Not sure why I have yet to see anyone mention these on here, but on a whim I went to their site and saw they are selling 3 styles for our phone now. Back when I had my iphones (3gs and 4) these cases were always my favorite. Once I got my GSII, I didn't see them releasing anything for it and didn't like many of the other cases out there, so I just went commando.
I just ordered the black candy shell (for my white GS3) and will also be checking back to see if any other colors are released. I always felt they offered a great amount of protection (kept my iphone 4 safe MULTIPLE times from really bad drops) and not TOO much bulk (IE- not an otterbox).

I'm planning on getting one of these (Candyshell), however, it appears they color I want isn't in stock yet. (Dark Grey). Apparently some AT&T stores have them in stock though.
I'm on Verizon, but may need to take a trip into AT&T and pick one up.
Somebody on Android Central posted pics of theirs and it is gorgeous. Looks perfect with the SG3.
My wife has the white/pink candyshell one on her Atrix 2 and when i took it off she ad some rusty looking stains on the corners of her phone.
I bought a grey Speck Candyshell from my local AT&T store for $35 while I waited for the cheaper slimmer cases I had ordered. It was a great fit, almost a tad too tight for my liking. But it was very solid, offered nice protection for the back/sides/rim-raised for the screen.
I just returned it as my other cases came, IMO the fit was a little too tight for me, and it added just a bit too much bulk for me, I like my cases barely there. Though I'm sure many will love it, this was just my feeling on it.

Perhaps makeup from her purse? I can't see any case causing something like that.
as the case...with any case (sorry, that just sounded weird), you should remove them from time to time and clean the phone still. Most people I know do not do this and then get all mad when there is dirt scratching the back of the phone. Completely ignoring the fact the case has been on for over a year.

The Candyshell looks awesome, but does anyone know what the finish is like? I need something with a little bit of rubbery grip bcause this phone just wants to slide right out of my hands.

My wife's candyshell case doesn't feel rubbery/grippy, however it doesn't ever seem to slip out of her hands either.

Good point!
I had that happen with my DINC. Scratches from dirt and dust getting in. Was hoping that the Speck wouldn't do that as it's more enclosed and lined, but still..... I think I'll remember to do that from time to time.

I just looked at one at a store and the finish was too smooth for me. I need something with a little more grip. My search continues...
Just ordered the black/dark grey candyshell. All colors of the candyshell are available on their site with free shipping right now.
I ordered one of the candy shells yesterday. It should be here tomorrow. They also said that if enough people hit the feedback button link on the bottom of their main site and request the SmartFlex Card for the gs3, they will make it.

That's the same color I ordered. All were available when I ordered and thought the bayou/pebble looked pretty good.
It's the soot/black in the pics above.....picked it up at the ATT store last week. Although a little off topic i also ordered the cruzer lite TPU clear case for $9 off [email protected] Bottomline, you get what you pay for in cases.....don't expect a $35 case for $9. The speck case is a quality product while i feel the other is not.

I bought one from Amazon and it's "okay" to say the least i much prefer the one i got directly from T-mobile. but they are nice. but i work in the Automotive industry so i need something that i can put down on a tool box or a stainless steel top and not worry about it scratching up my battery door.
i guess it's like Epik for Blackberries.

makes sense, which one do you use from tmobile? my silicon one seriously lost shape plus picks up dirt and hair etc...lol and the only one I wanted from tmobile I cant find anywhere!

I have the hard plastic case with the kickstand made on the back. I know they are expensive but i have a 14mth old daughter and it helps to keep her quite when we go out. put on Sponge Bob or similar put the phone out of reach and she is a quite as a church mouse.
i'm gonna pop for it. at 5 bucks flat its probably the best deal for the TPU style cases. since TPU i think requires like 4 dollar shipping so it comes out to like around 10 bucks. and i do like the 2 tone flat with gloss cause the flat parts are for grip.
This case is a must order...the pictures do not give it justice..i will post video in a little bit...

so far its pretty good. the styling is pretty god and the sides are dimpled gripping. the rear is flat black which makes it have a contrasted look with the flat and gloss. the power button is a bit hard to press but its not too ridiculous. though the one thing is normally when you plugged in your usb to charge you always got a noticeable click like it was fully setting into place. now because of the case you kinda have to jam it into the opening so it stays cause the case adds about 1-2 mm of fatness. most likely its cause of the size of the usb head. other than that i'm very pleased. comes from Pasadena, CA so if your in socal it'll come to you with-in a day. and for 5.10$ shipped you cant really get anything better.

I thought I'd share this. The Case-Mate Pop! is a perfect fit. Phone is snug and feels really good to the touch. It's a little steep price-wise but cheaper if you break your phone.
UPDATE: Just 3 days later.... prolly gonna wait another week or so before returning.
Nice case. No digging the orange peel effect of the screen protector.
i liked mine the first week i got it too, now the silicon is starting to look all messed up.

File a RMA request, they will let you return it for a refund (I did). Same issue as you, the rubber on it started looking pretty ratty, and for the price, it definitely shouldn't have. Got hairline cracks all around the corners, and the damn power button press-problem as well.

