I needed to make some space available on my Nexus 7 2013 and I uninstalled a few junk apps. And since I hadn't used the Google app to search anything for years, I first uninstalled the app updates and then disabled the app. After restarting the device I'm now stuck in the boot loop animation for about 5 minutes, followed by "Android is starting- optimizing apps" and when that process is complete the boot animation cycle begins again.
After doing some research I think there is no launcher now on my tablet and it's causing the boot loop. I'm running Android 6.0.1, not rooted and boot loader is locked. So frustrating that Google allows this.
Anything I can do besides factory reset? I have some important things on it and my latest backup is pretty old (I know my fault).
Thank you in advance.
I got this trouble on my Android phone 6.0.1 No reply for this issue? Anyone can help
I had this with the ota update on one of my n7 a few years back.
disabling google voice assistant puts you in a boot loop when you update.
I think i ended up flashing over adb all the way back to kitkat (had battery drain in standby issue too) then doing the ota update from scratch.

I've been using Android Revolution 9.2 and this morning installed 10.0. Everything was working fine for a while, then all of a sudden the GAPPS process started force-closing and I lost all access to the Play Store. I would click on the play store icon and it would just bounce me back to the launcher (in this case, Nova Launcher 2.0). I decided I need to reflash Android Rev HD 10.0 (I have CWM Recovery 6.0.1 installed). The AROMA installer would start, but it would always lock up at some point before the installation began, usually at the prompt to backup the efs partition, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. I haven't been able to get a clean flash started. I even tried to go back to 9.2, but the same thing is happening.
I did a factory reset hoping it would fix the problem, but the GAPPS process continues to crash and I can't access google to restore my apps. So I'm really up **** creek here. Am I looking at a bad RAM problem all of a sudden? (god, I hope not!).
Any help/advice would be welcome.

Last week I rooted my Xperia S, unlocked the bootloader, flashed XZXperience 2 and flashed RaymanX kernel.
Everything was working fine, today I formatted the Internal Storage using the Android OS and from CWM Factory reset, wipe cache partition and Dalvik cache. Phone booted ok again.
The problem is I installed something called Google Play cracked installer without thinking too much of what it was, and after formatting the phone my google play looked like a smily face still. From this Google play app I selected to reinstall stock Googleplay and reboot.
Now, the phone rebooted and said optimizing applications 1 of 1, and is constantly stuck on Android is upgrading.. Starting applications.
The battery cannot be removed and I cannot turn the phone off.
What should I do now? Before this I had Fastboot and CWM installed, now stuck in this loop
Thanks.
Found out if you hole Volume up and Power button for 5 seconds it hard resets/turns off.
Did that, turned phone back on and seems to have booted back into the phone.

The thing is that I had that Cracked Play Market too, just wanted to unlock the country restrictions but it didn't work, you could have just deleted the Vending.apk from system/apps and then reinstall the original Play market : ) It worked for me.
Maybe you know but, always try backuping your rom before doing something, I messed up my phone once and after that doing backup everytime when trying something new
Dude,
Don't use any cracked apps or installers. They carry viruses and other dodgy push apps which can fill your phone with rubbish and worse case leave it bricked.
Just leave them well alone.

I didn't find any other threads that mentioned this issue with Android Pay and a non-rooted VZW Note 4.
I have tried a factory reset of my phone. Once, restoring the apps from backup. When the app still didn't not open past the Android Pay logo, I tried another reset and set it up as a new phone. The app still don't not work. When loading the app the first time, it brought up a window, that looks as if it is logging in but never goes past the loading screen
My device is not rooted
google play services version 8.1.15(2250156-230)
Thanks.

Try these, Google Play Service (8.1.15 238)
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-8-1-15-2250156-238-android-apk-download/
Android Pay
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-pay/android-pay-1-0-103342659-android-apk-download/
Those are the correct ones for the Verizon Note 4. But since I'm rootd and with a custom ROM, I can't use Android Pay.
I wish I could say this worked, but I still get the same result. Just the Android Pay loading screen. Thanks
Hey guys, I have a rooted H810 that recently started acting up. It boots no apps at startup. There are a handful I want to auto boot, but they no longer do, for whatever reason. I haven't changed anything I can think of. I even downloaded the app AutoStart to assist, but THAT won't start at boot to fire up the other apps. Any ideas?? Thanks
I just realized that auto boot for all apps is getting turned off in App Ops. I set them to auto start, and it defaults back every time I reboot. Any way to fix this?
I tried freezing App Ops in ti, but same result.
Hey guys,
after years I finally had to update the apps on my mom's phone because what'sapp was about to quit working without it. I did that and after the first app update the phone crashed and ended up in a bootloop. It always crashes again when it says "starting apps". I also don't know which Rom I installed on the phone years before she got it.
1. How can I figure out the Rom name in TWRP?
2. How can I fix the bug without a full wipe?
