Hi all, after I flash any rom (ressurection remix or lineage os 14.1) video lags in YouTube and there is no audio when it does play. Also Spotify has no audio and same with Facebook videos etc.
This is obviously a system wide thing so if someone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it as I can't use my phone for what id normally use it for. Many thanks in advance.
Hi, I have the same problem, only I am using stock rom 9.2.3.0 can't find any reason why this happened. All videos stutter with no audio. Before I updated to newest release it was all working.

Sorry for the late response but I have the solution worked perfect for me. Follow this and then reboot.

He means build prop editor too.
I have the same problem with LOS 16.
Unfortunately buildprop cannot find an attribute called audio.deep_buffer.media.
What else can I do?
Same problem happened to me yesterday (didn't hear the alarm clock cause there was no sound ). I'm on the same version of unofficial rr16 from 4 months and this issue began yesterday. If i reboot the phone the problem disappear for some time, then comes back again.
P.S. i don't have audio.deep_buffer.media in my build prop too
Lol you saved me. I am using a miui gsi right now, I also didn't have the prop. Simply download a root explorer like mixplorer, go to /system/build.prop and open it with text editor. Then add: audio.deep_buffer.media=false

Hi.
I installed the cyanogenmod 10. This is the 1st time I rooted the phone, unlocked bootleader, flashed rom and custom recovery and lot of things.
This is really a great build, even am able to play Granny Smith game, without lagging. I am just loving it. GPS was not working, but then after restart, everything is working fine. Dont know about panoramic camera or video issues.
But I want to know one thing. How can I enable media volume increase decrease widget in the lockscreen, while am listening to any song with earphones? I am attaching the screenshot of the same. I mean do I have to install some third party app for the same. I mean I want the same lockscreen to be displayed, with addition to the volume slider.

It's possible to install Cyanogenmod 10 on HTC One V?! I didn't see it on Cyanogenmod homepad.
Could you please send me the link for the rom that you downloaded and installed successfully. I'm having trouble with my original ROM too, very annoying.
Thank you very much! You would save my life for doing that!

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone else is having this problem? I got affected with this issue since last week. Tried flashing few roms, but apparently did not solve my audio issue. Hope it has nothing to do with the hardware speaker or mic. Whenever i tried to play music or video, the app would just crash. No matter where i'm playing from. Browser, Chrome, Gallery, Sound Recorder and everything else.
I've done all the necessary software changes, could it be a hardware issue that is causing this?
Roms that i've tried.

I have started to have problems with my Nexux 7 and the newest 6.x OTA update.
I cannot either stream or play the downloaded file. Streaming I get an error 0013.
I tried renaming/deleting the liboemcrypto.so file as suggested in anther thread here but I am running into some issues. First the file is no longer located in the /vendor/lib but now it it in the /system/lib folder
And when I try to rename and/or deleting (using ESS Explorer Pro), the file is back to its original name or location after a power off.
Any suggestions to rename the file?
Thanks
CM 14.1
Same problem here, but only with downloaded file.
The streaming problem was fixed by reverting back to an older Netflix APK, version 4.8.5 but that of course does not have the Download option. With the newer version of the APK I get a 102.2.6 error code. Looking at the Play Store comments it looks like quite a few people are having the same issue with streaming video.
Irefra, what version of the APK are you running?
Devices are rooted?
I see this problem on all the Nougat builds I have tried.
Either Netflix or Google Movies works and if Netflix works it won't download. Oddly it will download if it is broken, it just won't play the files.

The last version. Netflix 4.13.0 build 14540
Same problem
Same problem for me, with CM 14.1 (tried both unrooted and rooted device).
It seems that the video can lay until the quality starts to become better. I have the streaming quality set to AUTO; I also tried setting it to HIGH, and to LOW but the problem remains.
Using version 4.8.5 it seems that all is working fine.
Use 14.12.2

I called Netflix on January 25, 2017, and spoke with them about 4.13 not being able to mirrorcast.
They said it has been reported by several already.
I went back to 4.12.2 and downloads and mirrorcast work for me. Just cannot use external SDcard feature that was introduced in 4.13.
A bit different , but I use Plex, and 6.0.1 official OS and 7.1.1 lineage os both are working smoothly. It streams just nice.
Same her, stream works fine. But when i play downloaded files > Error 102.2.6. Any new solution or workaround?

idem, you solved?
nope
If you want to run Netflix, you need to run an older version of NetFlix. The ROM developer for Pure Nexus created a signed version (I think avoids you receiving app updates). Here's a link to the download: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862715472 Thank the developer (his ROM and any other info is located here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/development/rom-pure-nexus-substratum-t3576447 ).

