So out of curiosity I flashed this ROM(Sailfish OS) as suggested.Everything worked great. But the problem started the moment I tried to restore my previous ROM.IlI wiped everything except internal through twrp 3.0 to get back to my daily driver Lineage14.1. But the device failed to restore it.So i again cleaned everything except internal and flashed cynogenmod13. Which Showed no signs of error during flashing sequence. So i thought everything is working fine except for the fact that there are (may be) issues with my nandroid backups .But boy I was wrong! The device refuses to even bOotup till the ZUL logo.It just vibrates for hardly a second with a blink of white notification LED and shuts down itself. No matter whatever time you try to boot up it,nothing happens, not even the TWRP boots up. I am clueless now, help needed.
As far as I know, you cant restore backup made with different version of TWRP. for example, you cant restore backup made on 3.1.1 to 3.2.
It will give you soft brick.
In this case, you can try holding power button when its vibrating with white led and hope to boot to TWRP. If no, try to reflash TWRP through adb. If this fails, only QFIL...

Hey guys,
I went to flash a new stable build of Froyo on my Desire this morning.
And i backed up using Clockwork, and then the ROM all installed fine. But once the phone had booted up, it stayed on the custom boot logo, despite the keypad lighting up, the green charge LED coming on and me being able to lock and unlock the phone.
So i figured that this was a problem and went to back to restore my old ROM and carry on like i have done many times before. However once i have booted into Clockwork, and gone to the recovery section, i select my most recent backup and the device then says "No Files Found" in the recovery zip.
And when i try to install update.zip from my SDCard the device just flashes up with installation text for about 2 seconds then vanishes and goes back to the clockwork menu having done nothing
What can i do?
i wouldnt worry about it too much
your phone completely works and youre not restricted of any access
seeing that clockwork is not finding any files have you tried making a new backup?
have you tampered with the recovery lately?
if recovery is not finding any files then maybe there is a problem with it, and if i were you i'd reroot my phone with unrevoked to re-install recovery.
if your recovery actually just does not work it could mean that the recovery image is corrupt, this can be fixed by installing a RUU (note that this will unroot your phone but re-install the recovery image).
if this is not the case then im sure im soon to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable than me
Well, i wiped the Cache and Data and now the phone boots up and functions fine, however both mobile internet and Wi-Fi both dont work, but i figure this is just the rom i am using.
So i'm just gonna reroot, sideload clockwork and what not and then try putting the Desire HD rom on it haha.
Thanks for the help
Recently I flashed RebelRom Beta 2, it resulted in a the LG logo being displayed on my phone but nothing would happen. So I did a restore from CWM, and the restore worked fine for a couple of days but at some point my phone lost power. Now whenever I turn it on I get boot loops and am unable to get into CWM. My question is is my phone bricked, and what can I do to avoid another brick? (Note I never formatted /data and I always follow installation instructions.)

It's a known problem, at this point the solution is to restore you back and don't shut off your phone. Reboots work fine, but shut off will boot loop it.
Hmmm so I can't turn off my phone. What do you mean by reboot/how do I reboot? Also does this mean I can't flash roms anymore? And finally is there a fix on the horizon?
Hey guys,
ARRRGHHH I'm such an idiot .. in my haste to jump back from tbalden's CM10 (4.1) mod back towards stock (as it was pretty unusable on my phone, performance issues and what not), I think I've messed my phone up.
So, my phone's now stuck in an endless loop, I've got Clockworkmod recovery v5.8.3.1 still working and I need to get back to an old version (or stock) version of my phone. I have a feeling all my problems started when I tried to go back to my earliest nandroid backup but didn't have the boot.img for it. And then trying to flash a ROM without turning on USB debugging.
Essentially, I've tried to restore from a previous backup, but I get stuck in an endless boot cycle when I leave CMR. I tried doing the erase cache but everytime I try inside recovery/fastboot, I end up with a <waiting for device> message in CMD. I can only imagine that this is because USB debugging wasn't turned on before I went through the backup. So now, i'm left without a boot, a nandroid backup that'll work, and can't use fastboot (because of the usb debugging?) Any ideas? Anyone? I'm left without a phone because of my stupidity and it just keeps rebooting over and over.
Note that I still have 3 nightly builds on my SD card but I can't flash the related boot.img because USB debugging is turned off.
Help!
EDIT: False alarm, on the umpteenth try .. one of the backups worked .. phew ..
So, I flashed the latest twrp, and the phone booted into recovery; I tried to backup immediately, and it failed..I was trying to back up to my external sd, so I am not sure if that had anything to do with it...
Now, the tablet reboots on its own, sits at my lock screen for awhile, then reboots again; when its at the lock screen, I cant get it to do anything...
Any suggestions or help?
Everything was working perfectly before flashing TWRP...
thanks!
/EDIT:
Alright, the thread can be closed. I somehow managed it.
In case someone faces the same issue, I used twrp to dd the sdf files back on the phone which stopped the reboots. After that, just wiped and formatted everything again and reinstalled the ROM.
Hello guys,
I hope you can help me with this issue since I've tried everything I know to fix this problem.
The plan:
Unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP and xiaomi.eu ROM on a new device.
Changing its IMEI with QPTS/QFIL afterwards.
What happened:
Unlocked successfully. Installed TWRP, xiaomi.eu ROM and Magisk.
After pulling the QCN backup and editing the file I pushed it back to the phone what seemed to work.
After rebooting, I noticed that the phone rebooted 5 seconds after showing me the "Enter PIN" screen.
Booted up again and the same thing happened.
I booted into TWRP, wiped and formatted "data", installed the ROM again. The phone started up normally and there was no reboot.
I went back to TWRP and flashed Magisk, the phone crashed again and everytime I boot it up, it immediately reboots after some seconds. Installing Magisk somehow triggers the phone to reboot on its own.
I thought to start over, flashed everything from stock using Mi Flash Tool and the newest China Rom.
After starting up the phone, the issue still exists. This time with this rom there is no difference between installing Magisk or not, the phone always reboots after showing up the miui welcome/setup screen.
Current situation:
The phone boots up Android, reboots after some seconds and goes into fastboot automatically. After the fastboot timeout it again reboots automatically, goes into the OS and crashes again and on and on.
No matter what I do, I can't keep the phone from rebooting.
And since I can't flash Magisk, I have no root.
This means that I can not use root to put the phone into diag mode to restore the original qcn file.
I have backups of the EFS partition and also sdf7/8/9/10 files. I just don't know how to restore them given the current situation.
Thank you very much in advance for your support!
Cheers
