Disassembly after bootloop fix - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if someone could help me with these doubts I have, so:
A few days ago I was able to root and fix my Nexus 5x after it had begun going into an infinite bootloop. I used 4CoresOreo.img (as the first suggested image I tried didn't work) and TWRP as well.
Now, as my phone already had a problem with the proximity sensor and is quite ruined, what if I disassemble it to change the screen? Will it factory reset erasing my rooting effort? Will it go back to the bootloop of death?
Thanks so much to anyone who'll waste some time answering my noob questions!

Solved: disassembly didn't affect the rooting

[Q] What should I do in case of semi-brick?

I rooted my HTC One X and unlocked the bootloader with HTCDev earlier this year. Recently I have had this problem with the phone where it bugs out. Sometimes in the middle of using the phone the screen will turn off and on showing the unlock screen while the Home buttons pulsate white.
So I did a factory reset and the phone seemed to work quite well not as buggy. After I had to revive it by leaving it on the charger for a couple hours.
I also have clockwork recovery still installed and I made a back up image that you guys talk about. The boot.img which I made after I rooted and facotry reset it. I don't think you can even get the boot img without it have that recovery program.
My question is should I try and mess with it some more? Should I re root it? I just want it function with out breaking now is my goal.
And is there any way to hide that whole "This is HTC software... do not distribute " message that comes up when I boot the phone? Because I know this voided my warranty but if I could get rid of that message my warranty is through a third party so I might be able to get a replacement if I can get that boot message off.
After re rooting it it seemed to calm down and the frequency of restarting was down significantly.
Now after a week, it is starting to restart again. Should I of flashed the kernel? I see that throw around a lot here in these forums but I don't know if it pertains to my situation. Anything help would be appreciated.

[Q] no permanent changes to the memory?

hi guys,
my problem is that my nexus reboots randomly every few minutes. I've googled and i tryed a lot, but i think that my problem is another. First of all, i tell you what i've even tryed:
In the time when my nexus is completey bootet I tryed to remove the latest app. If the phone does not reboot in the meanwhile I hoped that after a normal reboot the app will be deleted. BUT after every restart all my apps are still there, even some other changes on the settings or something like that. After the next reboot everything is the same as before (before this strange thing happend)
So i tought that maybe flashing the ROM will help. But there is also the same problem. I did everything to unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery with fastboot. BUT there is the same problem, no changes on the bootloader will be saved, even the bootloader is locked again after reboot. And of course the recoverymod is also not changed/saved.
So now is my question: is this probably an issue of bricked hardware like the memory-manager-unit? I don't have any other ideas I can try to figure out whats going on (or not) on this phone. But before I'll give it to repair I will eliminate the possibility that this is a software issue. So does someone have an idea what else i can do?
Thanks to all answers,
Helme
your emmc is fried if you unlocked your bootloader and it restarted and said it was locked.
im pretty sure there is nothing you can do to fix
I have the exact same issue... is there no way to fix this ?
For emmc repair, check out mobiletech videos.com. They also have a YouTube channel.

[Q] New, and trying to learn with chinese tablet.

Greetings everyone. I bought a Proscan PLT7044-k tablet to use as a chromecast remote, but doesn't work out how i planned. Anyway, I started messing around with it, bricked it, and figured out how to unbrick it through putting the original firmware back on it. THAT got all this Android stuff real interesting to me. Now, where my brain gets stumped at is putting CWM on this thing, so I can put custom ROMs on it and play with it more. I have tried EVERYTHING that I can find on google and all of the forums, nothing has worked! There is no bootloader, at least I'm pretty sure there isn't. I can't get into fastboot. When I try to rebbot into any kind of recovery or bootloader mode, I get a black screen. Rebooting into recovery mode just shuts my tablet off.. This has stumped me for about 3 weeks now. Endless nights of frustration just to get CWM! uugghh!! Can anyone help!? I know it's an older tablet, so I'm hoping someone figured it out a long time ago. Thanks folks, in advance. Whatever I need to paste on here for you guys/gals to see, just ask.
This is the wrong section to ask, there's no porting involved if you got an android device. youd get more replies in a more general section

Touch screen non operational after flashing latest Eragon

Hi you clever people, I wonder if anyone had any ideas or pointers please. I've been on an older Eragon for some time and decided to update the other day, went to Eragon 9.9 and afterward touch screen was inoperative. Power button seems to respond with a delay also. It's complaining about anti-theft too (I had set that up a long time ago and can't get rid). Anyway I can get into recovery no problem (Philz) done every reset you can imagine and no improvement. Used the flashtool and original rom and the fault is still apparent so I'm stuck now. Is this destined for the bin?
Thanks for reading.

Encryption doesn't work

Hello guys,
I have a problem encrypting my mobile phone. I've just installed Lineage and Gapps and now I wanted to start encryption because it was supposed to be unencrypted (as can be seen in the attachment).
My phone is fully charged and plugged in. I started the process and it also shuts down. Then the Android logo appears, but only for 2 seconds and the phone reboots into Lineage.
I've already tried to find solutions, but unfortunately without success.
I hope someone can help me.
I should mention that I'm not a developer or programmer. But I understand the simplest things and step-by-step instructions are no problem either. So I would be very grateful if you would explain things to me as simply as possible.
Regards,
reynex
