I have resurrection remix 5.8.5 and been using it with all the updates for so long and no problem.. Just happened to charge it little longer i guess but that happened many times..
but this time saw the phone was off while plugged in to the charger and powered on with the charger..went to download mode and since then keep going to download mode.
just checked the battery voltage its like 3.2v but the battery says 3.8v. definitely the battery also gone bad. but no issue , phone is the problem here...
in download mode i tried to use odin to flash cf-autoroot and twrp (which i had along with RR Rom) just to see if it goes back to atleast recovery or reset itself from going to auto-download mode and start in to my rom. but no luck so far. i know this shouldn't be a big deal so i wanted to ask you guys before i install stock rom and loose my data and then install RR rom back and go thru that long process...
I saw a video where they said to remove charging/usb connector and leave it there and then restart i tried but i had to plug it back since the battery is bad...
Please help thanks...

I have a galaxy s3 which after I turn it on it shows 0% on the battery and immedialtley turns off. i tried another fully charged battery and it does the same thing. It wont turn on at all unless it is plugged in. What is interesting is that in recovery mode or download mode once I boot into these modes when it is plugged in it will run on the battery fine if i pull the plug. In regular mode it shows 0% and shuts off. I reset it and no change.
I am running cwm and pacman rom. I reset and cleared the caches and fixed permissions but no change.
Any ideas ? Thanks
How long has this been going on for? 1 hour 1day 1 week?
Have you tried returning to unrooted stock?
Try that, re do everything and come back and let us know
Personally thats what id do...

Thanks. Is there anyway to figure out the rom version from download mode or recovery. i am not sure if the pacman rom is the 4.3 or earlier one. Phone does not seem to be in debugging mode so I cant use the toolkit. I am not sure if it is the 4.3 version which would mean I cant use the one file unroot which anyways I cant get the sdcard to mount.
Anyway to fix thsi from dowmloader mode without knowing the rom version i dont want to brick it.
been going on a couple of days.
Any ideas? I can get into download mode. should I take a chance and flash and earlier stock? I need to remove the custom binary count and I cant get on to use triangle away.
Have you tried Flashing the Rom again ? Or possibly flashing a different Rom ?
[Q] "GT-S7560" What ROM's currently exist? and help with some issues with current ROM
So.. first I want to know what ROM's currently exist for my "GT-S7560", not the M version. ("Samsung Galaxy Trend" from Vodafone Portugal)
if you'd be kind enough to list them for me.. it would be great.. cus I didn't find anything.
Second I'd like to know how can I reset the entire phone, to the original ROM, etc.. to put it like new.
Third, I'll explain why I need to know those things above..
1 month ago, I flashed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674091
All is fine.. phone is much faster with this new ROM..
But, my battery overheats.. when charging or not.
When my battery goes below 5%, it doesn't shut down the phone automatically like it says on the ROM page.
I go to sleep, I have my battery full, wake up next day. phone is turned off with 0% battery.
Can't charge it up again, cus it doesn't charge with the phone turned off. I was successful on charging it with the phone off for a few times.. but no longer.
So now i borrowed a battery from a friend, so I can fix this.. so I could turn on the phone...
So the problem must be the ROM. and so I need another one.. Or the stock one.. or a Stable one.
Hope you can help me..
Thz..
*I tried to revert back with my backups.. but they are corrupted.

Hi , you should try to install a stock rom..because custom roms have a lot of bugs...you can find a stock rom on samfirmware.com...and flash it via odin..it`s easy..put the phone in download mode by holding power , menu and volume down buttons at the same time..

Ok.. did that.. all went ok.. but the Wi-fi doesnt work now. Can't turn it on.. and its stuck on "Turning on..."
I've wiped cashe and delvin or whatever.. and still stuck at "Turning on.."
Best option is get cyanogenmod 4.4.1 20130813 (I believe ill get direct link) kylessopen it has few bugs but seems to b only one that kinda works perfectly minus the bugs
Hi everyone, i just bough a I747 unlocked, im from Venezuela.
It come with last stock rom (tough its 4.4.4) and i rooted, instaled Philz Touch Recovery and flashed Cyanogen Nighties 13, from the official cyanogen site all fine here (btw i have to update the modem so the sim can be recognized). Yesterday i download the last nightie and installed via recovery, and start to reset just turning on, i mean, the phone get to the desk, and turn on totally, then just turn off (this happen when i tried to open a app or just open the menu, now make it just after 4 seconds of tottally turn on). I make a full wipe again and install the previous version of Cyanogen, and the problem still, wipe all data and cache, same with Dalvik Cache.
Something curios happen yesterday, the phone make the sound that makes on low battery, i plug to charger and it turn off, and show the battery with 42%, it work perfectly with charger plug in, but when i disconect it turn of and i have to turn on, REALLY SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH, I TRIED MY BEST TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM, IF U DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, ASK ME AND I WILL TRY AGAIN TO EXPLAIN BETTER.
I uploaded the modem withouth making it version by version, i just upload to I747UCUEMJB withouth the others, i dont know if this make the error happen, becuz i have a few days working with it before the error happen.
Im now dowloading OctM to test.

