[MOD] Touchwizz for Nexus 7 - Android 4.4.X and up !

Welcome to my little contribution to the (almost) most supported device on the forum.
Since MrMad.de's add-on doesn't work on KitKat, I manage to get a working Touchiz Launcher on Nexus 7 and decided to share.
It's NOT my work, I found this Launcher here on XDA long time ago, but I forgot the Developer name
- What you need:
- A Nexus 7 with Android 4.4.4
- Root
- xposed installer
- XTheme Engine (optional)
- 10 Minutes of your life
- Features:
- 5x5 Touchwiz Launher
- Note 8.0 Wallpapers
- Samsung Theme (XTheme or TMo Theme Chooser)
- AccuWeather Widget
- Installation:
1) Download the archive here (MediaFire, 36MB)
2) Go to Multirom recovery
3) Install, and choose the Zip.
4) Reboot and Enjoy.
- Mods:
* To get the 5x5 Launcher, grab xposed installer here here
Install framework and optionally reboot. Go to Download Tab and search fot 5x5 Touchwiz Launcher, download and install. Active the module and reboot.
* To make Touchwiz fit on your N7 Screen, change your DPI to 280 in build.prop or via this command

(to go back, use this

). Reboot/SoftReboot after the modifications.
If you don't want to use 280 as DPI, go grab Xposed Apps Settings here
Install it, Launch it, Change the following apps DPI to 280.
- SecLauncher2 (Touchwizz Launcher)
- AccuWeatherWidget
- AccuWeatherDaemon
- AccuWeatherMain
Reboot (or just SoftReboot).
* To get Touchwizz Them, Install XTheme Engine and Touchwizz 5 Free Theme for XTheme. Apply it, Reboot and see the magic !
* To get the Tabbed Settings, Install a XPosed Module called "Tabbed Settings"

tries to flash and install this on lolipop and seems it does not work.. .. Thanks anyways

It says this needs xposed, and xposed isnt working on 5.0 yet.

You need Xposed for this to work.
And the Apps may simply not work on LP sorry

Thought I would drop by and let ya know & give ya a big THANKS for this. I have been looking for something different and this worked great on my nabi2 but still needs some tweaking. I know they share a lot of hardware and system files so I took a shot. Also I am running our latest update, 4.4.2 KK. :good:

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes it is working for me. I just need to play around with DPI setting. The ones stated above will not work for me. Then I will decompile the actual Launcher App and play around with the smali and values and see about adding features to it if possible...... for me of course. I'll share it after asking for permission though.

Choose any custom accent color for OxygenOS
//Installation//
What you need:
-Xposed installed
-Custom Recovery
-the .apk
(0.Step) optional
-make a full backup(if anything goes wrong, what i don't think)
1.Step
-install the apk
-launch it
-activate the module
2.Step
-restart
//How to use//
Open the app
Type in a valid HEX color (#AARRGGBB)
Hit the change Button
Reboot
Go into the Customize Settings of your phone
Select the Accentcolor at the top left corner ( should look like your Custumcolor)

-Not every thing is themed
-If the Custumcolor is selected and used the app to set a new one and reboot, you need to reselect it at the Settings ( I think that's unfixable because it's part of the UI mechanics)

I can try it as soon as I can safely make a backup but maybe you should try to add the module in the xposed repo so more people will see it :good:

It's in the "downloads" section of the thread On top of the very first post it says "discussion" "screenshots" "downloads", etc.

Is this working with any OOS version? I'm on 2.2.0 will it work?

Hi, It's very interesting.
I wonder if it would be possible to allow any custom color for Battery notification too.
What do you think about that (I am not requesting the feature, just looking for information and maybe try to do it by myself) ?

Why not try some notification color changer app from store.. It may work with root

System UI Colors/Accent

Does anyone have any idea his to change the System UI color or accent because the Teal is very ugly. I hope there is a method without root because I'm not trying to lose OTA's.
I used Substratum X Andromeda via ADB enabled and now since it isn't allowed with Android Pie I can't edit anything without root.
Any ideas anyone? :crying: :highfive:

In Oreo it is possible by installing the apk of the color you want. When done that, it enables "Themes" in "Screen" in "Settings"
Google it, I found them in Mi A1 sub

Can you elaborate a little more? I googled android oreo color apk - all I found was this thread...closed for ripping/distributuing substratum themes.

Works here on Oreo

This magisk module is working on A2 lite pie

Pix3lify from magisk also works like a charm, it even makes everything rounder just like it is on Pixel devices and roms.

It only has the pixel theme.

