Shot in the dark I guess but since I got this device, Snapchat has been terribly laggy and almost unusable. Specifically when using the keyboard for text. Sometimes when I launch it, the camera is just black for roughly 5 seconds and then the back camera comes on finally. The chat feature is very slow at times and the entire app seems to stall and crash at least once a day. Anyone else notice this?
A quick google search yielded several recent topics on various forums complaining about the same thing, all on 6.0 Marshmallow. Hopefully it's not just this device.
I'm getting this exact thing
I went through that too. Once I had to restart it to make the camera work again. My tip is do not try use volume keys until it load completely. It just frozen the app in a black screen. Isn't perfect but can be used.
It's probably not optimized as well for 6.0 yet
Snapchat hasn't been perfect for me, but I've never experienced any of those issues. The worst I get is a little delay when pressing the home button.

I have had this problem we will have to wait for an update!! Basically that's what I've been telling myself lately about marshmallow

I can tell you guys I had this problem on my Nexus 6 on Marshmallow, it has to be something related to 6.0, I'm on a LG G4 now and snapchat runs just fine.
Kinda laggy for me too. And I can't get it to play a notification sound when I recieve snaps. I have turned it on in settings and I get a notification as normal, but no sound. Does anyone else have this problem?
Just uninstalled it from the n5x will have to limit myself to using it on n72013 it was unusable. Crashes camera failed to load then started to affect the stock camera app, would cause system crashes and could only be sorted with a reboot.
Same here its completely horrible to use of this phone. Phone ****s itself every time I try use it!

The app has been perfectly fine for me, up until the update I got yesterday. Now I see exactly what everyone is talking about....it's completely unusable now.
Our of curiosity...are you guys all encrypted?

Ok never mind then. I've been decrypted since I got the phone, until I took an OTA recently. It's been crap since then, but I guess it's unrelated

stock & encrypted and snapchat runs like poo for me. shame because its one of my most used apps :/
Well again Snapchat just updated, and now I'm back to it working fine again....

The past few updates have been good for me luckily.. Just don't try to send a snap while in landscape, I tried to add text and Swiftkey went all wonky and overlayed the screen even after I pressed Home, had to force close Snapchat and Swiftkey both :/
me too I have same issues the lag and so slowly for texting and even after update marshmallow update 6.0.1 the problem still the same I hope can anyone help me with issue what should to do and thanks you
So I am a power snapchat user and had this same problem and might have accidentally stumbled on a possible solution after having a login failure. I enabled the travel mode so it's not downloading constantly. I installed snapprefs and I can't explain why but it's flying now. No lag on window switching or opening the camera. I'm on 6.0.1 December rooted
Everytime I take video from Snapchat, it produces the sound "dug" at the first second of the video, never put my finger too hard on the phone so it isn't bcs of my finger knocking the screen, anybody know why?

As the title says (*kills). Sound working ok and after the update when I don't use the tablet for a while sound goes off for all the system. I reboot it and after the reboot it works. But several minutes later the sound is dead again. Any one with this issue???
This is so f..king annoying.
Thanks!!
Edit: kills the mic too.
Edit2: while it's charging through the charger it seems, even letting it a while locked, that sound doesn't go off. Really Google? So fuc..d up developers you have?

No problems here with the update.
All good here too
Mine is also fine on the new update.
Could be a bad flash. Try flashing the factory image and seeing if that helps.
Don't have a USB C cable and I won't buy one for this ****ty tablet. I spend 500€ to work my ass out to make this thing run okay? Hell no. Rooted and unlocked all my Android devices, not this one guys. It's really annoying. A month a go my nexus 6 battery died. Do you know how many years my Galaxy SIII worked before saying good bye? 5 years.
Back on topic. Safe mode won't help, sound even does not comes up at start. Factory reset won't help, issue persists. Only when charging sound wont go off.

Maybe you have a bad device?
Never seen that issue on mine or on wife's, but my sample size is 2 ....

