Gattic 0.32 Beta
About
Gattic is an event scheduling application that organizes and centralizes all of your daily tasks. Our unique organizational schema of Who, What, When, Where, Why paired with the chat allows for a simple yet efficient way for managing your tasks. We are looking for both people who want to start organizing their lives and people who are organized already but just can't find the right app. We come out with updates once or twice a month. We will be having some big updates so stay tuned!
What's New?
Group Functionality - This is our first update with group functionality. We would like feedback as we integrate groups with events over the course of the next month.
Friend Functionality - Text to invite is currently disabled until iOS is out. Besides that, what functionality would you want to make adding friends easier?
Event Feed & Scrollbar Heat Map - Are you a fan the Feed layout? Are the colors intuitive?
What can you do for us?
Use the feedback form! We want to hear what you have to say. We have a ton of features on our of To-Do list and want to put your needs at the top to give you the best experience we can.

No doubt many of you are now aware of the Feature Suggestions forum that Microsoft has set up, presumably for Windows Phone 8 / Apollo. I was thinking that maybe we should put in combined efforts to upvote some suggestions that haven't gained a whole lot of traction, or to collaborate to introduce new ones. My idea here is not to vote on the popular suggestions, as they are likely to be seen by normal visitors and are likely to be noticed by Microsoft. This is about pushing the less popular but nonetheless good suggestions to the top.

So - what features do you want that haven't received many votes / are not there at all? Do you have a suggestion on there that could do with some votes? Please include a link to the suggestion so we can easily vote.
Some of the more important things linked for you to vote on.:
Greatly improved battery life
Non-tap turn-by-turn voice navigation
Cloud backup of saved game progress
Device backup for sms/mms, apps, data, emails, settings
Screenshot support
"Flick-away" app closing in multi-task mode
Separate volume control for ringtone and media
OTA official updates
Notifications center or bar
we can be heard
over at the official forum where microsoft is listening, i've submitted a number of requests. bluetooth file transfer and screenshop support are top subjects at the moment, however a homebrew screenshot app just came out

I hope they're listening. It would be cool if they implemented the most voted requests.
I believe Microsoft is listening. Would be great if they started implementing the top ones for Tango - many requests seem pretty minute, and are really just a matter of Microsoft DOING it. Would be absolutely killer in terms of usage and publicity if they include the Top 100 or something (why not? Mango purported had 500 features).
Applications Sub-menu
Ok this is one i have been thiking about since i now have over 150 applications on my phone.

Enable sub-menus that can be swiped left to open third page of applications in that sub menu

Will probably consider the ones that aren't in the Top 60. Those are the ones which could be lost in the mix and need our votes, the Top 60 are the first three pages and I would think that most people would have the patience to go through them.
Greatly improved battery life
Non-tap turn-by-turn voice navigation
I guess you could argue that battery life improvements will be in the mix regardless - it should be a generic goal at this stage. Note that the Mango devices actually do have much better battery life due to a more efficient processor. And I would say notification centre is currently being supported in this form:

I voted and I still want to send/receive audio/video through mms. I have a lot more phone#s than I have email addresses in my contacts.
I don't mind syncing to pc for update. I'd rather not have to use the storage on the phone for a backup. It might be a good option but I wouldn't want to have to solely rely on it.
I think Microsoft should not avoid basic functionality with the mindset of "no one really uses it". Likewise, Nokia should have kept the FFC for the Lumia 800.
I've put up two suggestions - really, ideas I see as fundamental.
"Speed dial" on new tabs
Third-party integration for hubs
Voice Actions
Once we have the framework in place, we will adding Voice Actions in a very brisk pace. We hope to cover all the suggestions you have put forth, right from ability to add calendar appointments to play music. And to make it as intuitive as possible, so that you don't need a manual or walkthrough to find what commands work.
Multiple Language support
The most sought out feature is support for multiple languages. To be frank we have kept this for the future. Once we have accomplished the above mentioned features, we will dedicate a lot more time for translation, we also need your support for this.
Enhancing the engines
We have been trying to reach out to people like Wolfram Alpha so that we can improve iris's intelligence. These APIs come at a premium and hence we have to have a licensing agreement with them before we could start using them. If you want to suggest some API providers similar to WolframAlpha, let us know. We will explore the possibilities. We are really grateful to trueknowledge for providing us with awesome support during the initial days of heavy traffic. We are also using a custom Pandorabot to answer your question and engage in conversations.
In closing, I would love to hear from you. If you have any suggestions on any of the above mentioned features, just write to us, via mail, twitter or facebook.

