TWRP Recovery for Samsung Galaxy E7.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download and install Odin/usb drivers.
2. Power off the device and boot into download mode by holding [VOLUME DOWN+HOME +POWER].
3. A Warning screen appears,now press volume up once and connect the phone to the PC.
4. Open Odin with admin rights and you should see the phone added at some ID COM: port,
if not then you have to download and install the appropriate drivers.
5. Now click on AP and select the downloaded recovery file.
6. Hit start and the flashing will be done in a few seconds and the device reboots.
Enjoy!!
Hold volume up+home+power to enter into recovery mode.

Ganesh, I tried it on E7 SM-E700H android 4.4.4
I found some bugs
1. When flash finished and I reboot to
Recovery mode something 5 sec it shows
All white blank screen with some dots
Then it work.
2. Brightness adjustment not working
3. MTP not working when device running
In recovery mode
Please fix it.

Yes i'm working on it as i don't have the device to test it takes some time and also i'm working on a couple of other devices. Does all the partitions mount correctly and being shown with my recovery?

If someone can give me a confirmation if the recovery is working and showing all the partitions,i'll make a new thread for cm12.1 and release the test builds over there. :good:

I root some devices and recovery
You recovery TWRP is great
My first phone is Razr xt910 2012
The Galaxy E7 is very stable
I tested Release 5.1.1 Wifi fail
Only need time to reinstall and factory reset
I Waiting miui or CM for E7

CONFIRMATION
Ganesh, I have E7 SM-E700H and
I tried This TWRP recovery in my
device both android version 4.4.4 and
5.1.1, I confirmed that in 5.1.1 this working
great but not showing any partitions
and MTP enable but not working. When
I tried to wipe or backup data there was
no any partitions also In 'mount' option
same. In 4.4.4 also same problems with
Some other bugs I already told you
so please fix it.

Still not working
My phone is Samsung e700h and after installing this recovery by odin still Twrp manager show that custom recovery is not installed or not detected.
Please help me.

I know how to go on recovery mode.
I said it's not working for me.

TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. TWRP also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.
This TWRP was originally formed to work on Lenovo K3 Note. After Denis work on K3 Note, I wanted to make it that would work on Lenovo A7000-a to. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.
A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like OmniROM

Flashing Instructions :
To install recovery images use Flashify / Rashr / TWRP Manager from Play Store or flash in your current recovery:
1. Go to install, find and select the Images... button.
2. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it.
3. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.

Its will overwrite the old one with the new one... You can update via TWRP to
1. Boot to TWRP
2. Select install files
3. Select install image
4. Then select recovery image
5. Select install on recovery
6. Finish and go to reboot option and select reboot to recovery
6. Tadaaa your new Recovery installed

It I'll not detect backup from old TWRP,you need to backup files on new TWRP and just move your old backup to new folder one

Thanks for replying. Can you give the steps? Doesn't spflashtool need a scatterfile? Sorry but I'm not very familiar with spflashtool.

In sp flash tool...for flashing Recovery
1-Install lenovo driver
2-open sp flash tool by administration
3-load scatter file,
4-select recovery only (also select recovery u have downloaded)
5-check in option that dal dal option is tick
6- click on download
7-switch off ur phone...take out battery for 5 sec..reinsert battery and connect ur phone with pc then
It will automatically flash the recovery after u see a download ok popup window disconnect ur phone and u have successfully flash TWRP recovery

Where can I find the scatterfile for this TWRP image? The download only gives the img file. My MM A7000-a is not rooted and does not have custom recovery yet.

i flashed a theme on my old twrp.....the theme got caried on to this one......
i am unable to remove it....plez help.....
there is no folder of twrp in my sd card....

I recomend flash twrp with odin
some users report flashfy cause bootloop

I m changing system apks like contact,splanner, etc but can able to move apk file from external sd card to root/system/ folder

You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.
Instructions:
Flash with odin in the AP slot.
Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE STEPS WILL RESULT IN TWRP BEING REPLACED BY STOCK RECOVERY
NOTE: ON SOME ANDROID 5.1.1/6.0/7.0 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.

The sources are no good for anything but compiling TWRP.

Can we still push OTA even if TWRP is installed?
If not, do we still have to go back ab initio?

I noticed it after TWRP Flashed
1. Lock screen pattern, pin, password a bit delayed/ take some time to unlock
2. The USB-OTG in TWRP is not working

I have already tried to fix this. Seems it's an issue with the kernel. You asked in this thread.

after install reboot is bootloop and not start android
the bootloader not start rom
after this i access recovery and restore backup

=> recovery is not seandroid enforcing
if boot on reboot message is

Bootloader start 8 or 10 seconds on samsung logo
after this blank screen and reboot

Please Please make rom for Galaxy E700H 3G , i got poored with my dead old stock rom from samsung , i stayed with stock rom for more than 2 years on kitkat 4.4.4 because stable battery usage but i hate old poor appearance , i want to bring alive to this old phone , please .
