[PROBLEM] - Fingerprint sensor not working - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I'm currently on AEX 4.6, everything is running smoothly but all of the sudden my fingerprints sensor is not working as well as the slide options. The actual button works. It clicks so I'm managing to use the phone normally but no u-touch function. I've already tried different roms and nothing seems to work. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I'm afraid it's a hardware problem.

I'm glad to say that I found the solution for this problem on another thread. The sensor driver might have had an issue, so installing it again will solve the malfunction. After all it wasn't a real hardware problem. Just download the file I'm sending and restart your phone so it'll come back to life again

PS: it didn't work at first with me. So I sort of gave up then I tried another time and it worked.

Camera has stopped working

The camera on my HTC Excalibur has stopped working. It's not just the camera button, because the button still works as SYM. I get absolutely no response when I try to run Camera.exe as well.
I am using 3VO.3.50.033010 ROM. However, I have tried a couple of earlier ROMs and had the same malfunction.
Any help is appreciated.

Probably is hardware , since you have flash other roms and hard reset
hey could you fix the issue? Im having the same problem, I tried using the camera and a pop up came up saying it could not load the camera, i can use the camera since. I already did a softreset...
thanks!

Do a hard reset and see if that helps
Little late, but continuing...
I had almost given up on the issue, but since I found this topic, just wanted to try.
So, my camera stopped working. First, partially, showing this message that it couldn't be loaded, then completely. After all soft and har resets I tried, all ROMs flashed, nothing seems to have helped. Any idea on what I should do? Should I just assume I can't fix it?!
Do you have other problems with the device, e.g. run out of power easily?
Can you still operate WLAN well?
Often the battery of older devices is aging and slowly getting dead.
If not, then:
As already proposed: try hard-rest first.
If you are on a cooked ROM: try with a shipped ROM.
If that does not help you may need to dis-assemble the device (not easy) and clean up the connector from the camera to the PBA. Still not helping: replace the camera - or the device.
So...
well, as you mentioned, my battery is easily out of power, but i guess the problem is the cellphone cause the two last batteries i recently bought have no difference in performance to the one that came with the phone itself. after 8h it usually discharges completely. disassembling is something i'm not sure i'm doing, but, thanks for your reply!

[Q] Microphone Issue

Hello xda members! I have been experiencing a strange problem with my "T-Mobile G2"'s microphone and would like to share it with you in case you had any insight on it:
My phone's microphone is not working - I cannot use voice input, music recognition services, etc. all it picks up is silence. What makes it a "strange" problem? Well, the microphone will work during calls, but ONLY IF I first snap out the keyboard and then snap it back in! Sometimes the microphone will fade out and then go silent again, at which point I'll open/close the keyboard again so that the other party can hear me again.
I thought it was software at first, but then I flashed it to stock and still had the same issue. Now I'm worried it might be a problem with the ribbon cable that connects the two halves. Have any of you ever heard of a similar problem? Any suggestions as to how I might fix it?
If it is intermittent and you reflashed then my guess would be hardware like you suggested.
Most likely you mic is loose. Does it behave the same as opening and closing if you just hit it or shake it?

Thanks for the replies, I honestly didn't expect any! Interesting thing.. I flashed MIUI yesterday and now it feels like the problem is fixed. I've noticed a slight lag before the mic responds the first few times but now it's spot on. I don't see why flashing to stock didn't fix it while flashing to MIUI did so I think it's just a coincidence and that this is still a hardware issue.
I'll try and poke around explore this more when I get more time.

Yup I did use superwipe.
Incidentally, the issue returned after 2 days of working perfectly. Doing a wipe and then installing that same ROM fresh (not a backup) did not fix it so that new most likely ROM had nothing to do with it. I'm giving up then and calling this a hardware issue, period. I guess it's a good thing that the HTC One phones are are coming out soon!

vibrating motor problem

Sorry guys for this annoying question that you guys probably faced. But I actually looked and researched for the solution, because it was different from mine. I even replaces my vibrating motor, but it still isn't working. I don't know what the problem is. I reset my phone like 10 times, of course tried different roms (My phone's rooted by the way), I tried everything in the settings. I don't know what the problem is, so if there is a post that fix this problem or if anyone knows the solution to this, that would be great.
What is your actual problem. You've said what you've tried but not whats happening. I assume you mean the vibration/haptic feedback isnt working. And if you have tried multiple roms then all i could suggest is a full ODIN to stock otherwise its a hardware problem. And if you replaced the motor already then its probobly deeper

[Q] Touchscreen problem

Hi everyone,
TL;DR: I have an issue with the touchscreen of my Find 7 qhd (x9076), while on any other ROM than stock it my touchscreen glitches or something.
After installing a custom Rom, like PA, Dirty unicorns, CM, Nameless or any other available for this device (I believe I've tried all of them). The device works just like it should, nothing wrong with the touchscreen. But after like half a day, it starts to 'glitch'. Sensitivity is very low, when I press here it detects a press somewhere else.
I've got a temporary solution which is wiping the cache in recovery, then it works for a short period of time, but then it starts gliching again..
On stock rom the issue doesn't exists, but I realy do want to use a custom one.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Or maybe someone who has a solution?
Thanks in advance!
P.s every install is a full wipe, tried multiple recoveries, non-unified
I've read that the touchscreen fixes implemented by Oppo only work on ColorOS even though ROM makers have already implemented the fixes into the Roms. I'm not sure why, though

Hmm that's unfortunate, but it seems to me that I am one of a few people having trouble with this? Why don't other x9076 users have this problem?

