Midnight fabric case? - Google Pixel 2 XL Accessories

I am looking to switch away from my Carved wood case, because as pretty as it is, the case has no buttons which is awful.
I decided id go with the fabric cases, but the Google store seems to be out of the midnight case for the 2XL...does anyone know somewhere else that carries them? BestBuy seems to only have black or gray.
Or even better yet, does anyone have one they are selling?

Only on Google site. I have one but I'm not sure if I'm willing to part with it

Surprisingly....Walmart. $35.49. Free 2 day shipping. Mine came UPS 2nd day air for free. Ships from and sold by Walmart so returns are super easy. Just got mine (cabon) this morning and *love* it.

I ordered one yesterday off Google Store site. Was in stock no issues for me

The Google Store does same day shipping where I live and I just got the midnight case. I like it, but it's definitely a bit brighter than I was expecting. I plan on quickly dipping the case in a weak bath of RIT black dye to tone it down. Can post pics if anyone is interested how it turns out. I previously purchased the Dual protection Art Live Case and it felt a little too bulky even though it has a very similar footprint. Fabric case feels fantastic in the hand but you can tell it's not a "super" protective case. Happy I got this!

Drying now!
---------- Post added at 06:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:23 PM ----------
Not completely dry but I basically threw my original plan to evenly dye it one color to tone it down out of the window and started playing around. I made the weak dye bath and submerged it halfway down for a short time and then held the end in for longer. About an inch down from the middle is the color I was going for but it's harder to see in the photos. It's just slightly darker and makes the overall look less "loud." I dunno what I'm going to do with it now, but I don't completely hate the faded thing that's going on with it.

Wow that looks nice, you ended up with the cement color and absolutely love it, not a case guy but these right here are where it is at.

I bought one from Amazon and it's "okay" to say the least i much prefer the one i got directly from T-mobile. but they are nice. but i work in the Automotive industry so i need something that i can put down on a tool box or a stainless steel top and not worry about it scratching up my battery door.
i guess it's like Epik for Blackberries.

I have the hard plastic case with the kickstand made on the back. I know they are expensive but i have a 14mth old daughter and it helps to keep her quite when we go out. put on Sponge Bob or similar put the phone out of reach and she is a quite as a church mouse.
i'm gonna pop for it. at 5 bucks flat its probably the best deal for the TPU style cases. since TPU i think requires like 4 dollar shipping so it comes out to like around 10 bucks. and i do like the 2 tone flat with gloss cause the flat parts are for grip.
This case is a must order...the pictures do not give it justice..i will post video in a little bit...

so far its pretty good. the styling is pretty god and the sides are dimpled gripping. the rear is flat black which makes it have a contrasted look with the flat and gloss. the power button is a bit hard to press but its not too ridiculous. though the one thing is normally when you plugged in your usb to charge you always got a noticeable click like it was fully setting into place. now because of the case you kinda have to jam it into the opening so it stays cause the case adds about 1-2 mm of fatness. most likely its cause of the size of the usb head. other than that i'm very pleased. comes from Pasadena, CA so if your in socal it'll come to you with-in a day. and for 5.10$ shipped you cant really get anything better.

Skinomi carbon: some photos

HI guys.
I took some photos of my GN with Skinomi carbon skin.
Does it make it more grippy? I got a case because the phone always felt like it was going to slip out of my hands, but I when the desktop and car docks come out I am probably going to want them, so a case is a no go. I've had full body skins on previous devices but always thought they looked bad and easily peeled, but these carbon fiber ones look pretty good.
Corners dont tend to stick down. I had it on my tab and took it off. Lol

Really have to put some heat to it in order to get the corners to stick. I put the black carbon skinomi on my Tab 7+ and a few seconds with a hot hair dryer, poof, good to go. I'm still waiting on the same carbon for my VZW Nexus. Jesus that place is the slowest on shipping.
Anyone know if the extended battery is going to be an issue with the skinomi for the Nexus?

I would actually argue that the carbon Skinomi makes it LESS "grippy", but protected. It really made my Tab 7+ look sweet. Should be getting the skin for the Nexus today.
I too, am waiting for someone to get a freaking car dock(not a ****ty piece of plastic). With LTE being such a battery drain, I can't believe Verizon is selling a "navigation" mount that can't charge the phone.
That looks really good.
It definitely does look good. I like how they even have some skin for the camera slot. My only peeve, from what I see, are the way the skin corners are. I understand why they did it like that (for ease of installation), but having that little bit of area open just turns me off. Corners are usually the part of the phone that hits the floor or whatever first - at least for me.

Speck cases!

