Samsung Note 10 Modelcode - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hello,
what Version is this Note 10+ ? Is it Simlockfree Phone ?
SM-N975FZSDVD2
Thanks

It is an international exynos 1 sim model, tje model code is what you already wrote, or what exactly is what you want to know?

Its an German Vodafone 'brandet' Phone, branding is so far I know only a start apk by vodafone, it should be simlock free.
Open Germany Version shoukd be DBT in the last three characters

Yes, it is a simlock free german Vodafone Phone. There is only the Vodafone Start App on it.
I heard about activating the phone by doing a at least 10 minutes call with a local simcard.
Do i still have to do that before i put a non european sim card into the phone ?
We have a german Telekom and a USA t-mobile simcard.
Thanks

Yes, you need to use local sim card for around 10min and then you can put whatever other sim you need. Remember that if you have a dual sim then you need to activate both sim slots with the local sim card first

[Q] Unlock Phone to Network (UK)

Hi
I bought my Galaxy Nexus from someone on ebay and I assumed it would have been an unlocked phone .. However after using it for 2 months, it was suddenly unable to access the network (Vodafone, UK).
After upgrading phone to 4.2.1 and changing SIM card, there was still no improvement. Then Vodafone informed me that my phone is "locked" to their network and I need an unlock code.
I have, since, purchased an Unlock code, but the device does NOT prompt me to enter an unlock code when the Vodafone SIM is inserted. The directions in the unlock procedure have been advised as below:
1.So... type *#7465625*638*
2.Then type YOUR UNLOCK CODE
3.Type #
4.Press ENTER or OK
I have no idea how to type a number in the dialpad and press "Enter" because the only option I have is to "dial" .. which leads me to a "no network" error.
At my wits end ... any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks !
If it's a Vodafone phone then a Vodafone SIM should just work - the SIM lock would only apply to non-Vodafone SIM cards...besides, all Galaxy Nexus' were SIM-free AFAIK

I don't know what network the phone was tied to earlier .. but I bought it and was using it with a Vodafone SIM. It's not a Vodafone phone per se .. and I was quite sure my phone was a SIM-free unlocked phone anyways.
But the tech support team at Vodafone say that the phone is locked to their network.

That's not true. I know there are some that are sim locked
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Please let me know if there is any way to unlock a mobile when it is NOT prompting for an unlock code when the new SIM is inserted.
thanks !

Phone sim-locked

My friend change his sim card to a different carrier. In my country there is no sim locked network so i did not get why it's get locked after changing sim. I use Samsung Phone Info app and found the phone has PAN csc code while my country is XME. Not sure whether the phone is for PAN but brought here instead or it has been flashed with PAN. But he said he bought it new.
Anybody has any idea how to get rid of the lock.?. He change to original sim but still cannot get it pass the code entering screen. The phone however can be used without a sim but that's obviously useless.
Could reflashing a firmware get rid the lock?. And can I flash XME firmware over it?. I'm not sure if the PAN is a branded or a country csc. Is it safe?.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

No service/SIM card not being registered

Hello.
I'm from Portugal and bought an HTC 10 wich is locked to T-Mobile.
Already got unlock code for it but i insert a portuguese network sim card and i never get the message to place the unlock code.
I checked the IMEI at T-Mobile website and it shows : Your device is blocked and will not work on T-Mobile’s network.
Already unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone, thought that would be enough to overcome the T-Mobile app ( wich is to unlock the phone for the network ).
Any tips or comments on how i can solve this issue and use the phone with another sim card?
Thanks in advance

question about rebranding or unbranding

hi had beena long time before owning a new samsung device
normally i remember i had to flash the u1 firmware
then insert the sim card i would like to get and flash the firmware
however i unlocked my note 10 plus
inserted the tmobile sim and got the same icon that we got while the crossflash
so i did one factory reset and the sprint apps were gone and booted the tmobile logo
my question is the next one
if i update the phone with the tmobile sim card inside ,the phone will continue as tmobile as long as i dont enter one sprint sim card?
or preferly i should do it like the old days, flash the open firmware, and then the tmobile version?

