It must be your battery problem or the usage. For me, it really worked well.
Try DotOS. It is a beautiful rom and it gave me good battery backup.
Also throw in the project Horizon mod. Then it works buttery smooth. Performance and battery? Check.
Throw in some A.R.I.S.E sound mod. What about the sound?
Check it out yourself and go bonkers.

Try DoT N1 7.1.2 by BlueReptile, It has good battery backup.
You can try Project Beyond Horizon for better performance.
Over all good performance and smooth rom i have experience yet.

I am using miui 9 nougat and currently its antutu is above 17k and its very stable rom but I want to move on to oreo now can any one have suggestions for similar quality (i.e. stable and high antutu and large battery life) and I want google camera support too for that I want to switch to oreo rom for z2 plus and I am gaming freak and also love to watch movies and listening music using viper and dolby atmos......

As per my old experience with AEX it has very poor antutu and SOT is also less. Can you tell me about RR's antutu and Battery life?

how the hell did you get 173k ? i rarely get above 140K with AEX 5.2 (which is a respectable score for a SD820)

That ss is of new version of antutu(v7), you might be talking about v6 of antutu. Take a look at v6 antutu of jag Oreo.....

What is Jaguar, a rom or a kernel? Do you have the link?
Best rom for pubg? I am on PE and getting about 3.5 hours of sot while playing pubg. But the idle drainage is very huge. Any alternative??
Jaguar is definitely a good ROM . Almost better than every ROM out there. PUBG works smooth on it at temps around 55-60C but as of now VoLTE is broken on jaguar and DEV is trying his best to come up with a FIX .I would suggest BootLeggers as an alternative Antutu Score around 162K PUBG works smooth as well.

You have lot of options.
IMO I am using AEX 5.2 rooted with stock kernel and helix engine to balance battery and performance.
Enjoying my experience. No lags anywhere and able to get 6 and half hours of SOT.

Yes. You can download it from one plus forums. It does a really good job. It's an accessibility service like greenify. But it implements the dynamic control of cpu profiles.
Helps me get more SOT and giving me a good control whenever I need more performance.
You should definitely try it out

Nougat-Miui 9,h2os,viperos
Oreo-aex, pixelexperience, basically most Oreo roms are similar in terms of performance and battery, have charging issues, not as stable and bug less as nougat ones.

BootleggersROM very stable
I would also recommend bootleggers ROM. I am using it as my daily driver and I am immensely satisfied with it. I highly recommend to you this ROM.

I'm on DoTOS and it's really good; playing PUBG on highest possible settings very smoothly and on top of that it's probably the best looking rom out there

Plz don't focus on battery backup focus on performance
If u want is battery backup go for h2os
In citrus it's around 11%
In Jaguar 16-18% in very high settings like HDR and 60fps with anti aliasing and shadows enabled with 2k custom resolution
That too no lags moderate heating
Most of the roms have an avg battery drain of 14%
Try Lineage Rom 15.1 by Augustin it seems stable on me no lags Even HD reso and even in other games. I've just waiting the June updates. I just customize the sounds.

Just avg not that good battery life
If you want battery life then u should flash akt and use some strong battery profiles

Well best kernel for tweaking is nameless kernel with akt on treble roms
For non treble roms use heliox kernel 2.0 with akt
Use ghostpepper profile of akt usually for gaming
Use xana battery if u want battery
Flash akt via twrp
Download terminal emulator from play store
Type su command and then AKT then chose profile
Search for akt 1.6 in other z2 threads I have uploaded in many threads
Due to network error I'm unable to upload it here

I'd suggest Arrow pie and aosip pie. They both rock. However aosip has less customisation options available

Bootleggers is also excellent in battery life.. it also has lots of customisations. On the other hand Arrow OS and AEX is also very good... With Arrow OS getting faster updates (weekly)

If you want fluidity and smoothness without any animation shuttering then go with pixysos. Its buttery smooth like I'm using any pixel device. Battery is also decent. I'm in love with pisysos.

I personally like Both ROMs are very stable giving great battery backup in compared to all other pie ROMs available right now both gives 5-6 hrs of SOT and They are quite good in pubg but they slightly lag sometimes (I have the stable wifi connection ) but the gaming was decent it gives 3-3.5 hrs of continues gaming ??
