I'm currently using the clear black version of this case on galaxy s2. Fits perfectly and feels very high quality in the hand. The ridged edges give a lot of grip which is good，Don't hesitate buying one!

Solid black always looks cool. The side grips look very cool.

People should be aware that the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is a different size than the UK Galaxy Nexus. The Verizon version is slightly thicker. I hope that does not interfere with the fitment of this case. I am purchasing the phone on Friday, but I am holding off on cases until I read more reviews.

I don't have the phone yet. The Verizon model is being released tomorrow, therefore, no one has been able to make a "Verizon specific" Galaxy Nexus case. I will most likely buy the cheapest case they have at Verizon and use that one until more people report back about fitment. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thought it was delayed? Unfortunately, I think its going to be awhile before we get more accounts of what accessories fit our Verizon model, IF it ever gets released....

I want to make sure: This case is TPU not silicone, correct?

Lol. That's why it is called a tpu. I forgot wavy tpu exactly my stands for but definitely not crappy stretchy silicone.

Let us know how that screen protector looks.
my requirement for dry apply screen protector:
-protector edge sticks to phone all the way to edge. (Most of the dry apply protectors have the last 1mm of the protector lift).
-no rainbow effects. I hate it when there is an ugly rainbow effect. totally kills teh phone.

Gelaskin review/install

Hey guys,
Got my hands on a custom galaxy nexus gelaskin for my device and im showing it to you on this review/install video.
I aint gonna lie it looks pretty sweet.. only down side is the fact that the little top part of the gelaskin( a little strip) kinda overlaps a little bit..I like the fact that im rocking it with my SGP case right now and its double protected from the back.
I usually dont rock the front part because i like the black front but def looks very cool

The one thing that I like about Gelaskins the most is the fact that the skins are removable so no need to worry if you screw up (like screen protectors) and that they have some texture to the skins so you can have some grip on it.

I tested it on the gsm and the phones are pretty much the same size..So as a personal experience no..there is no difference..specially cause gelaskins are selling just one type that fits both

One thing to add to rault's response is that, if I am right with this at least, the only difference between the GSM and LTE versions (when it comes to sizes) is that I believe the LTE model is thicker. In which case it shouldnt cause an issue because the skin just goes on the back of the phone (the door and the beveled edge just around the battery door)

Thanks for the replies guys! Im really tempted on getting one of these. I have a Phantom Skinz cover for my HP touchpad and I really dig the quality. I would like to get another but those dont cover the front panels (Which I really dig). Im just a little concerned about quality when comparing the gelaskins to the phantom skinz and the vast price difference (Almost half as much). I know 15 bucks isnt much but im trying to tighten my wallet a little

When you say quality, do you mean the print quality of the skin if making a custom skin? If thats the case then you don't need to because when making a custom skin and you upload your own image a popup comes on screen telling you how good the image would look with a "good" for mediocre images and a "great" with high quality images.

Its more about the material itself. Ive been rocking the Phantom Skinz on my HP Touchpad for about 8 months now and its still going strong. With that said, im not slipping the tablet in and out of my pants and constantly using it like I would my Gnex. Im afraid how well it will stick over time and weather the colors will fade or discolor.

My custom Gelaskin should be arriving any day now. I'm wondering if the textured backing of the GN will show through or should I get a smooth battery cover?

You wont really see the texture of it (unless you angle it JUST right for the light to hit it) but you will definitely feel the texture of it through the skin.

Grrrrrr....... and I just bought the Diztronic TPU Version 3 case.

Awesome! I'm torn between the Matte Black or White. I have a Diztronic Glossy Black that I love. I bought a Matte Black and it didn't provide enough grip.
Is the White and Metallic glossy? Last time I bought a Ringke case it was sort of a foam, these seem like a hard plastic. I'd love white but I think it would end up dirty and stained.
Update:
I just bought the Metallic. Everyone says it blends in real well with the original color which is nice because there are spots that the actual phone shows through like on the sides.

Just ordered a metallic. Hope it doesn't suck!

As long as the case is larger, it should be ok. We're talking about millimeters here. It'll probably fit but have some play which could be corrected if you get creative.
I think they went for it is because Verizon is the only carrier in the US and they had extended batteries from day 1... for 50% off... so most people picked it up. A case that is a tad thicker is better then a case that is too thin.

I want the alpine white case, my only concern is if it starts to stain or discolor only after a few days. Anyone have any opinions on this?

From the sounds of it.. sounds like you've ordered one if you did, report back I mean Canada has GSM Galaxy Nexuses. It's not always about USA.

Constantly see "not only about the USA" type stuff, which it's certainly true... But I just had to lol, there are so many more GSM-minded cases than LTE/VZW.

I got one of these and I love it! My only critisism is that the rubber plugs for the micro usb and headphone socket have discoloured slightly by my jeans.
It's not enough to get another case though!