Okay, i just install last octo-m, the phone have to still plug to turn on, but then i can disconnect and works normally. I could appreciate if someone gets me a Stock Rom for the SGH-I747 so i can comeback to TouchWiz, and help me with to bootloader/modem updated guide, i think the problem is on there.
Nope, the phone still gettin off, doest'n last even 3s on desktop.
If the phone was running stock 4.4.4 and you installed the mjb modem which is from 4.3, this may have caused the problem. Maybe flashing a newer modem may solve the problem.
Just bought a new battery and the problem it's gonne, thansk to reply, the problem was a bad battery. (the phone isn't new, i buy from 2nd hand)
Hello all,
having a really aggravating problem where I'm using my g3 where periodically I'll be using my phone (playing pokemon go usually, think it happened once while using the web browser) and the screen just shuts off and will not power on or do anything at all, totally unresponsive, no matter how long I hold the power button. I either have to pull the battery or plug it into a charger to get it to power on again.
When I plug the phone into the charger, the battery screen pops up. It shows my current percent and after some time it will boot back into system.
This wouldn't be so awful if it wasn't for the fact that there's no way to reset the damn phone when it's unresponsive without pulling the battery or charging!
Please, would anyone have ANY clues as to why this is occurring? Any logs I can check?
At the very least, is there any way to modify the boot firmware to allow me to reset the phone when it's unresponsive?
The only thing I can think of is that I replaced the battery recently. The replacement is (supposedly) genuine.
Thank you so much!
[edit] Currently using stock marshmallow that is just rooted no custom kernels or xposed (clean flash) and still having the problem but also had the problem on an older version of fulmics with an old version of xceed kernel
Sorry for the bump, but I'm really desperate for any pointers to solving this. To reiterate:
1. I'll be using my phone (touch screen is being pressed)
2. Screen suddenly shuts off, completely black, no rhyme or reason
3. Phone completely unresponsive, will not power on until battery is pulled or phone is plugged into the charger (in the case of the latter, the phone displays the battery charging screen like the phone was completely off and dead)
Please I'm desperate for any kind of help at all. The problem doesn't seem to happen while charging, only when drawing directly from battery though I generally don't use it while it's charging
I also have D851 I had the same problem as u Flash custom kernel like xceed check the andriod development page for g3 u will see it there use 4v beta mentioned on his thread u need TWRP n root for this if ur in clean stock rom ... Thank you so much for your response jinderation!
Just to clarify, you've had this issue described in the OP, but installing the exceed 4v kernel solved the problem for you?
I've installed the exceed 4v kernel so I will report back if I still have the problem.
Regards
Yes i had the same issue mine gave problem when i was rooted n xposed installed on stock kernel i havent checked it in complete stock cuz i recently bought this phone n whenever i buy a new phone i root it after flashing xceed wipe delvik cache also i no longer have random reboots of tmobile logo n no phone being complete dead to pull the battery out n place it back again ... After flashing xceed u also may need to flash super su via twrp for root download synapse from playstore apply on the lower power state mode then ur good to go
Hey everyone. I've installed the exceed 4v kernel as described in Jinderation's post and sadly I still get the shutdown / won't respond without pulling battery or charging problem .
I noticed I almost always have the problem when the battery is under 50. It NEVER happens while the phone is connected to some kind of charger.
I will be extremely grateful to anyone who can offer further advice. Is there anyway way I can run a log to catch what's causing this problem?
Also, thank you so much jinderation for taking the time to help me.
Regards
I was on the stock MM rom about a month in use for the d851 had no issues. Yesterday my phone blue screen wont power back on or no charge no nothing. Plz help!!!

Thats strange u shouldnt be having this issue on that kernel ... Here is one another solution go back to stock via restore via twrp if u had a backup in there ...n flash solid kernel ...solid kernel is best for performance try that... I played n completed Fahrenheit indigo prophecy game on that kernel no reboots or being complete dead... Try it n report back ...also buy 2 stock batteries try running them on ur phone also use geniune stock cable n charger install ampere app see how many ampere are showing when charging the value needs to be 800mah in normal

I got a new battery today. Same issue no power on
Hello, I've tried my best but really am struggling.
When I first got the phone the only sign of life was when charging it there was a charging circle. I managed to play around and now while plugged in I am able to get into download mode while holding Volume Up + volume Down. However, the phone is continuously looping while plugged in (unless in download mode) & does absolutely nothing when not plugged in. When I get into recovery mode it instantly reboots, and whenever I try flash stock firmware I get PIT or bootloader error (<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.). My suspicion is the fact I do not have the correct stock firmware but for whatever reason I cannot find the firmware for this model (SM-A505FZWDINS, Indian version).
Does anyone know what I should do? I'd like to give life to this phone but I'm really out of ideas.
Thanks in advance,
icecub

How definitive is this?
Is the battery know to be good?
If you don't know assume it's bad... everything you're stating indicates insufficient battery capacity.
Try twrp rooting formate then re flash stock firmware make sure Odin is the correct version this also happens when I don't have correct or upto date version hope this helps
same **** here. for me i cant charge the battery too. but before that with about the same problems i got it to work again for a few days.
funny that i saw more ppl at the last time here with the same problem. but i flash a stock firmware. R11 but it dosent solve it for a few days.
now it hangs allways on boot or warning logo for unlocked bootloader. i have used this phone over a year without this issue.