Everytime someone posts a pic of this stupid case I have to fight the impulse demons.
If I had taken a picture of what the rubber around the front of the phone looks like after a few weeks, you'd not have to anymore..

There were no questions asked when I asked for an rma. I shipped it to them, and they received it on the same day they released the Barely There. I asked if I could get one of those in place of a refund, but haven't heard back yet...

My flaws were in the EXACT same places, even the big chunk that came out at the volume buttons. It's got to be something in the molding process, or it wouldn't have that big flaw there at the volume button. I noticed that on the 2nd day after I got it, and it just got worse as time went on.
Just got notification that they are sending me the barely there in place of a refund (at my request). Hopefully it'll fit the bill..

its about 10 times more protective than any tpu case..
its bigger and bulkier, so, if you don't want that, then don't get one...

What is the diff. between SG and HC? is the HC phone/polycarbonate/silicon?
It's quiet comforting knowing my phone will no longer be at risk.
I've already done a 7 ft. drop test with it and am impressed.
I like how the feel is on the power button and volume as well (much easier to press than on the TPU case.

I dont understand why so many people like the TPU cases; the're just a cheap piece of vinyl, and do nothing to protect your phone from a drop on a hard surface, like concrete..they are super cheap, I guess, considering there is only a few pennies in vinyl to make them, so maybe its the price that makes them so attractive..

For me it was keeping the camera from scratching while on a table... It protected that.
Also, it kept the phone from having direct contact with surfaces (to avoid scratch)... yah it would probably break if dropped, but if you rubbed up on a hard surface, at least the phone wouldn't scratch

So I just got my 3 new Cruzer lite cases and thought I would write a lil review on it and share with everyone. I have 2 of the previous Cruzer lite cases (Black & Clear) and loved them. So when I saw Cruzer had new cases coming, I just had to get them. I got the Green, Clear, and Black. This case is WAY better than the previous version. First off, it does not add any major bulk to the phone. It does add some, but very little. It has to add some or it wouldnt be able to protect the phone now would it? I compared it to a TPU case in the Verizon store and was thinner than that. Sorry, dont have make or model. I just ran in for a quick look at. The volume keys are cut out. It didnt bother me in the other case but just looks and feels much better now. The sides have a nice grip on them. Makes it nice when pulling out of my pockets. And last, the back. WOW o WOW. Love Andy the Android on the back. I am using the clear 1 at the moment. The case doesnt attract fingerprints bad at all. My wife hates Android as she had bad luck but when I showed her my new cases when I got home, she even said, thats pretty cool. As I have said before, I HATED cases before finding Cruzer Lite for my Nexus. I highly recommend you purchase 1, 2 or all of the colors Cruzer Lite offers.

If I had to guess I'd say they were molded from the LTE version. There is extra room when you fit this case on the GSM version.

It is actually thinner. The feel on this case is WAY better than his last one. And I LOVED his last case.

How is the fit for the GSM version of the GNex?
Will the TPU bumper lift the camera lens away from the surface like how I suppose the front lip (which I hope is minimal) can lift the screen away from the surface when the phone is placed downwards?
How is the gloss like? Any other similar products with matte?
Are the buttons cut-out?
Does it add a lot, width wise?
Is the tpu rubbery? in the sense that it is sometimes hard to pocket?

Mine was delivered on Friday. Very nice... fits perfectly and doesn't add much extra to the phone. It easily slips into your pocket fine even with the rubber which is only very slight. The buttons are covered with the rubber giving it a nice feel while protecting them. I got the black one and the phone feels very good in the hand with it on. Looks very stylish and still retains the GNex look while protecting it.
Hope this info helps. Only issue was it took 3 weeks to get to me..... only got the postal service to blame for that though LOL
I ordered 2 last weekend. My GNEX had been the first phone that I've gone naked with for this long and I'm loving it, but get freaked out of the thought of dropping it with no protection. Hopefully this is a good compromise.

Definitely worth the wait. It's very stylish, keeps the GNex looking the way it was intended yet protecting it.

I think because of the way these work, they should fit both versions. I can't say for certain since mine hasn't come in yet. Damn slow boat shipping.

I ordered my case from the op's link for my verizon nexus.
Case came in yesterday and overall its a damn good fit and feel for just $4.
Bought a white one but will probably order a black one as well.
I'll post up pics in a bit.
Got the case from the OP yesterday..*FINALLY*!!
I'm using the CDMA version with the extended battery and the fit is fantastic.
I hate having a case on this phone because it just looks and feels so great in hand naked.
This case feels great AND it's minimal enough that it maintains that sexy nexxy look and feel. Seriously, it looks great in person. Couldn't be happier!

Good Stuff man I cant wait to get mine, Probably going to be a couple weeks though. So I'll update with pictures. I ended up getting the White and Orange. Try something a little different. I have 3 sgp cases and there all white and black. That kind of vibe.

I finally received my TPU bumper last week. It's definitely for the GSM version, though I don't mind it on my VZW phone. I like it a lot. But yesterday, the black TPU portion separated away from the white plastic section at the USB port area so I can't use it anymore. Could just be a fluke in my case though. I contacted the original seller to see what they can do.
I doesn't notice it in HK!
