I have a Verizon LG G3 VS985 running Android 6.0. I'm travelling out of the country and would love to unlock the sim card so I can get a sim card in the place I'm traveling to without paying the obscene amount Verizon requires. I've seen there is a number to call to enter a lock code for the ATT, T-Mobile, and D8** models of the phone, but nothing for the VS985.
Is there a way to unlock this phone?
Saw on Reddit that the Sim slot is already unlocked in the VS985? Can someone confirm?

Yes they are.
Evil Samsung does not sell dual sim models in Australia... Is there a way to use two sims in their single sim phones? Was this ever possible with S7 and S8 phones?
I have an international model S7 edge but decided to get an Australian S9+ because they receive better service and support here, well, actually I broke the screen of that S7 edge, again, and the repairing cost by a 3rd party just made it pointless, all because Samsung Australia won't repair it for me (for a more reasonable A$210) for it is an international model (UAE).
If this is technically possible, best case scenario I just need to find a correct SIM tray?
You can use two different SIMs if the phone is not locked to a particular network.
However, if the phone is not Dual SIM, you will not manage to use both cards at the same time.

So you are saying the hardware is there, but the software won't allow me to use both SIMs at the same time?
I take it as flashing dual SIM ROM would not only void warranty, but beats the purpose of buying an authentic local market device in the first place?

No, what I mean is that you can use two SIM by switching them and having only one at a time inserted in the phone.
If the phone is not dual SIM, you can have two SIM cards working on it only if the phone is a Hybrid Dual SIM.
If the phone is SINGLE SIM, you can't do anything about it.
Hope that this answers your question.
I'm very sorry to disturb you by posting on the forum.
I would like to ask a question: How can I unlock(SIM) the T-mobile version of Moto Z2 Force?
Our family is a poor family living in rural China. My mother works in Shenzhen to maintain the life of our family.
She has not updated her mobile phone for two or three years.
Before the Lunar New Year, she bought a T-mobile version of the Moto Z2 Force from a second mobile phone merchant in Shenzhen as a gift to my grandmother.
But the businessman cheated on her because he sold it to my mother a smart phone with a network lock. The SIM card of the Chinese operator cannot be used on this mobile phone.
My mother is very sad because of this thing.
Because the flow of the roadside merchant is very large, we can no longer find the merchant who sold the smartphone to my mother.
I then contacted the T-mobile operator, whose customer service center asked us to provide information about the T-mobile buyer in order to unlock the smartphone. However, we cannot provide information about the purchaser because we purchased it from a second-hand channel.
Therefore, I would like to ask a question: How to unlock(SIM) the T-mobile version Moto Z2 Force?
My English is very poor. These words are translated by Google. I am very sorry if there is something wrong.
Thank you all.
t-mobile unlock?
You are lucky that you have the T-Mobile model.
Follow these instructions that I put together:

Good luck!

Read his post again. He wants to Sim unlock.
You just told him to do something he doesn't need to do.
@PDQL the T-Mobile version can only be Sim unlocked with the device unlock app while connected to the T-Mobile network. There is no way to hack the app.

Right. After the bootloader unlock it goes through setting the 0000 permissions on id_00 which should sim unlock his phone.
Do you have a better idea for him? Is the T-Mobile software still going to block the sim after this? If so he can flash the retail software and voila, no more lock.

After reading all of your link I see what you're saying. However your pictures are in English, the OP used Google translate to write their post, that will translate the words in your link but not the screen pictures which describe the part they need.

You have to use the unlock app on the phone and if that dont work you have to contact t-mobile and they can unlock the sim lock, BUT they WILL NOT unlock it if the phone has an outstanding bill owed on the phone from the previous owner. Unlocking the bootloader has nothing to do with sim unlocking I unlocked my bootloader same day i got my phone but had to call t-mobile to get the sim lock removed.....
Try Taobao.
试试淘宝。 应该有很多店家能远程解锁

Anybody used Dual SIM Tray (bought on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress) on unlocked T-Mobile OnePlus 7T? I am planning to buy phone from eBay and wanted to check if using dual SIM tray is possible...
Not possible without flashing the international firmware which I don't think the tool is out yet to do so. If you want dual SIM I'd suggest but the international version and NOT T-Mobile variant. Hope this helps.
The post on how to convert to International Firmware has been up for over a month. I used it and am now on International Firmware. I don't have the dual tray yet but it has been ordered. And I am confident that dual SIM will work as I can already see mention of it in certain apps. Apps that made no mention of it before the conversion.

