Hi everyone, guys.
I am an old owner of oneplus one and as such I have installed many different roms on it.
Yesterday I bought a mi6 in the 4gb version of ram and 64gb of internal memory.
My question is as follows:
The roms present in these topic can be installed only on the version of 6gb of ram or even on versions with 4gb ?
Thanks for any answers

Probably not much harm to try.
The question is: does Xiaomi list a separate firmware for the 4gb version or are you able to flash the same MIUI as the 6gb version?
If the same then yes should be fine to flash the ROMs here
If not then you need to work out what the difference is between the firmwares to find the difference you need for building ROMs for the 4gb variant.
Personally I think you'll find it's the same firmware and it just detects the amount of ram when booting. Like a PC

Hello!
I want to get a Mi Max 64GB / 3GB RAM / 652+510 .
My understanding is that this is helium... any change this will get custom ROMs or official Cyanogenmod?
Any chance these phones will get Nougat?
Anyone knows if there is far more support for Hydrogen or for Helium?
(I am deeply confused, even after reading about these things...)

I can only suggest to check other xda mi max threads about this topic, as it has been discussed many times.

Helium all the way. Go big or go home. Yes we will get Nougat in the future.
Hello guys,
Well i just bought a Lenovo K5 2GB variant a6020a40, and i am searching xda and internet for rooting, recovery and bootloader but i don't get this things. If anybody can clarify it and help me in getting it, thanks a lot.
1. How many variants are there is there any difference between them?
2. Mine is a6020a40, so if i flash things of a6020a46 will it make a difference. Because both are a6020.
3.what is the difference between a6020a40 and a6020a46.
4. Do we need to unlock bootloader for rooting and recovery.
5. How many types of processors are used in both variants k5 and k5 plus.
6. Mine is sd 615 as cpu z and aida64 says, but the box and online description says it must have to be sd616, is there any problem with my phone.
Thanks in advance.
Anybody, please.........
I am waiting guys, pls answers
So should i assume that nobody want to give answers, i cant wait anymore to root my phone

So flashing a6020a40 stock firmware or roms or things on a6020a46 have no effect, or vice versa
1) Some models have 2GB and others 3GB of RAM. FM receiver appear be different between some models. Using AOKP firmware, FM radio not work on l36 variant.
4) Have one topic for TWRP in this forum and yes, bootloader can be unlock in the first time for install recovery.
6) Have some variations of processor, but are compatible and the main difference appear be display resolution. 720p in s416 and 1080p in s616.
In the Brazil exist only the version s616, but the name of smartphone is only K5 (no have Plus denomination).

It will effect
Always have a TWRP backup of your native ROM and then you can try, almost all Roms are for the Snapdragon K5 plus variants.

About phone
I don't have it but I read that ota 8.5.3 is out.
That looks like a shop rom, should have updated to 8.2 at least by now.

You have fake ROM, latest is 8.5.3.0 Global Stable ( Global Developer also support Mi 5S, but I don't remember latest version, you can find it on MIUI forum ).
Indeed fake rom.
Original ROMs are in the version numbering x.x.x.x (like the new 8.5.3.0), yours has x.x.x.x.x (five numbers). That is clearly a fake one.
It's kind of a silly question but will the custom roms work for the 32gb rom version of the mi5s? I'm asking because it isn't really a popular option.
yes they should
Yes they do. I'm using the 32GB variant and all ROMs I've tried so far work just fine (xiaomi.eu MIUI, LOS, AEX, XOS etc).

Yes, it's silly question . There are no difference between all versions of Mi 5S in source.
Can I find a list somewhere that tells how much internal and RAM memory each version of Lineage OS needs?
And, I guess older versions often need less memory than newer versions?
I am thinking about to install lineage OS 14 on a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.
I have found out that there is a Lineage OS 14 version for this phone.
But, can I find 13 or 12? If so, do the need less memory? Would it be better to install a older version?
And, how stable is lineage OS 14 for this phone?
And will Samsung Galaxy S4 mini works as a USB host with Lineage OS 14 installed?
For s4 mini specific information please go to device sub forum.
Here some general considerations: People often say old devices are too weak for modern android versions. I think this is a legend promoted by device markers for not providing updates. Early users of new versions often confirm that legend. But they compare stable old versions with unstable new versions. Nougat is OK now.
Regarding storages: main difference between nougat ROMs is preinstalled apps. They get even bigger by installing gapps. MicroG is a resource friendly (and privacy oriented) replacement for some gapps features.

Official LOS14 running fine on my S4 Mini & very stable (though dialer has crashed a couple of times when answering a call but I am the only person who seems to have this… maybe due to to fact I used the migration tool for moving from unofficial LOS14 to official LOS14 to move from CM13 to LOS14, so I can't complain) Install TWRP fromS4 mini neozone thread & update modem also if available for your S4 Mini version.
Ok, thanks.
But it would also be nice to know how much memory lineage OS need. It would be better to find a smaller phone than the samsung galaxy s4 mini, but how do I know if I can install lineage on it?
On gsmarena.com I can find alot of information about all phones, so I can see how much internal and ram memory all phones have.
Yes. It is not easy to find a small phone with good lineage support. It's not like Linux for PCs, where ram and disk space are the limiting factors. For custom android you need someone to build a ROM or do it yourself. S3 mini or moto e are OK.
