Use Format Data option and in the confirmation dialogue Type 'Yes'. Probably your blank screen issue will be resolved.
My L21 has the same problem

Well, during boot holding volume up loads to recovery.
On top of that if USB cable is in it will load to erecovery.
In other words
. Volume up and no USB = recovery
. Volume up and yes USB = erecovery

Remember, not knowing what is caused your bootloop problem , this solution is only a guess.

i wiped all internal data for install a new rom via TWRP but this new rom doesn't exist XD
Okay, so you wiped all data. Then what, you tried to flash new rom via ADB?
just reboot to twrp by holding vol up and power. when you see the lg logo release power and press and hold it again. Then a screen asking to factory reset comes up. say yes and yes, then you are in twrp. Connect phone to computer and enable mtp mode so your computer see the phone. You can then transfer another rom to phone to flash.

Wiping even with internal data checked doesn't wipe twrp...you will have to use button combo to boot as another user suggested...hold vol down+power and when screen comes on release only power then quickly repress power...do not release volume...many people are giving instructions from g2/3 which are slightly different than g4...i have accidentally done this myself...trust me twrp won't overwrite itself it's still there

With phone off. Hold bottom vom down and plug usb connected from pc to phone. That will force download mode. If so, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848

Then you did more than you stated you did because i have erased all in twrp including internal storage and had only to do the button combo to get twrp going and send rom file from pc...retrace your steps and make sure you give as much info as possible and maybe someone can help...but none of the things you mentioned would have touched custom recovery...nevermind it seems you fixed it...enjoy
haha this i have done 3 days after buyed my G4 xD
i was so happy that a KDZ exist... Flashed and well done xD

I read that a damaged sd-card could be issue, make sure to try removing it and see if it boots if you have one in.
Put the twrp recovery.img into your adb/fastboot folder. Open a cmd to that folder. Then run cmd
Fastboot flash recovery NameOfTwrp.img

Folks,
Running into a brick wall trying to fix my dad's Redmi Note 5 pro. He has a locked phone which was never tampered with(no unlock bootloader, no root, no twrp) According to him, upon getting an automatic update pushed to the phone, the phone is now in bootloop and won't load the OS. I'm not sure which steps I should even start with to restore the phone
Would appreciate any feedback or support in this matter
Thank You
Happy Holidays..

Here In The U.S... We Are Celebrating Xmas Eve As Of This Writing...
What You Need To Do Is.. Hold down the Vol-Up Button as you turn the device on.. or, as it loops on..
That should take you to recovery... where you can do a "Factory Reset"
That should resolve your issue. :good:

I tried following your steps but I do not see an option for factory reset in the recovery mode. In the main menu, it only gives me the option for Reboot, Wipe Data, Connect with MI Assistant.
am I missing something?

appreciate your help. That seemed to do the trick. The phone was at least able to get into boot state. Its just frustrating that an official update would end up soft bricking the device.
Thanks again

How did u updated the device ?? by the system default updater or manually downloading the rom and installing it via updater ??
Hello,
Here the full story.
I was in some previous version of TWRP, idk which but that always asked my password when i booted into recovery mode etc. So i read online to update the version, i did and then i cannot boot into recovery. Only blue notification dot appears. But till this it was ok i can again press power and vol down and boot normally into my phone
Now there was a system update from settings menu, i clicked on update and it rebooted. Now i cannot do anything. It's stuck here with blue dot.
Help me thanks
Use the unbrick tool, you can find it here on XDA. You'll lose all data but it will save your phone.

Enter into fastboot mode by pressing volume up + power button together when the device is powered off. Connect your pc to your phone and do fastboot format userdata. For more information you can contact @MrWilsonxD he is an expert for this.
MOST IMPORTANT WARNING: Doing fastboot format userdata will wipe your internal storage.

Too from the hospice, I see.
So recently my Mi 11x got stuck on the mi recovery mode 5.0. Tried reboot to system but it loops back to the recovery mode and phone dosent connect to pc via the connect to Miassistance mode , selected the safe mode option too but again loops back to the recovery mode. last ooption there is wipe data but i dont want to lose data. Only if i could get a backup or save the data how can i do it? any way i can connect it to a computer and access the files? also is this a software or a hardware issue, before this issue happened my phone was not free on space and had only 100 mb storage left so was it that thing which caused the problem? a local repair shop told me its the issue of motherboard but he didnt check the phone physically. My only priority is i need to get back my data .
Is your bootloader unlocked?
In that case, you can retrieve your personal data by booting into a Custom Recovery like TWRP or OrangeFox. You may need to enter your Password/PIN.
"fastboot boot twrp.img"
Are you simply using MIUI, or Xiaomi.eu? Do you use Magisk? Any modifications?

Sorry, no they will not work.
you could try holding the power button until the phone reboots twice or trice and then leave the power button and let it boot.
i used to get random bootloops on my family phones that have never heard of the word root. That usually did the trick