Enable eSIM SM-G981W?

I bought a Canadian variant Samsung Galaxy S20 (Snapdragon) yesterday, and knew that the SIM reader slot was faulty and needed to be replaced. I had assumed that I could just use eSIM, but didn't realize that the Canadian variants have it blocked.
Any advice on how to enable it? Can I maybe flash international firmware onto it to have the SIM card manager and enabling of eSIM, and if so, which one and how? Using Odin? Or a modified Odin? Do I need a working SIM reader?
Or maybe I change the CSC? If so, any instructions on how to do it with my variant?
Or do I need to root? If so, any instructions on how to unlock the bootloader (I don't have the OEM unlock option in Developer Options) if I am on One UI version 4.1? Or do I need to downgrade? If so, how do I downgrade?
I really don't want to have to tear this phone apart and resolder on a new SIM reader slot. It's a really great phone and the nicest one I've owned.
I'm not sure where to start.

SM-G981U1 XAA seems to be still on Android 12. I'll wait until 13 is ready before I attempt. What is "nr sa"? Thanks.

i will
I read that if the W model is flashed with the U1 firmware, Samsung Pay can no longer have Canadian credit cards added. Can someone verify? OneUI 5.1 is being tested on the S20. We can only hope Samsung enables eSIM for that release.
W model has 13 release now. Does it still not support esim?
I was on the U1 model Android 12 in Dec 2022 (With esim enabled) and updated to the W model Android 13 firmware figuring it should have esim enabled however it did not.
I used odin to switch to the Android 13 U1 firmware but it did not enable esim (I used the home_csc). I flashed the older U1 Android 12 firmware which did enable esim again but I had to factory reset the phone due to a boot loop.
After reseting and doing an OTA update to Android 13 the esim stayed enabled and I restored a backup using smart switch for my apps and settings.

So in summary, to get eSIM in A13 U1, first odin install A12 U1, and then OTA to A13? The A13 U1 was uploaded yesterday ( link ).

It may work if you use csc instead of home_csc which would reset the phone straight out. I used home_csc which kept my Canadian firmware settings and likely csc

Does Samsung Pay work with Canadian credit cards in your A13 U1? That's the only requirement holding me back from converting. Samsung Pay+Google Wallet cover 90% of the places I regularly shop at.

Ok guys so i bought Samsung Galaxy S22+ in Korea. I am from Europe. Reason why i bought phone in Korea was it was like 20% cheaper then in EU + it have Snapdragon instead Exynos.
But as i came back home i was in for a suprise, coz i tried to set up dual sim for the phone, but then i realized i cant do it. SIM card tray where u put physical SIM cards have only 1 SLOT, 2nd slot that was supposed to be on the back side is slighty modified so SIM card cant fit in, also there is no writing SIM2 like its written on fron (SIM1).
Also phone doesnt have support for eSIM, i cant open SIM manager or anything related to SIM cards in settings of my phone.
Dual SIM is important for me coz i use 1 SIM for SMS and phonecalls, its my number, and 2nd SIM is for internet. We are able to buy internet SIM here that have 60GB of data per month and its super cheap, like 7 EURO, so running dual SIM is super cheap version. If i buy internet via my regular phone providers where i can use phonecalls and SMS combined, it cost like 3x more.
SO yeah, i mean i could go for more expensive version and just have 1 SIM but its stupid coz 1 of reasons was i bought that phone is to run it DUAL SIM, i have also my old Huawei P30 pro working just fine, and now i feel dumb for buying another new phone that was meant to replace my old and its not working 100% correctly...
Can i modify my phone to make it work? Install EU version of Android or something? I would rly like to make it work, although even if i make it work i am not sure if my Internet/Phone service provider support eSIM so i swap this main physical sim with eSIM and then use internet one as physical. But ill deal with this later. I just wanna try enable eSIM first if its possible and have dual sim support in my settings.
Any help is very appreciated!
Best regards!
