N7105/I317 Flex Cable Charging Port... 1.0? Need help - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the Canadian variant of the Note II, N7105. My 6-year-old daughter broke the charging port, and I need a replacement. I took the phone apart and pulled out the charging port. It says SGH-I317 Rev 1.0 R.D33(KH) 39 on it. From what I can gather from my research, Rev 1.0 seems to be the most important part. Does it have to say I317 on it? I have found some online that say N7105 on it. Is it okay if I buy that one? I assume it would be compatible. What about T889? I read that it might be compatible as well?
How important is rev 1.0? I am having a heck of a time finding 1.0 online, especially to get it in Canada. Most seem to be 0.7. Does it matter? Do any of you have the same phone as me and you successfully replaced it? If so, which one? This phone was originally from Koodo.

TheCanadian version of the Note 2 was either an sgh-i317m (sgh-i317 on AT&T or sgh-t889(used by Freedom/Wind and T-Mobile USA). The n7105 is the international verson that was sold outside of North America.
Some third-party cables can be hit and miss. I ordered a cheap replacement from Aliexpress for the sgh-i317 and it worked perfectly although I did not make note of the revision #.

Battery for Int'l and AT&T version - can I use one with the other?

I have not seen the seller selling the original battery for the Int'l version of the Note (N7000), however there are some that sell original battery for the AT&T version. However, they noted that the AT&T version is not compatible with the Int'l version.
I am thinking that the AT&T version can be used for the Int'l version, so I emailed on of the seller and their response is:
Both the international Note and the US version of the Note are constructed a
bit differently. The battery for the international version is different
than the battery for the US version. Not sure if it is to accommodate the
voltage difference of the wall chargers but I hear from the customers that
the batteries are different and not interchangable. The Note battery we
sell is for the U.S. ATT Note SGH-i717 only and will not work on the Samsung
Note N7000.
So it seems that there is an issue with charging the battery, judging by what this seller's customer reported? Can anyone provide insight on this?
My goal is to buy ORIGINAL Samsung battery, so I don't have to deal with quality or incompatibility issue and ended up damaging my Int'l Note, which have NO Samsung US warranty. If the AT&T version can be used in my Int'l version, I can buy one from an AT&T store!
NOTE: I used to have a Nokia phone a while back and I use 3rd party battery (non Nokia battery) and it damaged my phone, so I don't want to go through the same thing again.
I use both with no problems!

Think about it this way:
Compatible means physical size, shape, electrical contacts, and voltage and charging are the same.
What you are worried about is crappy chemistry, poor quality of manufacturing, or other poor design. Which is not an issue with any OEM battery.
Go to ATT store, pull the battery, read the ratings and compare their size and shape. If they match, you are golden.

I did order one of the AT&T Note batteries for my N7000 international Note. Both batteries look identical. After several charges with the new battery, it doesn't seem to function any differently either.
So if you want a second battery, proceed with one for the AT&T Note.
Best is to check part numbers if present.
One thing I know is that in the I777, I9100 batteries wouldn't work - the I777 specifically checked the ID resistor (the pin between + and -) for a value that was different from I9100 batteries - but with the I777, NFC was in the battery.
In the I717, NFC is in the battery door instead of the battery.

[Q] Need Help-Galaxy S3 i747 model LCD/Digitizer/face plate not available in INDIA

Hi GUys,
I need serious help from you guys.
I have a S3 (i747 model at&t) this i got it from USA and now i am in india for good.
Yesterday my S3 Digitizer broke (but the housing/faceplate is perfect).
I took it to samsung service center in INDIA chennai. they told that they do not replace just the LCD/Digitizer but they replace the hole set as it is (ie, LCD/digitizer already fitted to a faceplate). and the cost of it all is 7100rs (apprx 135USD).
But the problem began now. You see the motherboard layout for i747 and i9300 models are different (ie faceplate/housing of i747 and i9300 are different) they are not INTERCOMPATIBLE.
And in india they dont have faceplate/housing for i747 model as its only available in USA.
can anyone tell me where can i replace the screen of my i747 S3 in india?
Or is there anywhere from where i can ship out the product to india.
PS: i know people would point out to videos in where to remove the LCD/digitiser out of the faceplate buy using heat guns... well i dont want to do it.
I want the Faceplate/LCD-Digitiser for WHITE i747 model S3 and i am in INDIA (also will i get it in the same cost approx 130 usd).
Your help will be immensely appreciated.
A Question to Samsung: I have a i747 and I carry a International warranty and I am out of USA for next 3 years and I break my Screen? Will they not help me out or repair my S3? What is the use of having International warranty then in first place?
Awaiting your reply,

Charger model number

Hi everyone,
For the folks with the SGH-I747, can you please give me the model number of your charger? My charger got stolen along with some other stuff on a recent trip and I'm trying to replace it with an OEM part. Even better if you're Canadian, although I don't think it should make much of a difference. If the cable has a model number, please note that too.
Thanks!
I got the model number from a friend who has a Telus GS3. The model number is ETA0U61JBE in case anyone needs it. Thanks!

hardware differences

Is there any hardware difference between Note 4 variants?
I broke my screen and bent the housing. On ebay, there is a replacement part for Sprint Note 4 (N910P) and the seller says that it will not work for other variants.
Can anyone confirm this?
This won't fully answer your question, but I know for a fact that the Verizon version has the microphones in different places than the ATT and T-Mobile versions. I know because while buying a case, I kept seeing Verizon users rating the case's as 1 star because the case was covering the microphone. ATT and Tmobile users were giving high ratings and saying that the case fit perfectly and didn't cover the microphone.
So my point is that yes, there are some differences, but it depends on the varients. Some varients are the same in some areas, but different in others, while some varients are 100% same. I just don't know how the Sprint version compares to the ATT version though.

[Q] Is "standard" Note 8 digitizer compatible with the i467 (AT&T) Note 8?

[Q] Is "standard" Note 8 digitizer compatible with the i467 (AT&T) Note 8?
Hi All,
I spent some time searching but didn't come up with anything definitive. I've heard from one source that a standard Galaxy Note 8 digitizer (e.g., GT-N5110) *is not* compatible with the AT&T branded Note 8 (SGH-I467). Price online for replacements are significantly higher for what are called I467 digitizers than a regular Note 8 digitizer, so wanted to get a second opinion before purchasing.
Thanks!
I know this is an old thread. Since it took me some efforts to figure this out, I am sharing with the public.
In terms of the digitizer, GT-5110 *IS* compatible with SGH-I467. This is because neither have an earpiece or proximity sensor. GT-5100 has these 2 hardware. Thus, if you put a GT-5100 digitizer on SGH-I467, you would have extra holes. Many sellers on eBay would tell you both GT-5110 and SGH-I467 share the same digitizer because both are Wi-Fi only version. This is WRONG. While GT-5110 is Wi-Fi only, SGH-I467 is LTE. However, the radio capability is IRRELEVANT. What makes them compatible is the lack of these extra holes. By grouping GT-5110 with SGH-I467 these sellers do sell you the right part even though they have the wrong knowledge. haha
