Hi Guys,
About 18 months back, I bought a Huawei G8 through Vodacom South Africa Everything on the phone indicated it was a Dual Sim, including the box and the plastic on the back. The SIM slot even has place for 2 SIMs.
But I found that Vodacom had disabled this function and no matter what firmware I try to flash, with bootloader unlocked, I can not get the dual sim function back.
Any ideas? I am not an advanced user but I am learning.
Thanks

I has bought an A5 2017 during my Italian trip, by Samsung, unlock by EEUU, usying an American's date chip. But when I returned to Brasil, my brasilian chip doesn't Works, asking about pik/ puk. How can I unlock my A5 here? Thanks for all
I am not sure I understand your post fully.
You bought an A5 in Italy?
Did you use it in Italy?
Did you use it with an Italian SIM?
Now you are in Brazil and are trying to use it with a Brazilian SIM?
When switching on the phone, it asks you to enter a PIN or PUK?
Overall, there are a few things to consider:
My A5 was region locked when I bought it. That means that you have to use the phone for a few minutes with a SIM of the region you bought it in. Afterwards, the lock is lifted and you can use it pretty much anywhere. If you used your phone with an Italian SIM for a while, that should be no issue.
When you switch on the phone, it will ask for PINs depending on your configuration. Broadly speaking, you can have a first SIM to unlock and decrypt your phone memory if it is encrypted, another PIN to unlock your SIM card if this is not disabled and possibly you have to enter your screen lock PIN at the end of the startup sequence. If your phone asks for PIN/PUK, it should be the PIN of the SIM card you are using. The PUK is a key to unlock a SIM if you have entered the wrong PIN several times. You should find these with the letter/card you originally got the SIM with. Make sure you use the PIN/PUK of the SIM card that is currently in your phone.
Hii to all
Now I have to say something for most users who have bought it
over some carrier on contract like I have done
I asked when I was buying K5 PLUS are all sim slots locked to the provider I bought from?
She checked it for me on paper and said, yes, the phone can only be used with the carrier
SIM cards only and that was for both slots...
Well I was lazy to check when I got home if she was right or wrong...sometimes they do
not have the right information
But today after QFIL and after i Installed the firmware with QFIL
I tried a different carrier sim card in the sim slot 2 and it works
Both cards works
Tested so far..
So, maybe a try for someone locked to some carrier..
Good luck with flashing and just do it exactly step by step all of
you should not have any issues
Hi Guys
So my phone started going all wonkey on me, I tried hard resets ect but some issues happen over and over. I contacted Hisense and asked where i can get the firmware but they showed me the middle finger.
I started googling and downloaded about 6 firmware versions and tried all of them, some only shows 1 sim, others show 2 sim but sim 2 is greyed out and not availible.
I need both sims. 1 is used for calls and other data..
Can anyone please help me get the firmware for Hisense KO C20 dual sim LTE ( 3gb rom and 32gb storage )
I have even tried needroms and not even theirs are right
Im in South-africa, but dont mind other roms aslong as i can enable english and dual sim use.
Thanks
Guys :good:
Hello,
what Version is this Note 10+ ? Is it Simlockfree Phone ?
SM-N975FZSDVD2
Thanks
It is an international exynos 1 sim model, tje model code is what you already wrote, or what exactly is what you want to know?
Its an German Vodafone 'brandet' Phone, branding is so far I know only a start apk by vodafone, it should be simlock free.
Open Germany Version shoukd be DBT in the last three characters
Yes, it is a simlock free german Vodafone Phone. There is only the Vodafone Start App on it.
I heard about activating the phone by doing a at least 10 minutes call with a local simcard.
Do i still have to do that before i put a non european sim card into the phone ?
We have a german Telekom and a USA t-mobile simcard.
Thanks
Yes, you need to use local sim card for around 10min and then you can put whatever other sim you need. Remember that if you have a dual sim then you need to activate both sim slots with the local sim card first

That unlock and repair cost me around $175
Thank you for the info. I also get another sim tray for my device but unfortunately it only has one imei even the firmware is marked as G990U1/DS. DS stands for dual sim but it is not working. Maybe my device does not have physical second sim slot

Could you refer me too? I'm trying to unlock my s21 fe from metro. Thanks.
You need a cpid service which is quite expensive. Like $200 can do carrier unlock and dual sim functionality too
