I need help rooting my LG G3. I can't get the one-click root to work, stump root, purpledrake, ioroot, and just about every other app I could find. Any suggestions? I have an LG VS985 4G VZW VS9854CA

Take a look at this first if there is not k in your variant then you can downgrade. https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/help/vs9854ba-root-downgrading-t3575145
If your variant does not have a K then downgrade then root and then install what you want.

I got the verizon lg g3 yesterday, and tried to root it this morning without luck. I'm running software version vs98511c. I've tried Towelroot , Stump. Stump said that my phone is already patched, sorry, and towlroot just hangs, and does nothing. Is this software version rootable? Thanks
Downgrade to V10B using this guide and then root it with IOroot. In IOroot is stated: VS985 - 10B. Blocked on 10C and up. So thats the reason why you need to downgrade.
Thanks. Will do.

Thank you. This answered my question as well.
Hi all,
Is there any information on successfully rooting 6.01 on LG G3. I tried a few of the rooting apk's and they don't work.
Try flashing the stock KitKat tot file first. Then root/install TWRP.

Kingroot for desktop, still have to find a phone it cannot root. Give it a try, its chinese but pretty straight forward. Find the official Kingroot thread here at XDA.
Hi guys.
My Android lg g3 is on 5.0.0 and I'm using one click root and it completes the process however then i use root checker and it says I'm not rooted.
LG G3 D855
The issue arose when I unrooted my phone and went back to root it. Lg one click root worked the first time. I used lg flash tool to unroot. Please help.
If you are on CM, you have to enable it in Developer settings. Are you running stock?
I'm trying to root my LG G3 but there are no root methods for an LG G3 running marshmallow. I have tried One-Click methods like ioroot, towelroot, and kingroot, but for some reason, my device just won't get root access. Now, im trying to downgrade the system and try out the various root methods available. Can anyone can point me to a good tutorial on how to downgrade the system? I have the T-Mobile D851 model but on At&t network.
Thanks.