Solution:
I found a way to solve it.
1. root mi 5s
2. download 'buildprop' from play store
3. Probably the first 'audio.deep_buffer.media' in 'AUDIO' is 'True'
4. Change 'True' to 'False'
then the problem is solved.
Hey,
I have a problem with my Mi5S. Videos and audios does not play properly.
When I try to play a video or audio there is a strange buzzing sound, videos stutter and audios stuck between 0:00 and 0:01.
This is happening at almost all apps (Gallery, youtube, facebook, instagram...) only exceptions I notice are browsers and x-plore video player
I uploaded screen record of the problem. First I open youtube app there is problem. Second I open chrome there is no problem.
I first encounter this problem after I installed TWRP and LineageOS. I updated LOS one week later and problem was gone but it came back. I thought this was a bug of LOS. Ive tried installing dolby drivers. Ive wiped dalvic cache, cache and data. Reinstalled LOS. Ive installed Resurrection Remix. But non of them work.
Please help what can cause this problem and how can i solve this?

You probably have the wrong firmware. Try flasher older Firmware. That's all mine was
Try firmware 8.1.4, Luk told that that is oldest FW that is supported.
Or flash 8.3.15 latest one.

And i have a last question for you, which rom on Android 8.1 do you think is the best for my mi5s ?
Im lost of the pletory of roms available...
Well they say that Atomic has best battery life, LOS is getting fix for restarts and battery drain with todays build.
Also, from recent posts best DEV FW is 8.3.1 or STABLE FW 9.5.1.0 if you are going to LOS15.1.
I am still on Viper OS, and I am waiting a little bit more on 8.1 roms to iron out small issues and quirks
I'm back unfortunately... My problem is back... When I boot my phone I've no problem I can read all videos but after 1or2 hours on, my problem come back ! I don't do one thing specially and I don't really know what to do now..
I tried to install the last CN firmware 8.3.8, tell me if I did something wrong, ty for your time.
NO DATA LOSS - NO NEED TO CHANGE ROM - NO NEED FOR ALTERING PROP FILE
You need to have a custom recovery (TWRP etc.)
1. Download the latest firmware (or anyone you like) from the link. https://basketbuild.com/devs/yshalsa...obal/capricorn
2. Flash it using custom recovery. THATS IT!
This does not effect your current rom it only changes some files (as you can guess from the size of file)
I have this problem on my Poco F1. I did all I could jumping from one rom to another, clean flashing miui roms to start with but nothing worked. What only works is an outdated version of a custom rom based on LOS. Also tried all the solutions in this thread but nothing worked. If someone is facing the same issue, your help will be truly appreciated. I cannot update my phone because of this damn issue.

I tried all custom roms possible and no one have sound, only with earphones.

Thanks.
I have the same phone and have discovered the same problem after flashing any of the Android 11 custom ROM. No sound from speaker/ringer/media (except headphone jack). I found one suggested solution here, the last reply to the AOSPK ROM thread. The solution was to place 4 files into vendor/etc. I tried that and sure enough I got sound back with those ROMs but it broke the phone call function, couldn't make calls, dialers just ended call as soon as I tried to connect. Maybe this will work for someone else. Maybe someone else has a better solution. I'll try just replacing one file at a time and see if I can figure it out. If you find a solution let us know.

Oh and the easiest way to get back to stock is to use the Motorola Rescue assistant tool here. Just put your phone into bootloader mode and the Motorola tool will detect the phone, download the latest stock firmware and restore the phone.
Okay, I found the fix. From stock I installed AOSPExtended ROM from the Moto G6 Play forum. Initially everything seemed to work but no audio.
The fix reported in my last post, linked to the Telegram group was:
"For sound, add these 4 files to vendor/etc"
mixer_paths.xml
audio_platform_info.xml
audio_platform_info_jeter_p0.xml
mixer_paths_jeter_p0.xml
"
Copying all 4 files caused audio to work but cell calling broke.
Copy only the first 2 files without 'jeter_p0' in the name and audio was fixed and nothing else broke. Happy now. I assume this will fix the same problem with all the Android 11 roms I installed that caused this problem.