Try to flash back stock recovery then flash COS 1.20 in systembase, then upgrade to COS 1.25, Then upgrade to 2.0 or above. Then flash custom recovery and rom again. This is the step you will not have problem in custom Rom. I am 100% sure.

I have the same problem, and I'm running Stock OS.
v2.1.4i Beta
This is how I bought the phone, interesting that it reads Beta...
I've updated to the latest firmware and still having touch screen sensitivity issues.
Someone has got too have some advise.... Oppoooooo.....
TouchScreen Auto Test - FAIL
I did the TouchScreen Auto Test and showed FAIL. Has anyone else shown this error?
Hi, I am having exactly same touch screen problem with custom roms, have tried both Omni and crDroid.
Is there a solution for this? I didn't have this problem in COS before.
What's the auto test?
I‘m on COS 2.1.5I and sensitivity works ok so far. I did have auto brightness problems but xposed and gravitybox has helped me adjust a lot of that out. Now it doesn‘t over dim in low light.
Auto test in COS is ok, I only had this problem in custom Roms, COS worked smoothly,so I reckon it's could be driver issue in custom Rom, maybe there are new fix for some panels are not included in custom Rom.
I never had any problems with touchscreen on find 7 until now. I have been extremely satisfied with this device until now. I have the find 7 9076.
There is a lengthy discussion of this touchscreen problem on the oppo forums.
My opinion is, it has nothing to do with the rom or firmware. It is a physical problem caused by heat. Once overheated, the digitizer gets somehow damaged.
I left my phone on a table in direct sunlight for hours while working on my lawnmower. I noticed it got very hot to touch. Ever since then my touchscreen has problems where there were no problems for 2 years prior. Dead spots, phantom touches and behaves sluggish in certain spots. Upper screen in portrait.
I tried wiping and reinstalling. Nothing works to fix this.
I even tried sealing it in a ziplock bag and freezing it. This actually works but its only temporary. The digitizer got damaged from heat. There is no "software" fix.
The only solution I can see is to physically replace the digitizer. This is a difficult thing to do but can be done.
I am considering replacing replacing the entire screen along with the digitizer as this is much easier but the problem is getting the high res replacement. Most after market screens are not equal to oppo's. The cost of OEM is too high.
Shame because this problem makes me now shy away from oppo devices.
Okay,
I opened up the phone.
Set to try and pry off/seperate the digitizer and replace with new one.
Decided to try something first.
Unplugged the digitizer and held power button (to release any stored up energy in the phone). Resnapped in digitizer cable to connector.
Reassembled the phone.
Put battery back in. Rebooted.
Sure enough, its all working. The full touchscreen is working with no dead spots or glitches.
For how long? Who knows?
Keeping this thing out of the heat.

[Q] Auto-Rotating and Proximity sensor are not working

my device is LG-G3-D855.
after upgrading the software to android 5.0 from LG PC Suit, and after a day passed, I noticed that my auto-rotation is not working, and the proximity sensor is not responding during a call and the screen remains active.
I tested the sensors through hidden menu and saw that they are actually working and they are not stocked.
what is the solution? is it a software problem?
I also did downgrade the OS to the stock one and the problem still remains.
I'm sorry I am not able to help, but I am able to tell you I came to the forums today to post the exact same issue.
I had been using Liquid and CM12 for a while and my proximity sensors and brightness sensors (as well as screen turning off when I bring phone to my ear) were not working. I simply assumed it was an AOSP problem.
I just recently flashed the new stock lollipop rom that's on the development forum and I am having the same problem still. I do not know how to fix it and I'm hoping someone out there can help us!
edit: everytime I try to recalibrate the proximity sensor in settings, settings 'unexpectantly closes'

Have you had any luck on finding a solution to this? I've been in the same boat for a couple months now.

Dang, same thing on my end. I've tried several different Roms/Kernels and still nothing. If I find a solution, I'll be sure to let you know!
Bump
Im having this issue as well. Anyone?
I've just resolved the same issue. No matter ROM I flashed to my LG G3 all the sensors were gone. The only thing it fixed that was flashing TOT using lg flash. More details on : htt ps: //forum.xda-developers. com/showthread .php?t= 2785089
ADD: The updated method worked for me NOT the original one.
Fingers crossed.