Yes post it in google forums products and obvious answer came up like "safe mode", bla, bla, bla.
Already done an RMA. I won't bother myself doing anything else than updating via OTA with this Google device.
Thankfully the Google representative was really really nice and did all the tedious work a pleasure
Same here. Sound won't work after a while. Reboot helps.
No errors during flashing the factory image. Even the keyboard upgrade worked flawlessly.
Sound Issue
I had a sound issue yesterday on my tablet, which may or may not be the same thing.
No media sounds coming out of the speakers, even though the volume was turned up high, odd thing was notifications still seemed to work - i.e. calendar reminders still made the notification sounds and trying to change notification sounds also played the sounds as usual.
Grabbed my headphones and plugged them in and media sound was OK - removed headphones again and speakers were back.
I had been been using my tablet to watch movies on a flight back home with my headphones and assume that for some reason the tablet did not identify the removal event - so still had the speakers blocked!!
No errors too when flashing my unit. But there the problem was.
Regarding about plugging headphones in and out, and reverting sound back to normal, did not work for me. But when sound was working after restart and headphones were plugged, before every media sound was played a clacking noise appears.

I came here to post the same issue. At first I thought it was a third party app, however it is not. I'm currently in contact with Nexus Support and will update when I have an answer.
Edit: contacted Google Support and, of course, trouble shooting came down to a factory reset. I will try this and update if the issue was resolved.
Didn't work for me

I'm experiencing the lost sound problem. Please let us know if the problem returns on your new unit. Haven't decided whether to RMA mine.

Update here was working flawlessly. I activated Google now when screen off and issue returned. Seems to be software. But I don't understand why the factory reset on the other unit didn't fixed it. Try turning that option off.

I thought this had happened to me too but then after reading through this and someone mentioned audio blocking I remembered that I had this button called Pressy installed in my headphone jack, once I removed it, the sound worked again!

Just updated after putting it off after a few days, everything is sluggish and feels terrible.
Very laggy.
Before, everything was perfect.
Anyone else?

I realized it only happened under 50%, never happened to me before. Seems to be a common problem. I enrolled in beta, and I'll see if that fixes the problem. I saw that replacements are having the same problem, so there's no use.
Its the update. Same situation, a lot of lag

Seems to be new DP2 update for our devices since today https://www.xda-developers.com/andr...ve-for-nexus-6p-nexus-5x-nexus-9-and-pixel-c/
Let's try
Glad to see (well not really...sucks to have random issues) other than my wife's tablet...its been driving her nuts lately with it getting laggy and all the random reboots. I was tempted to sign up for the beta OTA but I don't want to hear it from here when something else doesn't work.
For those who tried or are part of the OTA beta program, has the random rebooting be corrected?

You could always flash the October image. The only downside is the constant, non-dismissable notification that a System Update is Available.

I could but I've been doing a little testing and have disabled Bluetooth on the tablet and it seems to be OK...as in not randomly rebooting.
I'll wait patiently for the next patch in hopes that Google corrects the standing issues.

Install a custom 8.1 ROM or go back to OOS 7.1.1.
Its absolutely ridiculous that OnePlus still hasnt addressed and fixed this issue in any of their 8.0.0 software. Three betas and two official firmwares later and such a basic function used by many is still broken with no fix in sight. Im actually surprised at how few people bring this issue up....seems everyone is SETTLING.:cyclops:

Maybe the screen protector quality is not good and you're facing this issue. I also faced this issue and I was fed up and removed the screen protector. My friend suggested a Gadgetshieldz protector which is better because after applying this screen protector I didn't face the issue again.

No, I dont think its the screen protector.
Today I had the exact same problem that you are showing in the video.
But not only on the middle of the screen. I also had this problem in the lower right corner of the screen when trying to send a whatsapp audio message. I could not hold down the record button. It always canceled the recording... Very annoying!
I installed a touchscreen test app from the playstore and it clearly showed that the screen has issues!
I already wanted to send it back to the shop where I bought it.
But then I thought about restarting the device...
And it worked!!
All touchscreen problems disappeared after restart!
Very strange. I googled the topic and we dont seem to be the only users which have these kind of screen problems. Looks like a lot of different Xiaomi devices have screen issues...
I hope the problem does not come back.
Did you try to restart already?
Did it solve your issue?
My Redmi note 10 pro has a similar issue with the scrolling.
I restarted the phone and it seemed to resolve it. I also noticed the phone was heating up more than usual when performing normal things like browsing and FB.
I felt the volatile memory may have gotten congested.

I hope its only a software problem.
Which software version have you installed on your Redmi Note 10 Pro?
My Mi 11 Lite 4G has:
MIUI-Version 12.5.5.0
Android version 11 RKQ1.200826.002
I never had these problems on my Mi 9 Lite. (MIUI 12.0.10 and Andriod 10)

one day it was solved automatically. Mi 11 lite display is the worst quality.
The problem of Black Crush still remains. They claim that it is a 10-bit display panel, but have never seen such poor quality AMOLED displays.
