So there should'nt be a problem playing them, since you are only talking about the basic games.
There's always Chainfire 3D for HD and 3D games for the rooted users.
Well i'm thinking to buy a Galaxy Note 8 but can someone tell me how good is the compatibility with games? like Order and Chaos online, Need for Speed Most wanted, Asphalt 7 and hope 8 too etc... can someone tell me please? thanks!
if you've played with a note 2, you will get basically the same results here. just about plays every game you throw at it without a hitch
With the quad core processor and 2 gigs of ram it seems to hold up pretty good as a dedicated gaming tablet. What do you all think of the gaming potential of this little machine?

try ppsspp and play almost all your old psp games.so if it runs like a psp that's basically a portable gaming console...at least for me...even plays at higher resolutions....connect a joypad...but I try to keep gaming to a minimum...as in most lithium batteries, it will really push out the charge cycles and the battery is not replacable...still excellent bat life for me at least....
I think it's one of the best tablets on the market.

This! All Games i have are Smooth to play without laggs or something similar.
Games i tested:
GTA: San Andreas
GTA: Vice City
Ravensword2
NOVA 3
Order & Chaos
and a bunch of games like Final Fantasy (3 - 5), EKO online, Iruna Online, world of goo etc
All this Games are playable on the highest settings.
Its one of the higher spec tablets (if not the highest spec tablet in the "smaller" 7 to 8" form factor), so obviously its going to hold its own with games for some time to come.
Tablet is great, but the battery should be better.
galaxy note 3 not seen as a tablet on playstore?
So being the proud owner of samsung galaxy S3 I found my self jealous of my friend being able to play Magic the gathering duels of the planeswalkers 2014 on his samsung galaxy tab 7 everywhere i read that the game is only compatible in tablets and thought hey I can do the same so purchased the slightly larger screen and better spec Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet on craigslist brand new, quickly destroyed the box and jumped to the play store ready to get my beast on! And surprice surprice! "Your device is not compatible" irritating would be how I would describe my current status if some one can shed some light as of how to over come this aweful situation im not trying to illegally obtain the game I want to pay for it and play it be able to get addons and updates please help and thanks in advance.

I think you can unlock all apps/games in the app store (even those that are not compatible with your device) by installing xposed framework and the appropriate module using wanam xposed or xblast from the play store. Not 100% sure but worth a look unless someone else can shed some light or suggest something else.
Looking to get my son a used Android tablet off swappa for gaming and entertainment. Is this tablet still up to par for running the latest games without lag? He plays a lot of Pixel Gun 3D and Jurassic World at the moment. Thanks for any advice. Trying to keep my kids from stealing my NVidia Sheild K1...

I would recommend the LG GPAD 3 or GPAD X. Better specs and display. It will be better for gaming. No root or even unlocked bootloader though. I returned this tablet. It's a bit laggy and display is pretty low quality.

it is still good for games i play every new game no lag on custom rom ,needed new battery i would invest so much in another tablet just for games unless it`s ipad in fall
unless u have money for a 3gb ram tablet like samsung tab S3 ,your limitations will be the ram these days the games takes a lot of ram it`s 64bit cpu though besides that play store from 2018 will be 64 bit apps exclusive like ios so need minimum 3gb ram in future good luck
