This used to work in Nougat simply by flashing a flashable font zip but now in Oreo this does not work. It uses some stock font instead which I think isn't very nice and I'd like to go back to Helvetica Neue. Is there a file within the APK I can change to replace the font? I'm using Omni 8.1 ROM right now but I guess this applies for any phone with Android 8.X
If you flash magisk you got modules that can change your front.
there is also on the playstore a app called "Emoji switcher".
I'm using that right now on beta 29.

Anyone have a way of replacing the ugly data icons with the Android stock ones?
Why moto continues to do **** like this baffles me.
Root your device, install Xposed, install gravitybox module, change your signal icons

Sorry, where in gravitybox can you change the signal icons?
Bump?
Root, then install xposed and then install flat style bar indicators

Use this link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.s0bes.letsbethelongestpackagename.motocheckbox
This is an Xposed module through which one can use AOSP data icons in the status bar.
Also it showcases many more functions. Been using it to get rid of them ugly data icons on my Moto X 2014 running Stock Marshmallow.

How are you installing the xposed framework? I installed the installer in the link you shared, but when i open it and go to the (Framework) tab, it tells me...
"xposed is not (yet) compatible with android SDK version 23 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)
Cannot link executable: library "libdvm.so" not found
Edit: I just figured out why it's not working. The description says it's only compatible with Android 4.0 - 4.4
I found a version for marshmallow. I'll try it out a little later, it appears to need to be flashed manually via recovery. I still have the stock recovery.

Yep, you need to flash the framework file for your architecture type using TWRP or some other custom recovery and then install the latest Xposed framework apk file.
Check out forums for more help , before doing anything drastic to your device.

It's incorrect. You need the arm.zip version. The 617 is a 32-bit chip.
Thread cleaned.
Less of the OT and argument please. Respect the thread topic and take the debate elsewhere.
I installed AOSP Signal Icons Xposed module and worked fine for me, now I have the stock signal icon and it gets the dark variant (there was a bug on Motorola's Stock Rom that didn't let it be dark)

Is there any way to change font style on my oneplus 3? And also is it possible to change quick settings icons?
I'm on a rooted OxygenOs 4.0.3 and using twrp recovery
For flashable fonts visit this thread. Don't forgett to mount system before flash it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/fonts-flashable-zips-t2964304
Now about icons, you can change these via substratum in custom ROMs, but I'm not sure if OOS support that.

Does anyone have any idea his to change the System UI color or accent because the Teal is very ugly. I hope there is a method without root because I'm not trying to lose OTA's.
I used Substratum X Andromeda via ADB enabled and now since it isn't allowed with Android Pie I can't edit anything without root.
Any ideas anyone? :crying: :highfive:

In Oreo it is possible by installing the apk of the color you want. When done that, it enables "Themes" in "Screen" in "Settings"
Google it, I found them in Mi A1 sub

Pix3lify from magisk also works like a charm, it even makes everything rounder just like it is on Pixel devices and roms.

Hey everyone! I have found something you will be interested in. If you have root you can buy and install "Swift Installer - Themes & Color Engine" you use magisk and root to apply overlays and you can choose your notification tool area transparency, your full device accent, and better yet it supports apps like Snapchat, GApps (Google Apps), Instagram, Spotify and more I will put the list of apps below!
List of apps your theme will get applied to: https://goo.gl/gS84kK
Google Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brit.swiftinstaller
I have been using this ever since it released its like their own Substratum Engine but awesome and for Pie users

Hello,
to be honest, I don't like the new Oreo emoji at all. Is there any app (or TWRP flashable zip file) that can change them to the Nougat ones? I have an unlocked bootloader so it's not a problem for me to use an app that requires root to change them. Thanks in advance.
I bring you a version of the super wallpapers installation via recovery. This version appears in the wallpaper settings without having to use any other application for activation. Tested by me on xiaomi.EU 20.6.11
New version
Fixed icons do not appear in the status bar In wallpaper settings
Download link Removed
There is now no need for this mod as the xiaomi.eu team has now added native support

Well done, thanks! :good:
Just one question: did you manage to get the clock on the AOD and lock screens to show time in 24h format, or does it show AM/PM for you? Also does it show the date as MM/DD or DD/MM?
you mean like that

It depends on whether you configured it to show in 12 hour format, it will show AM / PM. I configured it in 24 hour format and it doesn't show AM or PM

You can replace MiWallpaper.apk file in the Magisk module zip ("system/app/MiWallpaper/" folder) with the modded version by OP if you want.

Why not installing these updates yourself? Don't have Magisk? If you have Magisk, you can install Super Wallpapers APK with SAI (Split APKs Installer - configured to use "root" installation).