I am working on a web service and thought it might be of interest to Windows 8 app developers out there, who might find the service useful and could even help testing it and offer advice on how to improve.
The product (codename Myelin, currently in alpha) brings powerful user feedback tools directly into your mobile apps. With just a couple of lines of code, you can integrate functionality that not only allows users to send comments directly to the dev, but also to track any replies and provide additional follow-up after the first submission. No private information (such as email address or account name) is ever shared, and no registration is required. It just works directly from the app.
Coming in the future are even more exciting features that make meaningful communication between the dev and the end user simpler and faster.
On the backend we have a feedback management portal that allows to monitor incoming feedback efficiently and manage any required follow-up in a bugtracking-like approach (think support tickets).
We have recently rolled out a client (== app plugin) for Windows 8 HTML apps, and would welcome devs willing to take it for a spin and give us feedback. BTW, XAML support is coming in the future; if you'd be interested, let me know and this work may move further up the priority list. XAML version for C#\VB Win8 apps is also available.
The service is currently free while it's in active development. While there are plans to eventually take it commercial, we will in any event be very accomodating to our early adopters.
You can read more at https://www.tfp0.com/s/windows8. If you're interested in learning more, reply here, PM, or just go ahead and sign up over at the website (we have plenty of spots available) to see what we have going there.
Below is a collage of various screens that the plugin introduces in the form of settings flyouts.

Since I've seen some offline interest in a XAML-based version, I wanted to note here that we did in fact roll out a version of the plugin for XAML.
In addition, both versions (HTML and XAML) are now available through NuGet as Timefork.DyneinXaml and Timefork.DyneinHtml .
Hello everybody,
We are a two member team with an application idea that we think could be useful for a lot of people. We have a list of features and a complete UI design plan. A video showing the features is also being created.
The application is intended to handle the notifications in a smarter way. To achieve that, we need a Google Chrome extension also. (Please notify us in your e-mail, whether you have already experience in developing Chrome extensions!).
With a simple and easy to use interface, this app is only intended for doing a few things, but doing those efficiently and fast.
We do not have a business, or any money. Our payment for a developer would be a % cut of the revenues, or we could try crowdfunding the idea. If it works out, we could partner up for future projects too, because we have an another app idea also (it is significantly bigger and much harder to make).
If you are interested in more details and UI design pictures, PM, or send an email to [email protected]
Please only write if you think that this idea has potential. If you have previous experience from developing an app, please include a link of that in your message.
Thank you!
Heya!
I'm looking for beta testers for the new version of my app, Pill-Fill. A couple interesting features:
Simple: It automatically imports your medications, doctors, and pharmacies from your pharmacy or insurance company. Easily input other RX and OTC medications by linking against a database of with more than 2 million drugs, doctors, and other clinical records.
Smart: It links each of your medications with FDA information, the prescribing doctor, the dispensing pharmacy. Automatically warns you about potential drug interactions, recalls, dosing problems, and more.
Secure: Available on all of your devices thanks to a client-encrypted and cloud-synced profile- No one (including myself) can access your information without your master password. (similar to LastPass)
And all of that's free. I've recently done a major redesign of the UI and would really like some feedback about usability and some of the other rough edges I've inevitably overlooked (I've been looking at the interface so long I'm a bit numb to it!)
Full Disclosure: I also just added a few in-app purchases to help offset the cost of the backend servers. If you're interested, I'm happy to enable any (or all) of the these to anyone that'd like to help with testing, just PM with your username/account once you're set up.
Google Calendar Integration: Your medication reminders privately synced to your google calendar. See medication reminders in Google Now and get automatic email and SMS notifications- even makes interesting functions like "Automatic Phone Call Reminders" or "Blink the Lights" possible when it's time to take your medication (via IFTTT integration)
Doctor's Prescribing Information: Access your doctors' hospital affiliations and see what medications they most commonly prescribe
Multi User Management: Manage up to 5 user profiles at once- Keep an account for your children or elderly parent/grandparent. Share
If you're game and live in the US, I'm using the standard G+ beta community (Pill-Fill Beta Testers: /communities/103148439231670270726)- Join up and get to downloading! If you're outside the US (or just dislike G+) and still would like to help, PM me and I'll send you a copy of the APK- though the US only functions (Doctor/Pharmacy links, Automatic import) won't work obviously.
Thanks!
Michael
