i have samsung wave and installed badadroid years ago and reset to factory settings so zimage deleted now my phone doesn't boot and can't reach recovery and when i connect it to pc can't recognize it so multiloader does not find it
is there a way to recover my phone?

Try to complete the KIES processes in the task manager.
Use another cable, other USB ports, or another computer.

bricked s8500, please help me.

Hello, I have bricked my S8500. I can go to the download menu. The problem is that I can't install properly USB drivers , or maybe it is USB cable that is wrong, the USB cable is from nokia and model is : CA101. Even when the phone was working ok computer couldn't see my wave , and I don't know why... So the problem is that when I go to the Download menu my computer detects all the drivers and everything is alright... And when I hit download I get this.
Download Start Ch[0]
BootLoader 1703.9KB OK[0.7s]
Dbl 281.5KB OK[0.8s]
Wait reset !!
Serial port detect error!
And after Wait reset my computer just didn't recognize my phone anymore, and that's why it has been bricked at the begining. Could anyone please help me? I tried different USB drivers, different PC. Nothing helps :{{{ Please guys, help me.
Maybe it is because my USB cable isn't from original wave, or no?

I too use Nokia table to flash my samsung wave. If your phone was able to connect to Kies prior to flashing there should be no issues.
When you flash for 1st time you always get that error. Pls try once again and you shd not face any issues.

No, I wasn't able to connect to kies. I got a USB cable from original xperia x10, still same issue... Can someone tell me what to do? I downloaded a lot of drivers, but maybe there is some special driver? :/
The problem usually goes away for me when flashing from a freshly booted pc, so try restarting one of your computers for flashing and try again.
Have done that too... Any advice? :/
Hello!
First kill all Kies Processes (in the Task Manager)
Second launch Multiloader and try to flash
When it says Serial Error, just do Port Search again, and it should work

You didn't understand me very well. The problem is that when I hit download my computer suddenly loses USB connection and shows my phone as unknown device, that is the problem why I bricked my phone. Do anyone knows how to make my pc see my samsung wave?

Same thing happened to me. After this, you shouldn't disconnect you wave, but to wait, and click search port again. If there is no port again, tru with different multiloader (mine was v5.65), and there is again same problem, try with another computer with preinstalled USB drivers.
The good thing is that your phone still enters boot mode. If it wasn't the case, then it would be a total brick.
Best regards

No, you didn't understand this flashing process. Most important thing here is to avoid interrupting of connection between computer and phone, even in serial port error. You need to search port again, or to change things that I mentioned above.
You hit download, then bootloader is loaded. It is absolutely normal in this algorithym to reset phone (wait reset). Then our error appears in port error. That is the time when you should click port search again, and when it finds it again (it will) click download button. Thats how it was in my case already 4 times.. Hope I helped.
Best regards
I have told that I reinstalled a lot of drivers and tried different PC's, nothing helps. I tried about 3 or 4 versions of multiloader still same result :/ I don't know what to do anymore... Please any advices? Maybe someone had the same issue?
I don't really know what happened. We switched our cables with my friend again, and I tried to flash with Nokia cable. And everything went okay for the 1 time. No errors, no nothing, no Unknown USB device problem. This is really strange. Thank you for you help friends :}

hey,...
i am trying to root my tmobile galaxy S2 and i am in downloading mode...put recovery.tar file in PDA section and when i hit start...nothing happens and after a while i get failed notice and says " Can't open the serial(COM) port." what am i doing wrong.
Did you install the usb drivers first? If not here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6onrjbyd46j4lhj
that could be the only reason i can think of that odin isn't detecting phone. Also try a different usb port on the computer, and if that doesn't work try a different cable.
uninstall Kies if u have ut because the drivers stick i did and now it works lol

Go into Kies, Tools -> Preferences, unselect "Run Samsung Kies automatically when a device is connected", save the change, close out of Kies, and then restart ODIN 3. Try flashing now.
reinstall drivers with KIES. go to troubleshoot and then you should be good to go after. also check the cable too..

I had the same problem and I fixed it by exiting from Kies software. You might get this new error "Complete(Write) operation failed". Then all you should do is just pulling your battery out and restarting odin and phone. I disables the firewall too, but I don't think the problem was firewall. Anyway mine is working well and I did it.
Hi, I'm also having the same problem. The 'Charging paused...' message kept popping up so I tried to flash a different official rom via odin (I was on official ICS). Unfortunately the flash failed and now when I try to turn on the phone the 'Firmware upgrade encountered an isuue......' message comes up. I tried connenting to kies also but can not to do so. I have hope as i can get into download mode but can't flash a rom. I got halfway once then suddenly it failed again. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thank You.