Could you share the link where you bought and your feedback is good?
Short answer: yes, doing this now. Just grabbed the cheapest one on amazon (was $6 but the seller has since sold out).
Unless the tmobile variant you're buying is already bootloader unlocked, it's critical that it's permanently sim-unlocked. That should generally also mean that the phone was fully paid off (although not the case if unlock was obtained from mobbdeep here). Do also know that it will take 7 days to get your bootloader unlock bin after submitting the request.
All in all, unless it's a terrific deal and you can be sure / chance it being fully paid off, not reported stolen, permanently sim-unlocked, and you're capable of flashing to global firmware, you're probably better off getting the regular hd1905 variant.

I bought it from here: Link
So far I have not been able to actually insert it into the phone. The tray looks like it should fit but I can't seem to work it in. I gave it about 20 seconds and then went off on a different project. I will look at it again this weekend.

You are correct. And I did use Mobbdeep for my SIM Unlock. And, of course, the Bootloader unlock for International Firmware install from O+.
Were you able to insert the tray into the phone?

Please clarify if you have just an unlockted TMo OP7T with a dual SIM tray OR if you have flashed the phone to an international ROM?
If it is the former, I assume you are able to use both SIMs. Can you do voice, text and data on both SIMs?
PS: Please share a link/name from where you purchased the dual SIM tray. Thanks.

That's what I read and thought/knew. I guess the framing of the comment threw me off.
For those who have migrated the TMo phone to the Global ROM, please share if voice, text and data is functional on both SIMs. I have read WiFi calling and other stuff works but was not sure of data. Would be also helpful to find out where you purchased the dual SIM tray....just so I can buy from the same seller and be assured of the fit.
i flashed the international rom and bought the dual sim tray off amazon everything worked fine calls texts data at least for me
I am using TMO 7T unlocked rooted converted to Int'l OOS, using dual SIM (Tmo and ATT). Talk Text works on both no issue. VoLTE works on both. VoWiFi works on TMo, not sure for ATT since its Work SIM.

For those of you who have flashed international firmware, have any of you been able to relock your bootloader after the fact to get rid of the boot warning and to make protected apps (Google Pay, etc) work? Seems like, using a OnePlus image, this should work...

Msmtoolkit is the best and safest way to lock your booloader. However with magiskhide the apps you mentioned should work. Unless they are checking the bootloader status

I know this thread is getting old but yes. I unlocked the bootloader on T-Mobile varient, flashed international firmware, did an immediate OTA update and then relocked the bootloader. All is great. Using a dual SIM tray now and both SIM slot work fine...no issues.
Several sellers in Japan are selling almost new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S20 5G UW for around 300 USD.
I understand the sim is locked to Verizon. Is there a way to unlock it?
As far as I know, the Verizon s20 doesn’t even ask for an unlock code when another carrier’s SIM is inserted, so it seems most eBay services don’t work.
The seller said it would be automatically unlocked after 60 days after purchase (or activation? I’m not sure), but I’m not convinced that this will work because the seller never inserted Verizon sim in it . The 60 day unlock only works if you are in the US and use Verizon sim for 60 days right?
So is there any other way or free/paid service to unlock the SIM?
(I live in Japan. Checked the IMEI provided by the seller and it’s clean)
I need help with my Samsung S20 (SM-G781V) from Verizon, I need to unlock the network but I don't know how to do it, is there any firmware with network unlock? Can I install a firmware from Chile of the SM-G780 model?
I already purchased the s20 ultra 5G from Amazon with the Verizon firmware and lock. I had already tried changing the ROM to de G988U1 (Unlock firmware) and in the first 5 mins works with a different SIM but then the phone display a message blocking the signal of the SIM that doesn't was Verizon.
Also i had paid the unlock service and they (the unlock service) cant give me the unlock codes because Verizon never answered the requested.
So I still had searching for a different solution than purchasing a Verizon SIM with a 60 days plan.
Plis if someone know a different form tell us. ( Maybe root the phone, but I dont have any experience with that)
