Best wayy to use N7 as Miracast receiver? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hi guys,
Been looking all over the forum without luck, and wonder if there is a efficient way to have the N7 as Miracast receiver?
At the moment running LOS15.1 + EX kernel, I don't mind flashing a different Rom and kernel btw.

Noone? Or any good alternative will be fine also (no data connection require)

Xperia Play as gamepad for Nexus 7?

Hey all, as the title suggests, Is it possible to use my Xperia Play as a gamepad for my nexus 7? seems like it would work somehow, but I have no Idea, and theres not much out there on google about the subject.
Thanks guys
Maybe this app will do that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.videomap.droidmoteclient&hl=nl (Client) and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.videomap.droidmoteserver&hl=nl (Server). I haven't tried this myself though.
Yes I did see this just before, but I have not rooted my Nexus 7 yet, and Im not sure If I want to as I wont be flashing any custom roms
How about this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=droidbean.btcontroller
I do not have any table to test, but i suggest using one of above apps with gamekeyboard.
The BT Controller app works great. I use my Play to play games and emulators on my Eee Pad SL101. The Bluetooth connection is more reliable than WiFi for the most part anyway.
If you have a ps3 controller you may pair the devices and works great.
Sorry for my English.

[Q] SlimPort HDMI Gaming Performance

Hello
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have read that there are performance issues when running games via a SlimPort to HDMI adaptor.
If this is the case I was wondering if it related to HDCP, or the type of ROM your running. I am currently running the latest official ROM, and would be interested in getting a cable only if there is not a issue. If anyone knows of a work around (that could include a different display type e.g. VGA, or installing a custom ROM) I would be grateful if you could let me know.
Thanks.

Miracast

Hi everyone,
I was buy Nexus 5x and I found, that it is not support Miracast. Is there any change to use Miracast without editing build.prop? Can you recommend me any alternative ROM where Miracast working and will be working for a long time?

issues with Miracast... help

Here's my problem/issue.what im trying to do is run the psp emulator "ppsspp" on my OP3 while using a wired (ps3 3rd party) controller while simultaneously mirroring my screen to my 48" Sony Bravia (KDL48R510C). Here are the steps Ive persued thus far.
When Im running any CM based rom (i.e RR 5.8.0)I get the controller to work but mirroring is not functioning as it should (is detecting and connecting but just a black screen with no audio either (same with CM's last nightly 14.1 and Stable snapshot cm13) so then I tried OOS 3.2.8 and I get the opposite situation. mirroring is working as it should but no controller detected (tried everything.. I have sixaxis controller, and sixaxis enabler (Pro) installed as well as Tincore Keymapper. No go in any and all iterations of Roms and Kernels will let me do both. So is it possible to take the file/folders that deal with mirroring (media routing) from stable OOS and replace the ones in RR CM with them? If so I have no idea which file/folder im looking for. I would think its in System>etc>somewhere. Any help feedback would be appreciated thanks

ROM w/ Functioning Miracast

Greetings,
First post, but been using XDA for a while for ROMs and mods.
Was looking for ROM recommendations. This query stems from issues I have had with Miracast functionality in all ROMs I have tried (Lineage, AOSCP/Cypher, Omni). While YouTube cast seems to work fine, I can't Miracast (/screen mirror) to non Chromecast devices (like my Roku and Samsung TV). This worked in OOS, however there are several reasons I'm not keen on OOS anymore (notably the lack of Vibrate mode).
Any recommendations on 7.x ROMs that have functioning Miracast? Another feature I would be interested in is customizable recent apps switcher -- I've grown quite fond of OmniSwitch.
Thanks in advance!
