Is there any tweak or app to instal to make it work? My opt is rooted and xposed is installed.
Thanks in advance!

after looking through many forums, it seems that the issue is that OnePlus has used a slightly different setup with a 2.0 usb type-c connector so it doesn't work with anything other than their first party connectors. I have tried to connect a kingston data traveler microduo 3c and it isn't recognised either
So the issue is a hardware problem i guess, only solution is to buy their usb type c to micro usb adapted and then plug OTG cable?
So there will be no software fix...
Where do we find this orignal convertor

It may be possible for them to provide an update that creates a workaround to the problem however that does not seem very likely, i guess we just have to wait and see

the original converter would be on the oneplus site or i have heard they are also available on Ali Express
So not in India yet i guess
Hmm... I have the original OTG cable from oneplus, 2 other OTG cable ( 1 is USB 2 and the other works both with USB2 and USB3 with power up mass storage) and none of them work for my OPT.... HOWEVER they work for my OPO.... fking oneplus....
Thank you for your responses.
Hope that android MM or CM will give a solution!
i asked the oneplus official, they said ONLY THEIR OTG adapter can work with OPT...
and what's worse, they are currently out of stock of this stupid adapter! They told me to visit offline shops. oh are you kidding?
well that sucks. I was planning to buy a OPT but decided not to. they decided to leave quick charge/turbo charge alone and made some modifications on their port so only their product would work. what about the countries where it's hard to ship a product. damn this is lame
I bought a third-party USB-C to Micro-USB adaptor from Amazon that works with Micro-USB OTG drives and my old Micro-USB OTG cable with a USB mouse & USB memory sticks.

Thanks for reply I'll try this method.
Anyway I bought an OTG adapter (uUSB) and an uUSB-TypeC adapter (Xiaomi) and it works! (seems the problem is type C otg are always 3.0 op2 does not support USB 3.0 standard)
Mmm tbh I only use my USB stick and that always seems to work okay. USB C is just future proofing got to wait for rest to catch up now.
Has anyone been able to get an external dac working properly on OPO 3? Does it work natively or using an app like USB Player Pro?
Also, is there any type c to micro usb otg cable y cable available anywhere?

I have a Topping NX2 that results in a "Error initializing USB system" on OxygenOS 3.2.5 with USB Player PRO, it worked flawlessly on my OPO with Sultan's ROM.

Hmm, it might be my cable that is not OTG, there is another guy on the Oneplus forums that has a iFi Audio iDSD nano dac working.

Ok, installed RessurectionMix BlackJubel stable and my dac is working now.

I haven't been able to get OTG working with an Xbox One controller (it seems to draw too much power as the phone just freezes then shutdowns). I've tried a bunch of cables - some restart some don't. The closest I've got is the controller vibrating every 10 seconds or so. Has anyone got a working Xbox One controller with this phone via OTG?

I've gotten a wireless Xbox 360 controller to work using a wireless receiver but I think directly plugging in a wired controller is just too much for the axon 7's port to handle

Anyone know how many amps the Axon 7's USB C port can output? Might give some insight as to why some OTG devices aren't working.
Bumping this. I have a Ps4 controller that was working fine with my OPO via USB OTG. I tried it with the Axon 7 via the same USB OTG cable, but with the USB-C adapter that came with the Axon 7.
The Ps4 controller lights up, but doesn't actually work.
Would be very disappointed if power draw is limiting this aspect of the phone.

I haven't gotten any OTG devices working with the USB-C to MicroUSB adapter (ps4 controller, 2.5" portable HDD, USB memory sticks). Perhaps this adapter is only for charging and not for data/OTG? Or perhaps the MicroUSB OTG cable I'm using is just incompatible with the adapter.
I've now ordered and am awaiting proper USB-C OTG cables.

Do update us if that helps.
Seems like YMMV with USB-OTG. there's a video of someone getting thumb drives to read with USB-OTG on YouTube. There's also someone on Reddit who got a 360 controller to work OTG also. Dunno if the latter used the adapter, though.
I decided to check if it would read my Tab S2, and sure enough, it was able to read the media content.
OK, I ordered a Belkin USB-C to USB-A adapter. Still no luck. Seems like the adapter might not have been the issue after all. As before, the Ps4 controller will light up, but won't respond.
From what I've read online, this Belkin cable has passed proper USB-C certifications, too.
EDIT - I tried a wired Xbox 360 controller, it works.
Still it's a bit of an inconvenience. The cord for the 360 controller is way too long. I specifically bought the Ps4 controller because I had a GCM10 controller mount from Sony. It holds the Axon 7 perfectly.
Also tried an Xbox One. As a previous user said, the phone simply shuts off when trying this.
Get my A2017G yesterday and non of my USB Stick work with the Axon as OTG
I use the orig. c -> microusb adapter with four different otg cables and 10 of different usb sticks (that all work fine with other otg phones with the same otg cables).
Then i use the Axon c adapter on my PC with USB C but same here, dont recognizes any stick.
Is the Axon C adapter only for charge? But i wonder that when i used the adapter with normal micro usb cable on pc, the phone was detected.
Any solution why otg want work on phone?

Have you try reboot? For me worked.

Yes, more then one times reboot with and without stick in but no luck
The included micro usb to usb c adapter/dongle seems to work for transferring files to the computer and charging. I tried the adapter with my old otg cable and it did not work with any usb flash drives that i have. However a usb c otg adapter from ebay works with all the drives fine.
USB OTG works but the Axon 7 is lacking drivers. I got a USB thumb drive to mount but there's no Ethernet support.

If people still want to use a Ps4 controller, you can try the Sixaxis Controller app on the app store. It costs $2.99. it connects the Dualshock 4 via BT, but there's no noticeable latency. I've been using it the past few days. One other good thing about this is that you can also charge the phone while using this method.
Can anyone point me to 3t compatible type-c OTG for using flash drive ? I'm in India!
Just search up "USB C OTG" on somewhere like Amazon? It's not like there's a special type specifically for the 3T.

this doesn't seem to be available in India,
any Indian op3t user suggest me a good OTG for our beast!
search for Parallel Universe OTG on amazon.in
Got it today, works well with my OP3T. plus its on discount. Cheers!!
I suggest get any generic MicroUSB OTG and USB C to MicroUSB Adapter. I confirm these working with my old OTG cable just fine and now I can use any MicroUSB cable for Charging, Data Transfer and OTG just fine.
Personally, I purchased the OTG cable directly from 1+ so that I could guarantee functionality.
You can buy it here: https://oneplus.net/oneplus-type-c-otg-cable
Hello Guys,
I wonder if there is some tricks to use our OnePlus 3T in the Samsung Gear VR ?
Maybe with some modification there is way to use it in it no ?
Thanks
Try removing the USB-C port on the OnePlus 3T and adding a USB-Micro port instead, then you will be able to use the GearVR.

Yep, the newest version which was supposed to be used with Note 7 had USB-C port.
I didn't know that. You can probably rip the software and libraries from an S7 or Note 7 and get it working then.
The 3T fits into the gear VR. Just tried it out but the problem is to get the software working ...

The Gear VR (2nd generation at least) had a micro USB and a USB-C adapter
That's probably not gonna work, your best bet is to get a more generic VR helm like the Bobo VR Z4 like I'm using. It's got an integrated navigation button and speakers with volume control.