I had the alpine white for a few days now and no signs of stains or dicolor ..I also have the full body white carbon fiber skin under it and had no problems..got it from eBay and comes with screen protector for around $26

I understand the whole USA vs GSM issue but USA only has LTE models which are different in size anyway from the GSM variant, so GSM snug fitting cases won't work anyway.
So thats a huge chunk of customers they want to account for. LTE specifically, which most of the LTE phones probably have the extended because they were selling them at such a good price.
And yes I bought the Metallic as noted on the first page. Ringke is a great company and I've demoed a few of their products in the past to know they are high quality. I too wanted the white but I've seen lots of "white" cases. I would have also liked a Glossy Black. The matte is nice but actually feels more slippery then the gloss. The gloss has a "sticky" feel that helps keep it in my hands.
The Metallic is supposedly glossy and matches the phone pretty well, according to the GSM thread. We'll see. Can't wait.

Anyone know where this case can be seen in person? I'd like to hold one before I buy it.

Mine was delivered on Friday. Very nice... fits perfectly and doesn't add much extra to the phone. It easily slips into your pocket fine even with the rubber which is only very slight. The buttons are covered with the rubber giving it a nice feel while protecting them. I got the black one and the phone feels very good in the hand with it on. Looks very stylish and still retains the GNex look while protecting it.
Hope this info helps. Only issue was it took 3 weeks to get to me..... only got the postal service to blame for that though LOL

I ordered 2 last weekend. My GNEX had been the first phone that I've gone naked with for this long and I'm loving it, but get freaked out of the thought of dropping it with no protection. Hopefully this is a good compromise.

I ordered my case from the op's link for my verizon nexus.
Case came in yesterday and overall its a damn good fit and feel for just $4.
Bought a white one but will probably order a black one as well.
I'll post up pics in a bit.

I'm using the CDMA version with the extended battery and the fit is fantastic.
I hate having a case on this phone because it just looks and feels so great in hand naked.
This case feels great AND it's minimal enough that it maintains that sexy nexxy look and feel. Seriously, it looks great in person. Couldn't be happier!

Good Stuff man I cant wait to get mine, Probably going to be a couple weeks though. So I'll update with pictures. I ended up getting the White and Orange. Try something a little different. I have 3 sgp cases and there all white and black. That kind of vibe.

Ordered the b&w, will review it when I get it. Thanks a lot for the tip!

I finally received my TPU bumper last week. It's definitely for the GSM version, though I don't mind it on my VZW phone. I like it a lot. But yesterday, the black TPU portion separated away from the white plastic section at the USB port area so I can't use it anymore. Could just be a fluke in my case though. I contacted the original seller to see what they can do.

I doesn't notice it in HK!

I think this one is the best looking one ive seen so far. Might have to place an order for an orange one

i purches both of them, i loved the rock cases on my hox and my S3.
the back only cover arrieved yesterday. great looking, good feeling and perfect match. just a few rather sharp edges, which i removed with my nails.
i got a grey cover for my silver one, looks really great.
i am waiting for the black flip cover . it did not arrieved so far

1. Is the TPU flexible? If so, is it like completely flexible or just a little?
2. Is the case too shiny? Like candy colours (think: Nokia Lumia)?

1. its rather hard, looks not like TPU, hard plastic would i say, but still flex enoth to fit it
2. the grey one is not that shiny, matt i would say

I ordered the black one, and it just arrived today. Bit of a shame I don't have a phone to put in it, because it looks great. It is glossy, but not overboard. Maybe similar to the gloss on the original PS3? But don't quote me on that, I only owned the slim.
My One should arrive tomorrow. Once it does, I'll post up some pictures so you guys can check it out.
As far as Rock cases go though, I had one for my One X and I really liked it. I would def recommend you guys check them out. Or also Capdase. I just got a white case from them today as well. Both very nice. One is glossy, one is matte.

So my phone arrived, and I had it in the Rock case within about 5 minutes. I'm in Korea for the day, so I'm trying it out. So far: really like it. The case fits like a glove. Doesn't snap on really tight like some, but there is absolutely no movement. I actually prefer this to the ones that make you think you are going to break your phone putting on/taking it off. The black on black looks so good! It's super thin, so the phone shape is maintained. It also has a very slight lip around the edges on the front so you can put it down on it's face, if you want.
The negatives: the black is a fingerprint magnet. I guess that's why they bundled a cloth in the package. The other is I am afraid I'm gonna drop my phone and it will break. I attribute the fear to having just got the phone, as well as being pretty hungover . If I were to drop the phone, the case wouldn't do much to protect it. It's more like a scratch guard.
Anyway, so far I really like it. I bet the coloured ones on the black would look ridiculous good. I'll add pictures when I get some time.

I have Rock "Quicksand" case with the Xperia S.
Dropped it from around waist level to the hard ground. No scratch.
So.. when I got One, I quickly try to find a Quicksand series but they don't seem to made it yet.

Search on amazon for the bear motion case. I had the quicksand for my s3 and this bear motion feels just like that.

Thanks, I already ordered something similar from ebay (not bear motion). I believe they came from the same wholesale retailer and slap different brand on it...