Hey everyone! I have found something you will be interested in. If you have root you can buy and install "Swift Installer - Themes & Color Engine" you use magisk and root to apply overlays and you can choose your notification tool area transparency, your full device accent, and better yet it supports apps like Snapchat, GApps (Google Apps), Instagram, Spotify and more I will put the list of apps below!

very good sir! im testing it right now and it seems to work very well under pie. much better than substratum

select accent color in Display > Color Theme

[Updated : Android 10] Star wars Note 10+ special theme now available

UPDATED TO ANDROID 10
• You can now directly apply Star wars special edition theme on your Galaxy Device running One UI 2.0
• Tested on Samsung Galaxy A50.
For Android 10 :
• Directly install any one of the three apk files.
• Apply the theme from Settings > Themes > My stuff

• This doesn't permanently activate the theme, it's a trail version.

Well it is working on my note 8 but it need more modifications as the dialer, settings and gallery are not themed well in addition the sounds are not set on my phone but it is very good as a start keep it up

It's working nice but I am a note 10 plus user and I really liked the s pen sound effects so can you update it?

if you use custom one ui installer it won't install properly I guess.

What about an 8.0 device
I have a samsung j7 max running 8.0 so will it work on it??

i would very much like to know how you do that love the theme but the fact that after 10 mins is gone is so sad

• Don't use Custom One UI installer and hex installer, the theme won't apply properly. Only specific themes are designed to work on them.
• I don't want Samsung moderators to pull off this thread as the Star wars edition is just out.
• You can always use apps like package disabler pro to keep using Theme permanently. There are hundreds of tutorials on package disabler pro on YouTube.

• The theme was designed to work only on One UI devices.
• You can always download it and give a try, it's free. I currently don't have any Samsung Oreo device to test on.
• Anyways, I feel Batman Injustice theme from S7 edge was waay cooler, you should try that.

Did you followed the steps properly ?
My note 10+ has successfully applied the theme.
1) EXTRACT the B]Darkside RC.apk from the .ZIP file.
2) Download the APK installer app mentioned above.
3) OPEN APK installer app and Install the Darkside RC.apk
4) Open Samsung theme store and apply the theme.
Other users have already applied theme on their devices.

Yea I did all of that, I hit install says it installed and nothing changes saying it installed, or in the theme store saying its there

Working fine on factory unlocked Note 10+ with Android 10 beta for 10 minutes. Having an issue killing the 10 minute time out rule. Tried package disabler and no luck either.

Question Themes app for rooted mi pad 5?

After I have root on my pad, is there any module or any method to show themes app and install miui themes on my tablet?

I found some magisk modules on Mi pad 5 group on telegram but it didn't work. May there's something else to get it work.

I checked the telegram group but didn't see anything related to this.... so far I don't see any possible way

I've done it without rooting. It kinda works, main widget (weather + clock) is either too small or too big, also doesnt work on landscape mode, you will have problems in lockscreen etc.
I used miui theme kit apk to install theme and another app from play store that reveals hidden system apps shortcuts. App is there, it's just hidden, you can do some thing like get back to default theme.
That's a dissapointment because main reason i bought this pad is theme customisation. Most of MIUI features doesn't work here.

Check this out once https://t.me/redmipadofficial/1942 after u got root just flash this zip file which enables you to import and flash custom themes/fonts/wallpaper of your choice
You can get custom themes files from other Xiaomi device or from Google search miui themes then download the Mtz theme file and then
U have two ways to open this app,after u flash this magisk module u will not see any difference and can't see themes app in app drawer
1. Go to setting then in wallpaper and here u go with moded themes app
2. In steps -
long press on home screen ..choose wallpaper
top right ..choose themes icon
my account
themes .. import .. choose mtz files
apply and reboot once.
[Yeah, this mod themes app is taken from China miui Android phone rom hence it doesn't support landscape mode, bellow is the screen shot... Personaly I didn't found any good theme so I didn't flash any now but still good to have option in case u want to...]

I've tried this before and it would t work. I've seen the themes app is hidden but it will not open I receive the message it's not supported in your region. Changing the region doesn't help.

Will also suggest to try coustomiuizer 13 and Monet miui, allows you lot of customisation but one warnings don't mess up with charging animation... I messed once with lspossed wave apk from then on I am not able to find single method to get back to orginal charging animation... So now have to use that lsposed wave charging animation to hide stock crupted charging animation...
Otherwise everything works better than what miui gives...

I use customiuizer which is great. I will check out monet miui. All I really need now to make this perfect is to be able to change the grid size to utilise the full homescreen. Thanks.