Not sure why I have yet to see anyone mention these on here, but on a whim I went to their site and saw they are selling 3 styles for our phone now. Back when I had my iphones (3gs and 4) these cases were always my favorite. Once I got my GSII, I didn't see them releasing anything for it and didn't like many of the other cases out there, so I just went commando.
I just ordered the black candy shell (for my white GS3) and will also be checking back to see if any other colors are released. I always felt they offered a great amount of protection (kept my iphone 4 safe MULTIPLE times from really bad drops) and not TOO much bulk (IE- not an otterbox).
Pixelskin HD (had this on my ip4 first, probably the most well constructed tpu style case out there)
http://www.speckproducts.com/smartphone-cases/samsung/pixelskin-hd-for-samsung-galaxy-s3.html
Fabshell (not my cup-o-tea )
http://www.speckproducts.com/fabshell-for-samsung-galaxy-s3.html
Candyshell (cannot wait to get mine)
http://www.speckproducts.com/candyshell-for-samsung-galaxy-s3.html
Once I get mine, I will post up a mini review. But judging from my past experience with them, I know I will love it.
Anyone else get them yet?
I'm planning on getting one of these (Candyshell), however, it appears they color I want isn't in stock yet. (Dark Grey). Apparently some AT&T stores have them in stock though.
I'm on Verizon, but may need to take a trip into AT&T and pick one up.
Somebody on Android Central posted pics of theirs and it is gorgeous. Looks perfect with the SG3.
My wife has the white/pink candyshell one on her Atrix 2 and when i took it off she ad some rusty looking stains on the corners of her phone.
I bought a grey Speck Candyshell from my local AT&T store for $35 while I waited for the cheaper slimmer cases I had ordered. It was a great fit, almost a tad too tight for my liking. But it was very solid, offered nice protection for the back/sides/rim-raised for the screen.
I just returned it as my other cases came, IMO the fit was a little too tight for me, and it added just a bit too much bulk for me, I like my cases barely there. Though I'm sure many will love it, this was just my feeling on it.

Perhaps makeup from her purse? I can't see any case causing something like that.
as the case...with any case (sorry, that just sounded weird), you should remove them from time to time and clean the phone still. Most people I know do not do this and then get all mad when there is dirt scratching the back of the phone. Completely ignoring the fact the case has been on for over a year.

Good point!
I had that happen with my DINC. Scratches from dirt and dust getting in. Was hoping that the Speck wouldn't do that as it's more enclosed and lined, but still..... I think I'll remember to do that from time to time.

Just ordered the black/dark grey candyshell. All colors of the candyshell are available on their site with free shipping right now.
I ordered one of the candy shells yesterday. It should be here tomorrow. They also said that if enough people hit the feedback button link on the bottom of their main site and request the SmartFlex Card for the gs3, they will make it.

I've already done the feedback so hopefully others will too.

It's the soot/black in the pics above.....picked it up at the ATT store last week. The speck case is a quality product while i feel the other is not.

I have an O'Box Commuter and am receiving a Reveal and the official car dock today. I will take pictures of the phone with both cases in the dock (assuming they both fit).
I got my Reveal case a couple days ago and I have to admit, I really like it! I bought a case from Motorola. A clear snap on hard case and took it off right away. I also got a Bear Motion case on Amazon that I never used. This reveal case has stayed on since I got it! The blue matches perfectly with the royal blue back of my phone. Thanks guys for the recommendation on this case.
just got my reveal today.
really nice case!!
cost $20 on ebay, which is not really cheap for a case. but i had a cheapo "cimo s-line" on my phone before that that cost me like $3-4. this is much nicer looking, the buttons click better and its actually feels slightly smaller in hand. it really is a small case.
i think its worth it, feels a little better and looks much nicer (the s-line case looked terrible). given im a klutz who manages to knock my phone off a table or something nearly every day it seems like a case was needed. (probably dropped my moto x like 4-5 times this week...)
fit and finish on the reveal is perfect. some part of me wishes i had a phone that wasnt just black weave now, to show off with the see through part.
i do have to say one thing.
this case the clear part scratches up really easily. i put the phone + case my desk plastic side down and there were a ton of fine scratches. tried to polish them out with some meguirs plastx that i had (works great on car dash guages by the way) and it made even more. yes its a case, and its made to be scratched, but be aware the ones wth these hard plastic finishes seem to scratch up quick

Yeah, mine is all scratched up too but it's because it gets tossed in my tool bag. I'd rather the case get scratched than my phone!
Anyone tried casemate's naked tough case? Is this pretty much the same one

The power support aire jacket case has some self healing coating on it that seems to not scratch as easy as the Griffin. I have both and the air jacket is higher quality. My reveal came in the box with lots of scratches straight from Motorola.

It seems such a sin to put something so bulky on a phone that's been engineered to be light, thin and tough. I'll probably just opt for something that keeps the camera window and screen off of surfaces when laid on their respective sides.

Yeah, mines fits crazy snug and once it gets some hand oil on it glides just as good as the glass.

I picked up the defender yesterday. I was initially impressed, they have really improved the built in screen protector from what I remember. The outer shell is also improved, it doesn't seem as "rubbery" as before...
I think I am going to return it though. It seems just too large and it feels slightly more difficult to unlock with the fingerprint reader.
I will likely just go with the Ole' Bessy, shell holster case and a good screen protector.

Anywho, I got the LG V20 and have been going through cases left and right trying to decide which one to put on. I stopped on the VRS design with kick stand. However, it is kinda slippery and I do not like that. Additionally, I am still trying to find a screen protector (preferably tempered glass one), but the ones I installed do not adhere to the very bottom and very top. I do not know why, but probably due to slight curvature of the screen.
I have the Poetic Case with the built in screen protector, and it really reminds me of the otter box but like 3 times cheaper . However, the other box seems nicer, but just a bit bigger.
I noticed the screen proctor, has a minor gap when touching the screen. Does the otterbox have that gap as well or it fits almost as nicely as a regular screen protector would?
I have installed a wet application screen protector yesterday, it adhered nicely but I see minor bubbles a little below the center of the screen which is annoying. I am not sure if they will go away or not.
