I've just got this new slate and ever since was trying to root it. I've done some research online but with my limited knowledge on this area, I couldn't find anything helpful.
Anybody here has been successful with this?? Can you show me how to get it done? Any help would be much appreciated.
Here's some information of the device I figured would be helpful:
Model number: Lenovo TB-7304X
Kernel version: 3.18.35
Build number: TB-7304X_S000027_170922_ROW
Software version: TB-7304X_RF01_170922
CPU: MediaTek MT8735D

I've still been researching since and found some new information. It seems that most Android Nougat devices still can't be rooted. I figure that I will have to wait a bit longer for something to open up
Did you achieve anything?
I tried using KingRoot to root it, but no luck. I doubt we will ever be able to root this device... :/
Up for this, this Tablet is Extremely Slow.... I guess that we could have find a another way how to customize this unit...

Hi guys!
I have an Asus ZE500KL that I successfully managed to root thanks to your precious help (I'm no techie, so you almost step-by-step threads are amazing!) but now I wanted to install a spy software on it. I tried Flexispy, Mspy and a couple others and I can't get any of them to work. I have another asus (a fonepad) in which they all work wonderfully.
Do any of you guys have a minute to explain what could possibly be the reason for it not working on my Asus ZE500KL? I have uninstalled the antivirus, granted root permission but I can't get any of them to work on that specific device.
I truly appreciate any hints or help I could get.

I have done that already only to find out that the support team does know about the software but not about specific device models and they were unable to find out why it worked so well on my asus fonead but didn't work on my asus laser ZE500KL.
That's why I thought someone here might know enough about the phone software to help me out. But I guess not.

What you want to know is whether or not it will WORK !! Good Question. Short answer - probably not completely but finding out what doesn't is the first step towards how to figure out the build that will. If you have plenty of good backups, awareness of how to get back to where you started from if it doesn't, and a willingness to hit the button, there is one sure way to find out. I have this EXACT problem. In the thread, there are a couple of fixes to try, and some files... but I don't have a single clue about what to do with them, how to "install" those fixes on my LOS 15.1 Galaxy S7. Im guessing I need an app on my phone to run and apply the changes... but I didn't find exactly how to.
I'm an experienced Windows sys admin, but I'm a total N00b as when it comes to Android. Was able to install Lineage OS 15.1 to my S7 after a lot of trial and errors (I'm even ashamed to tell you guys about that).
I want to learn to exploit the maximum of my phone, but I gotta start by making it work normal again.
Can you help me with this? I'm totally lost as how I can solve my Bluetooth problem with the thread linked a little earlier!

I don't have this device and i performed a quick search regarding it and had found the following...
This device is known (in one form or another) as the "Alcatel 3 Dual SIM LTE EMEA 5052D".
I also had found out the following, that's a great lead as to another way for a possible TWRP Recovery for this device.
This device has a "MediaTek MT6739" Chipset within it and, though there's sporadic information on the forum regarding this device by Make and Model, there's definitely another route you can go.
Try searching for information including (but, not limited to) TWRP for "MT6739", "MT67xx" and even simply "Mediatek Devices". Just be sure that the your positive, just by asking within said thread, that it's compatible for devices with the MT6739 OR MT67xx.
FYI... MT67xx = All Mediatek Variants that begin with "MT67".

MTKdroidTools won't see my device. "The device isn't revealed". So I can't extract the recovery.img and thus cannot proceed further.
Edit: Ah, I just saw it's not compatible with MT67XX...

MiracleBox doesn't work either. "None usbport, maybe driver not installed". I guess it's because it needs to be done without battery but my battery isn't replaceable...
BTW, bootloader is LOCKED. Should I unlock it?