The phone needs to be in download mode for Odin. And kies shouldn't be running on your PC. Go to task manager and kill any kies processes.
Download mode on the phone as I remember is power button and volume down.
?
If anyone is using Odin to flash 4.1.2, I found either Odin 3.04 or to be the only ones that worked for me.

Try different Odin versions perhaps. Uninstall Samsung drivers and install the newest kies again to reinstall them. Don't need to uninstall kies , just be sure all its processes are killed in your PC task manager.
There's nothing you can do until your phone and Odin are communicating. Try another cable, try another USB port on your computer. Last, try another computer.

Try everything I suggested. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas unfortunately.
I'm curious, what does your phone show as in device manager in pc when connected? Or is it not being seen at all?
And Y Duos? You know this is the Tmobile S2 section, right? ?
Lots of Y Duos bricked talk here as well as other links in this thread to review.

Well here's my list of troubleshooting instructions:

3.Try Redownloading Odin v 1.85 , Click on my attachment to download.
4.Make sure your Kies is up to date.
5.Make sure that your battery is 100 % fully charged
6.Remove your SIM Card before flashing , That could interrupt the flashing process.
7.Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to Processes and terminate the process named "KiesHelper.exe" and "KiesTrayAgent.exe" and if you're using ADB then terminate the process named "adb.exe" ( Im not sure if adb.exe is the correct name of ADB process,Correct me if im wrong)
8.Make sure before you press the "Start" button on Odin you should Notice these two thing before pressing the Start button : ID:COM and make sure you have got the "Added!!!" word on the box (Where you can see if flashing has successful ex. Success 1/0 Failed

[Q] i747M stuck in bootloop

Hi all,
I really need some help here with my Samsung Galaxy i747M which i recently wipe/factory data reset and wiped the cache. The phone booted fine after and i went through all the setup steps, then the problem begins. I am unable to see a background then the phone reboots and ends up in a bootloop. I am able to access download mode and recovery mode but my PC is not able to pick up the phone in download mode. I tried switching the usb cables and everything and still nothing.
My question is, is there any way to flash a new firmware via recovery mode or at least a custom rom and/or CWM through recovery mode. I am not able to pick up the phone through Odin.
Please help!!
You mean Odin does not detect the phone when it is connected in download mode? You're running the most up-to-date s3 drivers and Odin 3.07 or 3.09?
What bootloader is on your phone?

no the phone does not have a custom recovery, i wanted to know if there is anyway other than odin to flash in a custom recovery using the stock recovery. device manager or odin does not pick up the phone for whatever unknown reason. what can i do??
You can't flash a custom recovery through the stock recovery. The easiest way would have been to do it via Odin.
Are you running a Mac or Windows machine? What OS? Does the phone charge when it's connected to the computer?

You tried a different computer too? Are there any unknown devices in device manager when you connect the phone? You tried all of your USB 2.0 ports? If you did all of this, it's possible the USB port on the phone has malfunctioned.
You could try loading a custom recovery via fastboot.

So there are no unknown devices in device manager on any computer with any USB cables? If that's the case, maybe the phone's USB port is defective.
Yes, ADB/fastboot requires a working USB connection but the drivers are different from when you connect the phone after it has booted to its desktop.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy W Download Mode USB Problem

Hi guys !
I rooted my phone and then tried to setup some roms. But when I try to go in the download mode, it says "Downloading... Do not turn off the target" but on my computer, it cannot recognize the usb. I setup the usb drivers, tried another ports and there is no problem about my usb cable. It works normally, but whenever I go in the download mode, this thing happens and I cant continue to Odin. Does anyone know anything about that ?

You can install it easily if your phone is rooted just
-put the downloaded recovery.img in /mnt/sdcard
-download & install "Terminal Emulator" in play store
-open it then type "su" and click enter
-allow root access..
-then type "dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13" then click enter
-then some text will show in bottom
-exit terminal..
check the recovery by turning off the device then turn on with volume up botton, home button, and power button pressed together..
until "Galaxy W" screen shows up, release the power button only.. then you will enter CWM

Download mode Windows 8.1 10
To connect your phone in download mode on Windows 8.1 and 10 you need to apply this registry file (in my attached zip file).
Mirror Link
It happens for most old phones.

still doesn't work for me, can you please post the drivers you are using ?
If you see the USB device is not recognized error it's not a driver issue.
Windows automatically downloads the drivers through Windows Update. BTW here are the drivers:
